Golden Light's parents had woken him up early today and at first the filly was confused. There wasn't much reason to have been woken up right? Nothing was happening was it? With his thoughts going through his head, he attend breakfeast as was the norm even though they were in a new home. Course what they told him had him surprised. They wanted him to do...what?! "B...But mom.....I..." Golden Light started nervously. "Now Golden Light, surely you don't think that you need us around in order for you to go outside and make some new friends right?" his mother questioned with a kind voice. "I know this place is new and most likely a bit scary for you but it won't do any harm for you to meet some other ponies your age or just to meet anypony." "She's right youngster, now eat up. You got yourself some exploring to do and ponies to meet an greet." his father added, Golden Light's ears lowered a bit. "B...ut what about you two?" Golden Light asked. "Oh don't worry, we'll still be in town and looking for jobs. We're bound to bump into each other while we're all doing what we set out to do." His mother replied as she raised a hoof and put it on Golden Light's head. Her smile was still there and sadly Golden Light didn't feel like smiling back. While he was glad to be free of Manhatten and the fancy ponies there but moving to a new place was scary in itself. Sure the town itself didn't look scary it was just new and he wasn't used to it yet. Course his parents did have a point, he had to go out and talk to other ponies. Besides if he didn't do it now then he'd do it while at school. Well might as well look around the town before that happens. With breakfeast done, Golden Light headed out of the small house, his ears were still lowered though he had them stand up as he started the street. Welp no turning back now.

Unbeknownst to the pony, a scaly figure was stalking the streets of Fillydelphia. She had just been given a scroll a few minutes earlier and was given free reign of the city. Having been curious about this large place since she arrived, Sylvia placed the affidavit into the satchel that was slung over her her side like a saddlebag. The streets were oddly empty for a city, but things were starting to settle down now that the enemy dragon had been apprehended.
Sylvia herself was glad to help. As she crawled through the streets, she sniffed the air. The scent of smoke was still apparent, but thankfully the army had put out most of the fires that had been started. Things were slowly returning to normal it seemed, though it would be a long time before the city was back in its prime.
The dragon tilted her head as she saw a gleam of gold. She was curious, and as she rounded the corner, she frowned when she saw it was just a pony, a very tiny one at that. Looming above him, Sylvia cleared her throat, "Excuse me, young one, are you lost?" Her voice was low and melodic, but certainly didn't have a ponyesque quality to it. She looked as non-threatening as a dragon could be, though her toothy smile didn't help as she stared down at the tiny foal with slitted eyes.

The first thing that caught his attention was the sudden shadow over him, which resuletd in him pausing in his hoof steps. The voice came next and he turned his head around, though ruby eyes soon widened greatly upon what he saw. Never before had he seen such a tall creature before! A dragon was something the young pony hadn't expected on seeing every; considering he kept himself busy with books. Ears lowered completly as he stood there, both in shock and fear of course. The only large things he had seen in Manhatten were the buildings, this was overwhelming.
"N..n..n..." Golden light stammered weakly as he merely stared, the stone within his pendant didn't glisten in the shadow of the dragon but was in full view to her.
Golden light soon gave up on speaking and weakly shook his head. He hadn't traveled far to get lost, his new home was a just a little bit back the way he came. Course...he was rather too spooked to move a hoof in either direction.

Sylvia tilted her head. Though her eyes did fall upon the pendant for a moment, she didn't give into greed like most dragons. Instead she sat down on her haunches and raised a scaly brow as the pony stuttered. "There's no reason to be afraid, little one. The name's Sylvia. You looked a bit lonely so I figured you may have been lost." She tried to look as non-threatening as possible, her wings resting on her back. Though she still towered over the small pony, she did her best not to smile and reveal her sharp fangs.
"I promise I'm not going to hurt you. I was just given a scroll saying I'm not a threat. I helped put away the dragon that had been attacking this city." She wasn't sure if he would believe her, but she didn't want to scare the poor thing. He looked so tiny and helpless, she didn't want him running off and getting hurt.

Lonely was normally how Golden Light was. At least back in Manhatten, he didn't really like how every pony was there. So he was glad to be moving here.
"L...Live d...down street a... a bit." Golden Light forced out, pointing his hoof past Sylvia to show her but he quickly put it down.
Pointing was considered rude to some folks, and to a dragon... well was it? Probably. A dragon had been attacking here? Did his parents not know that? It then hit him that the dragon introduced herself and he hadn't.
"I...I'm G...G...Golden L...Light." he introduced.

