Ixwa had been walking for three days straight on this latest journey, but every step only brought her more energy, and made her felt more and more ready to keep on going. She had learned so much, she had gone so far, but she was just beginning. And the more she walked, the more she realized who the real enemy was.
And it was everyone. The ponies, the griffons, the dogs... all of them wanted their grimy manipulators in Zebra lands, all of them were just after the resources, the power, the land... None of them cared about the zebras. But Ixwa did. She wanted power, strength, prestige, and then she would just rededicate that power right back to them. Zebras needed to be reminded who they were, and they needed to work towards their own independence and freedom.
She couldn't stop buzzing with these thoughts as she made her way down the path. It was one of the more well-traveled paths, and she had seen a few individuals. But for the most part, her distinctive figure kept everyone from being interested in conversation with the warrior.

Another long day walking through the Savannah, the suns heat radiating off the gravely path and right back under Cinikis body. The air was still and hot with only the sound of her hooves and her cart wheels crunching the rocks beneath them. She had just finished her last sale within the Maresi tribe selling and trading her goods. With a wagon full of desirable minerals she made her way to the next tribe. It hadn't been long since her last travel partner had abandoned her, and she was still seething about that. If she ever came across his sorry hide, there would be Hay to pay.
Why does she still have faith in others? Most often they only have their own intentions in mind, not the welfare of the others. Not to mention all the ponies that arrived in Zebra lands. The only ones she's seen only want to exploit their way of life and their lands. It just wasn't right. Shaking these hostile thoughts from her head she continued down the path trying to think only of her next pick up.
Ciniki stopped for a moment to take a swig from her canteen and as she drew the bottle to her muzzle, the sound of hoof steps continued. Another pony or zebra was near by, and after recent encounters and the valuables in her cart, she didn't want to take any chances. She replaced her bottle in her cart and unhooked the strap from around her waist after quietly backing it off the side of the road. With really no vegetation around she stood behind her cart, drew her bow and nocked her arrow ready to draw if necessary. Quietly she waited as the hoof steps grew nearer.

If there was anything that interested Ixwa, it was paranoia. Something about the utter fear that people felt was just fascinating. It mean they had something to hide, and that meant that they had something valuable: or at least, that they thought they had something valuable. For a zebra who wanted it all, it meant that she most often found it by looking for the people who were paranoid about losing it. She slowed her pace as she went, hooves clicking firmly against the path as she made her way forward. It was a psychological mind-game, making her approach slow, deliberate, inevitable. To any fearful mind, that meant that it seemed impossible to stop, and by extension, Ixwa was impossible to stop.
She continued on as though she was simply content to ignore whatever pony was obviously contained within the shrubbery, but at the peak of her passing, she stopped. Her head slowly, carefully turned, and with a devious leer she stared at the zebra who was contained within. And stopped with a start, her expression more confused than anything as she saw what actually lay within.
The sheer calm determination of the expression... the beautifully set bow and careful bow-placement, and the subtle killer instinct... This zebra was beautiful. Ixwa started to speak, but between the conflicting emotions and this sudden scrambling sensation swooshing through her skull as she saw the sumptuous sight of a stellar striker, well, she was having a bit of trouble focusing. So she mostly ended up staring at the zebra, waiting for her to do something with an incredibly perplexed look on her face.

"Who goes there" demanded the poised Ciniki. Her expression still remaining set, and her eye on her target. "What do you want" she inquired again. By the way the other just stood there she was either paralyzed with fear, shock, or very curious. Why on earth would they be so curious when they were faced by danger? It must've been fear, it had to be what zebra in their right mind would stand still with an arrow pointed right at them unless instilled with fear!
Ciniki made her way around the cart so that she could see the others face easier, and to her surprise it wasn't a look of fear upon her mug, it was one of astonishment and intrigue! This zebra must be sick in the head. "What are you staring at, and why do you not fear my arrow?" She asked unsure of this new face. Moving closer after no replay, Ciniki quivered her arrow, returned her bow to it's place on her back and drew her knife instead.
She walked up to the other zebra and waved her hoof in front of her face. "Is anybody home?" she inquired while waving her hoof in front of her face.

