Apporta saw that Puck was agreeable to the idea Bygone had about visiting his dorm room, and it appeared that both Puck and Bygone were anxious to go. "I'm glad you liked the library and I think you'll enjoy seeing how ponies live while at the university. And Bygone does have some interesting things he has collected over the years. Lead the way Bygone to your dorm."
As the three left, Apporta stopped for a few short seconds and looked back at the library, as if she was saying "so long" to a friend. she knew now that she was in the Equestria Army she would not be visiting the place as much as she did, but she would visit it again one day.

Somewhere between the interim between going to the library and approaching Bygone's room, Puck had set himself to note taking again. His parchment was under hoof this quill between his teeth. As he scribbled, he murmured. "The humble corridors led to a dark and mysterious chamber..." How Puck seemed to do anything while simultaneously setting up a dramatic scene with his pen was something startling to see. It's as though, he was more comfortable with the quill.

Bygone felt a little nervous about having guests, if only for a few minutes, but nonetheless he pulled out the key and unlocked the door. The room inside was neat, but not obsessively so. There was a pile of reference books lying open on his desk in the far corner, while around the room were arranged what odds and ends he'd accumulated during his tenure at the University.
Near the entrance on the right, lying on its side, was a set of replica barding that he'd had to do as a project, as well as the accompanying home-made saber (blunted). On a separate stand near his desk was a sundial that he'd constructed for fun, and that he now used to tell time while in his room (he had a special lamp for when the sun wasn't out). Apart from that, it was a plain room, with your standard courtesies; a small gathering area, separated sleeping quarters, and a small (SMALL) kitchen.
Bygone stepped back to allow the others in first.
"What do you guys think?"

"This place sure brings back memories. I remember living in a dorm like this in the university." They were happy memories of studying, meeting friends, and enjoying the overall experience. She actually lived in a simpler dorm housing with just a bedroom layout and no gathering area or kitchen. She also had to share her room with another pony, but thankfully the two got along.
"I definitely remember this place when you and I went on our adventure through Canterlot, Bygone. That was fun helping you out and seeing the area. It's funny how it seems that I am on another adventure through Canterlot with you Puck to see the city."
Apporta went over to look at the sundial that was sitting on the desk. She aleays loved things that related to the sun, moon, or stars. "This sundial is great, Bygone. When did you make this Bygone? I didn't see it in your room before."

"It beith a fine quarters. Such a big space." Puck said as he did a turn to take in the whole space at once. It wasn't actually big. It was a dormitory, but Puck was a small pony in a small cottage, so clearly it seemed bigto him. Without warning, Puck climbed on Retort's bed, standing on it. "I be the tallest pony in the room!" He exclaimed in jest, then gave a single bounce on the mattress.

"Actually, I made the sundial just a few days after we went to find my box. It kind of reminds me about that every time I check the time..." said Bygone, out of habit inspecting the sundial for the time.
He winced as Puck bounced on his bed, but didn't have the heart to kick the little guy off. He trotted over to the barding with a slight grin.
"Hey, Puck, you want to try on the armor?"

Puck stopped and climbed off of the bed. Slowly, he trotted over to where Bygone had the armor. He said what he instinctively said. "I'd love to, but I'm afraid I might be..." He paused, then took a good look at the armor. "Ah, but thy armor be quite diminutive as well, mayhaps in some distant past, all ponies were of my stature." Puck had a warm expression on his face at that thought: in kighthood days all ponies being little ones. "I shall giveth it the college try!" He said stoutly, and stood out like a mannequin, waiting for Bygone's help in putting on the armor.

Apporta couldn't help but giggle when he saw Puck bouncing on the bed. It seemed like the small things like a good book or seeing a dormitory excited the unicorn. Maybe he didn't get out much, or maybe just everything was wonderful with him. Whatever the case, she was glad he was having a good time.
She heard Bygone explain about the sundial and how it related to the time she help find his box. "Wow, that's neat hearing that you still think about that time when you look at the sundial. Actually, I think I still have the paper you were putting out through Canterlot asking for help finding your box. I guess it reminds me to always help out when I can."
Bygone then noted the armor that he had. It was old looking and small. It did really look like it would fit her or Bygone at all. Maybe, as Puck said, ponies were smaller years ago. "This is really interesting armor you have, Bygone. Where did you get it?"
Before she could get an answer, Puck immediately volunteered to try it on, excited as ever to do so. Then again, it was no surprise as Puck was such a big fan of tales of old, which included knights and chivalry. "That's the spirit Puck! I'm sure you'll look great in that armor."

Bygone resisted the urge to go into an explanation of the history of Equine size and anatomy, instead filling the vacuum with his acquisition of the armor.
"Actually, it was a Nightmare Night costume that I made for a friend of mine's younger sibling. After I'd already half-finished it, they decided that they wanted to be something else, so I figured I'd just keep it and finish it for myself. I don't really have much use for it, though..."
The brown stallion started taking the different pieces of barding and putting them on the smaller pony, inwardly sighing for lack of magic; that would have made things so much easier. Instead, he had to buckle and fix all of it by hoof.
After a few awkward minutes of arranging the suit on Puck, Bygone stepped back and looked him up and down.
"Apporta was right, it fits you pretty well; you're a dashing knight now, eh?"