Sylvia noticed his nervousness and she gave a soft chuckle, "I'm glad you're not lost." the dragon bowed her head, her serpentine neck curling downwards, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Golden Light. You ponies have the oddest names." Her tail flicked back and forth on the ground, and she decided to stretch her wings, shading the young foal from the sun for a moment before she caped them back over her sides.
"So how long have you been living here? I just got here recently and things are still trying to get back in order. The military is trying to sort things out as refugees file in. Were you aware of the war that was going on?" She scratched her chin with a thick claw, "I was unaware of it. I unfortunately had been living in a cave most of my life."

"It...It makes s...sense due to this....a..and this." Golden Light said, pointing at his gold mane first than his light pelt.
It was just how his parents named him, after his mane an tail color, and with his the color of the rest of him. There were no doubt worst names out there. Besides he was fine with his name. It made since to him.
"We... jut mo...moved here y..yesterday. We were just...unpacking and everything then." Golden Light explained.
A nod left hi when it came to knowing about the war. He knew about it. He just didn't fully understand it.

Sylvia frowned, were all ponies going to be afraid of her? Were dragons feared this much in this world? The dragon nodded, "I see. Well, I hope you enjoy it here. If you see the Brick and Stone family led by Loose Brick, tell them I said hi. They had left their home a while ago during this so-called war and are now coming back. I think they must be getting settled in here." The dragon stood up, once more towering over the little foal. "Are you exploring? Perhaps we can check this place out together. There's got to be something interesting around here, huh? That is, unless you're afraid to travel with me. I'd understand. I do make an imposing figure."

It was just how Golden Light was, he wasn't exactly the most adventurous or energetic of fillies or ponies. No, he was a simple one. Just wanted peace and quiet to read. His ears raised a small bit as they twitched. Brick and Stone family? Nope, he hadn't heard of them but then again they probably never set hoof in Manhatten.
"Parents want me to...to get to know some ponies who live here...." Golden Light answered. "To try and make friends so...maybe it's exploring."
Was it really? Possible, it was possible that his parents sent him to explore as well as to try and make new friends. He was talking to a dragon and she seemed friendly enough, he was just struggling to talk to her due to her shear size.
"S...Sure." Golden Light replied. "You m..might know somewhere....in this place where...others are. Maybe we'll...run into somepony else who won't be...spooked? I'm...I'm not the bravest sort...I prefer m..my books an....and reading...almost all I did b...back in my previous..home."

Ace was quick to move forward, avoiding the illuminated display window showing off the various, and no doubt highly priced wares of a jewelry shop. He held no doubt that if his eyes found the articulate stands that bore the hoof crafted gems meant to bewitch the more well-to-do mares of the city, that he would be unable to fight the urge to pocket them. That was an act that would ultimately lead to him either be forced to flee, or, most likely, be chased down and clapped in irons.
He quickly made his way beyond the store front, taking note of the size and shape of the door, and that is was reinforced by Stygian-like iron bars along the inside, before breathing a sigh of relief. Fleeing, as usual, in the wake of the devastation of the ongoing war, had worn down on his psyche, forcing him to make his way into Fillydeplphia. Ace was desperate for bits, scrapping the bottom of his bag for what few precious coins he could scrounge up to pay for his necessity. He needed another performance, with lots of ponies to witness. If not, he would be in a rather tight pinch...
He shook his head with a sigh, rounding the corner. Fillydelphia was a large city, with plenty of opportunities. Perhaps he wouldn't have to resort to pilfering another artifac--
Ace gave a sudden loud 'UMPH', as he suddenly made contact with a large red mass. He shook his head, blinking as he rubbed his snout. As he looked up, he gave a quick start.
"D-d-d-d-dragon!" His voice quivered in an uncharacteristically high pitch, as he looked straight up at the draconian.
"I-I... Umm... H-hi?" He questioned the large creature.

