A sudden hunger overcame Apple cider as she saw the plate of apple fritters next to Morrow. Had it been that long since she ate last, or were her eyes just being larger than her stomach? "Ye know what, Miss Starburst. I think I'll be trying one of them apple fritters. They look mighty tasty!" She waited eagerly for the food, realizing that Starburst was checking to see if Daisy Mae was able to cook and it may take a while.

Tailwind preened his feathers and fished out his wallet tucked into the down feathers close his body he opened the wallet on the counter and pulled out a small card "60 bits it is, do you take Canterlotian express?" he set the card down on the counter and sipped his juice. Sure it was a lot of money but this was his vacation and tailwind had saved plenty for this. When he heard mention of sandwhiches his belly rumbled. When he came in he was fine but all the smells of baked goods and other treats had made him hungry.

Daisy took the book from Starburst and trotted to the storeroom. There she propped the open book on a shelf and looked at the ingredients: Whole wheat long grain seeded bread, ripe bananas (make sure there's no green left), peanut butter smooth. Daisy nodded to herself and grabbed what she needed from the storeroom and walked to the kitchen. She set everything down on one of the cleanest counters she had ever seen and grabbed some clean dishes from beside the sink.
Step 1: Toast the bread.
Daisy checked that the loaf was pre-sliced and popped 6 slices into the kitchen's industrial toaster. While she was waiting she hummed a little tune to herself. About a minute later the bread popped up golden and hot.
Step 2: Cut bananas into slices and gently mash them so as to make them slightly spreadable but not too goopy.
Daisy frowned in concentration. Peeling and cutting the bananas was difficult and she was worried she was taking too long. She mashed them a couple times and, seeing that they still retained some semblance of their shape, moved on.
Step 3: Spread 2 dollops of peanut butter onto one slice of the toast and the banana on the other.
Step 4: Cut diagonally and serve.
Serving suggestion: Some ponies like a drizzle of honey on their bread.
Daisy decided to be daring for her first time using the book and took it's suggestion. She trotted back to the store room and grabbed a squeeze bottle of honey. Back in the kitchen, she passed it lightly over each sandwich a couple times and allowed a little to get on the plate. She thought that it looked kind of pretty.
Daisy scooped up the three finished plates and balanced them as she made her way back out to the front saloon area. Daisy set each of them down in front of Starburst and said, "Three peanut butter banana sandwiches, just like the book said." Daisy cocked her head a moment and then enthusiastically cried, "Oooorder Up!"

Starburst trotted behind the counter, swiped the card for the pony who was going to be renting a room, and retrieved a fritter from the display area, covering it in an icing glaze after moving it onto a plate.
She set the plate in front of Apple Cider and smiled, moving back over to the Pegasus at about the same time Daisy Mae came out of the kitchen with the sandwiches. She swerved at the last moment to grab the plates. One in her mouth and one on each wing, outstretched.
She set one of the plates on the Pegasus' table, along with his card, set one behind the display case for all of the sweets, and another was set on the counter. Which she divided into halves. After inspecting the sandwich for a moment, she nodded her approval and started eating the half-sandwich.
After she finished a bite she wiped her mouth with a napkin and smiles warmly. "Quite delicious, for a sandwich." After tasting it she distributed samples to everypony in the store at the time, cutting the other parts of the sandwich into quadrants.
"One for Miss cider.. One for Morrow.. And one for the chef, Miss Daisy Mae. Here we are. Enjoy~"

"They sure are, Ms Cider!", Morrow Dash chirped, looking up from the fritter at hoof with a content smile. "I can only recommend them, they are to die for - except that would be a bad thing, to die, then you couldn't enjoy those baked goods anymore."
As if to add a proof to her claim she returned to the fritter, continuing to eat the baked good carefully balance on one of her hooves. Her attention fully drawn to her meal, she just noticed by the way how Starburst took care of the guest and the singer.
That was until she heard her name being mentioned, "Oh? - Starburst, you are just too good, thank you kindly."
The delivery Pegasus placed what was left of the fritter back on the plate and instead of tried a bite of the quadrant of a sandwich she just got offered, "That's pretty good!", she stated then with a nod and a smile at Daisy.

Tailwind smiled and could see that his purchase was already proving to be worth it. he bit into the sandwich and savored the rich creamy taste. He couldnt speak but only grunt his approval "mmmm" he said as he chewed. When he finally swallowed he spoke "Ms Daisy that is one tasty sandwich, I look forward to sampling more of your cooking during my stay here." Tailwind then looked to the owner and spoke again "so Ms starburst, I take it I'll receive my room key soon and I can get settled in?" Tailwind didn't want to be rude but he did want to get a layout of the inn and get comfortable for a bit before he went out to practice.

Apple Cider loved the fritter that she ate and now it seemed that she was given a free sample. She never had a peanutbutter and banana sandwich before, but there was a first time for everything. The sandwich was surprisingly sweet and tasty, just the way she liked her foods. "I must say Miss Dosado that you sure many hats! A singer, a cook, is there anything you can't do?"

