"Almost done." said Nimble Mind, as he finished setting up the final bookshelf in the lobby of his house. The dark purple unicorn strained to move the massive thing with his magic, barely able to get the shelf to move. He only moved in a few days ago, and hasn't even been out of his house except to get his shipments of books from the local post office, and was finally able to start setting up shop.

(I am going to assume the Hoofington Clinic one is not affecting this RP).
Apple Cider was spending the winter catching up with her friends and family in Hoofington. She was walking through the main town when she saw a new store, a bookstore. "Hm, I'm wonderin what kind of readin materials they got in there?" She approached the door and gave a knock. "Hey! Are ye open? I don' see any open sign hanging on yer window."

Nimble jumps at the sound of another pony in his shop. "Oh, you surprised me! Welcome to Textual Treasures! How may I help you?" Nimble said with enthusiasm, as he turns around to find a young mare who looked like she lived out in the country. "I'm sorry about not having a sign, I just moved in."

"Oh, sorry to be startling you like that. I just was passin through an saw yer store here and was interested in seeing what ye had to offer. By the way, I'm Apple Cider. Nice to meet ya! I grew up here in Hoofington, and now I live in Appleoosa. I tend to come back to my hometown though from time to time."

"That's no problem, I should put in a spell that alerts me when somepony enters my shop. I'm Nimble Mind, but you can call me Nimble, and I just moved here, as you can tell." Nimble says as he puts up books with his magic. "If you need something specific, just tell me the name or subject and I'll see if I have it, otherwise you're free to look around, but some of my books are still in boxes."

"Thank you kindly, but I'm just browsin, seein if anything peaks my interest." She began to look at the books that were on the shelves, starting with the area on farming. "So, what brings you to Hoofington Nimble? It's not everyday that some pony decides to settle down here."

"I guess I just like it here. With all the noise in the big cities, I just couldn't stand it, I would have moved to Appleloosa, but the dry air there would have harmed some of the older books in my collection." Nimble said as he opens a box and starts putting the books on the shelf.

"I understand," Apple Cider said as she looked at a book titled '100 Apple Recipies.' "Personally I have verly little desire to be seein a big city like Manehattan or Canterlot. I'm happy livin in Appleoosa where everypony knows my name and I know theirs. Hoofington's the same way: quiet yet full of friendly ponies. Have ya met any other ponies here since you moved here?"

"Oh no, not yet. I've been cooped up in here, trying to get it presentable, and I haven't been able to get out for more than a jaunt to the post office to pick up a delivery of books." Nimble finished putting up the box of books, and turned toward the door to his kitchen. "Would you like something to drink?"

"That would be mighty kind of ya Nimble. I could use somethin to wet my whistle. I hope that when yer all ready with settin up this here store you can get the chance to see the town. It's a really nice place."

Nimble went back into the kitchen and put some water on to boil. "I hope you like tea. And I plan on getting out, I only have a few more boxes to unpack, I should be done by the end of the day."

"Tea would be nice," Apple Cider replied as she looked at the same book. Although she preferred apple cider, she didn't want to be rude to the pony, especially since he was just starting out in Hoofington. As she waited, she became more and more interested in the cooking book she was reading. AC wasn't much of a chef, only knowing how to prepare a few things. Yet hopefully with this book she could make things other than just apple cider.

Nimble pulls the kettle off of the burner, and pours the water into the cups."Alright, the tea will be ready in just a few minutes." Nimble walks out of the kitchen to find Apple Cider reading one of the cookbooks he has intently. "You find something you like?"

Kuruka strode into the new bookstore, not really paying the other ponies much attention. She was a mare on a mission and there would be no delay today. She glanced over the book selections with purpose before snorting in frustration. "You have maps of Everfree Forest?" she asked the ponies behind her, uncertain which was in charge. It took a moment for her to realize she had just interrupted a conversation, but she forced a stern expression to mask her embarrassment. "I ask your pardon, but I am in much hurry." Oh, that tea smelled good! Perhaps she could... No! Kuruka clamped down on her cheek, her own way of making sure she stayed focused. She could socialize later.