Sylvia had a bit of a tough time understanding the little pony due to his stuttering. Inwardly she felt a bit let down. Were most ponies going to treat her this way? Look upon her with fear? What kind of things have her kind done to receive such treatment?
She was about to say something when she felt something run into her leg. She heard surprised squeak and her serpentine neck curved in order to get a good look at what had run into her. It was another pony, well, pegasus, similar to Fluttershy. Sylvia's golden eyes peered down at the surprised creature.
"Hello. Seems I'm bumping into all sorts of ponies here." A gentle chuckle escaped her fanged mouth and she backed away carefully so that both ponies would be able to see each other, "I was just speaking to Golden Light here. He's new in town apparently, as am I." Her tail flicked back and forth as she once again sat down on her haunches to try and appear less threatening. "My name's Sylvia."

Considering she was towering over him and capable of so much more....how could he not be scared? He was pretty much a child, a young one at that. He hadn't seen much of the world and since he kept to his books, it meant he didn't interact with others. The young pony lowered his head, it wasn't in fear, it was more of a apologetic thing. He wasn't meaning to make her unhappy or hurt her feelings, he was just a pretty easily scared pony. The squeak caused his ears to perk slightly as he took a few steps forward before Sylvia moved.
IT was a peagues? Most likely an adult or teenager, Golden Light raised a hoof and waved. The pendant with the stone in it was seeable enough as he stood there. Sylvia had already introduced him so he didn't really see why he should say his name, besides he found himself subconciously scooting to the side now, a bit closer to Sylvia. It was his instinct to just mind his own buisness and read; pretty much hiding behind books. With no book in his hooves, all he could do was just move slightly toward someone who was tall enough to hide him from sight. Hence Sylvia; course he stopped himself before he went behind her.
"H...Hi..." Golden Light replied as his ruby gaze stayed focused on the peaguses, it seemed whoever this was they weren't afraid at least not to the extent that he was.

Ace was astounded to say the least. Of all the things to run into, fate had decided to place a dragon on the top of that list.
"Er, hi... My name is Ace." He looked up at the dragon, Sylvia, once again. She didn't seem all too threatening by his estimate, and her much smaller counterpart, the young colt identified as Golden Light, surely wasn't either. If anything, the child almost seemed to be trying to melt against Sylvia, as if trying to become part of her.
"It's nice to meet you both." Ace gave a genuine smile to the both of them. He registered the pendant around the child's neck, giving a quick estimate as to it's value. Perhaps if he--
He gave his head a shake. He wasn't so desperate as to steal from a child... Not yet, at least.
"You must forgive my shock, you two make quite the odd pair." He looked at them both in turn.
"I'm new in town as well, having just found my way onto the streets a few hours ago."

Sylvia felt the small pony draw closer to her. She looked down with a raised eye ridge, and realized he must've been rather shy, even with the fellow pony nearby. The dragon's eyes watched the Pegasus carefully. She noted his slight interest in the pendant around the foal's neck, and was wondering why he shook his head. She wondered if she had to keep a close eye on him.
"It's quite okay. It's not every day that a dragon wanders into a pony village. I hear that we're not the easiest creatures to get along with. But I assure you I'm not like most dragons." She stretched her wings and a shadow fell over the small golden pony from the sheer size of them overhead. "I'm still getting used to speaking to Ponies myself. I've lived in a cave most of my life, so I never really got out often. I hear things have been really stressful due to the war that had been going on. At least things seemed to be settling down."

Merely trying to hide, course if he hid then he wouldn't be doing what his mother and father told him to do. Taking a seat on the ground, his ears twitched once more as the adult pony gave his name. Ace? Well that could mean anything but it was a good name, most likely suited the green Pegasuses. Probably a ace with flying. Though ruby eyes noticed the older pony look at the pendant round his neck but they quickly went and shook their head, what was that about? His head tilted slightly, resulting in his gold color mane to hang further down but he soon had his head assume it's normal position.
An odd pair? Well that was understandable, he was just a child next to a full grown dragon. The size difference was very very obvious. So it no doubt looked odd to see them standing by one another. Seeing a dragon in Manhatten surly didn't happen, dragons might not like how busy that city was? Oh well, Syliva might have a bit more certainty on that but he wasn't going to ask. After all, she did say she wasn't like most dragons.
"I...I g....got here yesterday." Golden Light spoke though he went silent as the large shadow of her wings went over him and he stayed that way till she was done talking. "M..My parents a..and I c..came here from M..Manehatten."