Ixwa finally snapped out of it and took a stand back, her posture quickly shifting to just exude confidence, flowing out of her like a river. "I am Ixwa!" She trumpeted. "A skilled warrior and traveller, in search of strength and status!" She said, holding her head up high. She cast her eyes downward to get a better glimpse on the situation, and her eyes briefly caught the knife. "I would request that you put that away," she noted. "I promise, I mean you no harm." And, oddly enough for a rather bloodthirsty sort, she meant that. She didn't even so much as feel the desire to engage in mortal combat with the mare, so much as to snuggle her beside the campfire. But regardless, she would try to withhold that, for now, and establish peaceful relations.

Ciniki looked her up and down glaring slightly before storing her knife away. Looking over the other Zebra she squinted and looked all around. "Well if you're looking for status and strength, you wont very well find it out here in the Savannah in any time length." She replied. Walking around her she noted at her lack of equipment. "I see you lack several essentials, such as water and things to protect from the elemental."
Stopping infront of the other zebra she looked her in the eye again. "So tell me how you intend on finding power, when the only other soul is myself and a flower." she inquired. Not to many others to have power over lived in the convey roads or open desert. So what would bring her on this lonley path.?

Ixwa grinned and twisted her hoof and pulling her leg back in tandem so that a shining blade slid out in front of her hoof. After flipping it around a couple of times so that the other zebra could get a glimpse of it, she pushed the tip against the ground and slid the blade back into its spring-released holster. "I train and fight," she said. "These convoy roads are full of individuals with the strength to make it on their own, and I need to become the strongest of them all. When I have enough prowess, I will go to each of the tribes and defeat their leader in single combat. All zebras respect many different things, but I've yet to meet one who doesn't respect the business end of a blade. I have a goal in mind, but first I will have every zebra working as one."

Ciniki was appalled at the mares goals at first. She would go through all the zebra lands and disrupt everything just so she could be in control!! How could she disrupt so many lives to bend to her whim. Watching the zebra bounce the blade was nice a first, but ciniki only realized she was probably more show then action. By that logic she wouldn't be able to defeat the tribe leaders. " I would pay to see you take on the leader of the Shoelu tribe, or the colored ponies. How exactly do you plan to take on the fortified neighbory!!" Ciniki began to snicker thinking about this zebra taking on all of the zebra territory.
Ciniki walked to her cart and took out a bag full of nice lillies fresh from the pony lands she acquired in a trade in a previous tribe. She snacked on it and snickered to herself. " Tell you what little one, I'll come along purely for my own pleasure watching you try to take on these zebras." She replaced the bag in her cart reaching in and grabbing a canteen. Looking at it and grinning before tossing it at the other zebra. "Here, you're gunna need it."

Ixwa caught it with ease. "Never say no to another canteen," Ixwa said, reciting an old proverb from her tribe's lore. She deftly tossed it into the air, catching it in her pack. "Of course, its all a bit of a slow process. But trust me when I say that I am not foolhardy, and I am not about to go charging in with no forethought. No, that's why I am travelling, waiting until the moment is right, gaining soldiers, training... And of course, refining my alchemy. What say you? Why are you travelling on these dusty roads? Surely a mare as beautiful as yourself has a fine manor to live in."

Ciniki rolled her eyes assuming the other mare only had sarcasm in her voice when referring to her beauty and the manor. "no, I travel to make a living. I am a trader and hunter, more often I find game at the end of my bow, not other zebra." That statement was becoming increasingly false with current events. She almost been pointing that bow at as many zebras as she had dangerous beasts. Cant say the same for small game however.
Ciniki walked back over to her cart and hooked up to it. "So great leader" she chided mockingly "which direction are we travelling?"
