Quillson hadn't expected everypony to suddenly approach the overly shy Unicorn all at once. He figured it would be best to back off, and let the others talk to her for a while. They seemed to be just as concerned, and adding him to the mix would probably just have made the situation worse.
Quillson turned back to his papers and typewriter, considering himself to be too close to the others. He'd been told before the non-stop tap tap tap of his hooves on the keys could drive the sanest ponies mad, so rather than bother the others he decided to move again. He scooped up his bag, stuffing the papers half heartedly in the pouches. Strapping the writing machine in as well, Quill swung the back across his back and moved further from the group.
He finally found himself at the far end of the store, near a window looking out at the snowy landscape of surrounding Hoofington. The trees and hills beyond looked absolutely lovely in the snow dimmed lights of the outdoors. He plopped down at the base of the window, resituating his various writing implements. Once the typewriter was propped up before him, Quill set to work.

Apple Cider didn't expect that practically everypony would be accompanying her to meet Aestella. The poor pony must feel very embarrassed, and worse yet, Apple Cider was part of the problem. Perhaps she could help Aestella as a way to fix it. "Well if yer lookin' to find someplace to live here, I would check with the mayor of Hoofington. She should be able to help you find a place. If you need a place to live and a place for a business or somethin' she can help you too with that. There always seems to be at least one house fer sale or rent along here. Do ya have a place ta stay in the meantime?"

Nimble looks at Aestella, smiling. "Well, I would talk to the mayor, but the town hall is on the other side of town, and with this storm, I'm not sure you should go just yet. I'd wait for the storm to settle. Until then, I'm happy to assist you, and everypony here, to the best of my abilities. And don't you worry about Kuruka leaving, I'm sure she had something important to do, it wasn't your fault."

Aestella nods as one after the other the two ponies explain what she needed to do to become a resident of the town. Grateful that the two of them were speaking to her in turns and in calm manners, she thought a little more about what they had said. "Talk to the mayor, that shouldn't be too difficult... her office is on the other side of town?" She looked out the window into the storm. "I guess they are right, I'll have to wait this out." Turning back to the others, she forced herself to give a small smile, though a slightly creepy smile of a pony who never quite got used to the expression.
"T-thank you both very much, for the information. As for a place to stay in the meantime..." She frowned, unsure of where to take the conversation. She didn't have anywhere planned to stay, and waiting outside the mayor's office wasn't an option. "N-no... I don't have one. I don't suppose walking to an inn is still possible in this weather?" She looked back and forth between the others, hoping that some solution could be reached where she didn't have to bother or be bothered by anypony.

The typewriter beneath Quillson's hooves tapped away sporadically and continuously in the dimly lit edge of the book store. Maintaining his focus was key to make the writing come out fluidly and comprehensive. His mind flowed through the timeline of the trip's events, flashing between the various ponies and events that he'd come across on the way to the small town of Hoofington.
Soon enough he reached the point where he had arrived at the bookstore, unsure of how to continue with his writing. He looked up slowly, glancing between the bookshelves near by at the other ponies inside. It would seem their conversation had moved onto Aestella's housing, and she was unsure of where to go. Quill had been on his way to Hoofington's Inn when he'd arrived here to take shelter... maybe he should chime in and help the pony out.
Quill locked his keyboard on the machine, standing up and turned back towards the other side of the store. He walked slowly back towards the group, finally speaking up once he believed himself to be within ear shot.
"If you all don't mind me jumping back into the conversation here, I'd like to offer Aestella some aid. I was on my way to the Inn here in town when the storm became so rough. Once it clears up again, I would be happy to help you find the place." He faced Aestella by this point, smiling at the shy Unicorn softly. he then returned to speak to the group as a whole. "That is, unless somepony has a preferred or more beneficial proposition. Either way, the options there."

"Aestella, if ya like, I can have you stay at my parents' house. It's only a short walk away. You'll get a comfy bed ta sleep in, some nice homecooked meals, and all the apples ya can eat. Best of all, my parents would be happy ta have you over. What do ya say?"

Nimble glances outside again, the storm still blowing hard. "Well, by the looks of the weather, you all might want to stay the night here, or risk getting lost in this blizzard. I have a few spare blankets and pillows in my back room, and if anypony wants the bed, I'm willing to give it up, I haven't really slept in it in a while anyways. I've been falling asleep at my reading desk lately"

"T-thank you all for the offers... It very n-nice of you." Aestella stammered, her mind still reeling from all three ponies offering her a place to stay for the night. Though Apple Cider's offer sounded like it would be the most comfortable for most, Aestella knew that it would involve meeting yet more new people, and she would hate to embarrass herself or cause anymore strangers discomfort. Quillson had offered to lead her to the local inn, which sounded that a great idea. A nice quiet room, far away from anypony where she wouldn't have to worry about being a nuisance. However, as Nimble pointed out, the weather probably wasn't exactly willing to let her travel to any other building anytime soon. Luckily, Nimble did offer to let everypony stay the night and at least since this was a bookstore, Aestella wouldn't have to worry about anything completely random startling her.
"I'm s-sorry, Apple Cider... Quillson... but I think I'm going to take Nimble up on his offer... If it is ok with you two..." She stared down at her hooves, sadly, anticipating the disappointment that Apple and Quillson were sure to express at her denial of their offers. In a whisper, she asked Nimble; "W-would it be alright, if I stayed for the night?" Though she really hoped to Nimble would say yes, not only for someplace warm to stay, but for even the slightest semblance of pleasant company, Aestella still felt the pangs of guilt for having to be such a bother and wondered if it wouldn't be better for everypony if she left the building to sleep under a tree or something.

As the other ponies all presented their offers to Aestella, Quillson stood quietly off to the side, nodding in return to the others. Nimble Mind had been kind enough to offer everypony there to stay the night. What an admirable host! Quill would most likely take him up on that offer, seeing the storm outside with no end in sight. If all the ponies were this kind in Hoofington, Quillson was going to have a wonderful time.
When Aestella responded to their various questions, Quillson smiled and took a step towards the unicorn. "Oh, don't worry about it Aestella! It doesn't matter to me, not one bit. I just thought I'd put the offer out there if you wanted it." He then turned towards Nimble Mind.
"And that is VERY generous of you Nimble Mind. It's very kind of you to offer your home like this to a few new ponies. I would love to stay the night if your offer still stands. Normally I'd make my way to the inn, but like you said about the storm I feel I'd be better off here." he took a step back from the group, keeping eye contact with Nimble. He kept the grin on his face, waiting patiently for his host's answer.

"Ah you don' have ta worry Aestella. I was just tossin that offer to ya. If ya prefer ta stay here with Nimble, that suits me just fine. If ya need anything in the future, don' hesitate ta ask. My parents are very helpful to everypony in Hoofington. And thanks Nimble fer offerin' your place for Aestella, and for you Quillson fer suggestin the inn."

[Going to close this off, been meaning to do this and get a summary, though I'm not sure that one is necessarily needed. If anyone has any ideas, problems, concerns or threats to throw my way, feel free to chime in at the chat or in a PM. Otherwise, moving this into the archives.]