Daisy blushed as the ponies complimented her sandwich. She was pleased that it had turned out so well, but it was lucky that the cookbook was so detailed on the instructions. She was a little worried about cooking something more complicated, but time would tell if she could handle it.
"Thank you kindly, darlin'!" Daisy said smiling in return and began clearing the empty plates. "I think that ponies may have a special talent that they excel at, but that doesn't mean they can't do other things as well. I betcha sure as sugar is sweet a you have other talents than what's on the surface!" Daisy said addressing the room.

Starburst trotted behind the counter and snagged a key off a hook behind it, holding it in her teeth. She trotted back over to the table of Tailwind and dropped it on top of his Canterlotian Express card.
"Anything else I can get everyone?" Starburst says, moving back behind the counter. I'm about to change from the breakfast menu to the lunch menu.

Morrow Rose tapped a hoof, not occupied with food, at her chin, thoughtful, "You have a point there Ms Daisy. I got a little gardening skills from my mother. It is not my special talent, but it is something I guess."
The delivery Pegasus went back to finishing all the kinds of food and drinks she got offered so far, having not felt as content with a meal like this in a while. There sure is something about it that a meal made by anypony else tastes better than when you have to do it all by yourself.
"I'm perfectly, absolutely fine, Starburst, and am having a great time here." She chuckled before starting her next sentence, "You would just help me, telling me if you need more delivered while you have a guest here-"
She turned to Tailwind then, with a wide smile, "You sure wouldn't mind milk with your breakfast cereals or the local morning news?"

Apple Cider couldn't eat or drink anymore. She earlier had a big breakfast, and now with the ciders, fritters, and peanut butter and banana sandwich, she was stuffed. She felt like she was going to explode when Star Burst asked if anypony wanted food. "No thanks, Miss Star Burst. If I eat any more of yer delicious food, I might have to find some pony with a wagon to haul me home. But thanks fer the offer."

Tailwind smiled as he tucked his card back into his wallet, and smiled at the little Pegasus. "Well thank you friend, I would love a morning bottle of milk and the paper, just a way to start the day before practice anyway." Tailwind was sure he would enjoy his vacation here. It would also be great for his training. The thick air would work his wings harder and the dust would give him a better understanding of the air currents

Daisy sidled up to the counter opposite Morrow. "Ooo gardening is so great. I've got a black hoof when it comes to that. Nothing I touch grows." Daisy laughed. "When I was a filly my family lived on a farmstead just outside of town here and I wasn't even allowed to go near the fields!"
Noticing Morrow's drink was just about empty, Daisy took the initiative to refill it. *That's what a waitress pony is supposed to do, right?* Daisy thought.
"So, Miss Morrow, I know I mentioned getting a wake up call from you earlier, but I wasn't kiddin'. I'm a fright in the morning and have a mighty hard time getting up. If you want to fly my way at the end of your morning route, I'd love if you could roll me out of bed!"

Starburst let the other ponies chat and went back into the back to gather all the necessary ingredients for the lunch menu. The Peanut butter and banana sandwiches have been made, so now to bring on the main courses.
Starburst comes out about an hour later, bringing a cart containing Salads, soups, cheese, and sandwiches of many different varieties. The cart smelled strongly of lettuce, cheese, freshly baked bread and potatoes. Many of the dishes were arranged on the plate artistically.
After grabbing each of the plates and putting them in the display case, she retrieved a bowl of soup from the cart and began sipping it.

Earlier this day Morrow Rose was quite sure she'd just do her delivery route and then have a first nap before attending her shop. If somepony would have told her that she'd skip nap time for meeting new ponies, she would have giggled amused, but now she found herself smiling about what then did happen.
With a smile on her muzzle and an amused chuckle she turned to Apple Cider first, "And you could get belly aches, Ms Cider, but if you decide otherwise, I do have a wagon outside the saloon, you know."
He attention got drawn to Tailwind then, as Starbuck's new guest responded to her. Right then she noticed that none of the newer ponies around have yet mentioned her size yet and it would even stay that way. What was I thinking, most ponies just want to get along well, bullying is more the exception to the rule.
"One bottle of milk and the Appleloosa Morning News it is then, friend. If you ever need anything else, I guess you can find me here, or at my shop at Saddle Lane 21 1/2", she pointed with her hoof in the vague direction her home and shop were located at, "It's down Appleloosa Ave and the third way on the right."
That was when she noticed that the great singer, who she knew as great baker as well now, had placed herself opposite to her. The Pegasus smiled carefully, a bit shy at the implied compliment, "Oh, I wouldn't say I am a gardening expert, like my mother; Rose Garden - your Number One for Decorating and Edible Flowers in Manehatten", she recited the advertising jingle with a somewhat singing voice, to continue then, "It's just something I really enjoy doing and I have a little garden right behind my house... even though the dry air here makes it quite a lot of work."
She was wondering if she was meant to tell more about herself, as Daisy refilled her drink, "Thanks", and then came back to her earlier request about being woken up in the morning.
It really would be nice to have somepony to chat with at the end of my morning route, that is other than a morning said sleepy, here and there.
"Oh, don't you worry, I wasn't taking you for kidding me and - sure, I'd like to do that. I'll just have it that I'll get to your place - where is that at again? - at the end of my route and wake you up!
Anything you'd like to bring my along, milk, eggs, the news or I could grab some fritters from here on the way? And, please", she added, "If we're gonna see each other every morning, I think you can call me Morrow, just Morrow."
((Thanks to Willo for helping me with the street names.))
