The training hall wasn't prepared for this one. Crystal lance, head of the Equestrian Unicorn division, was required to run the course. The hall had been cleared out of most of the general trainees and trainers, all but one, who would oversee the unicorns progress. He stood there by the door in his trainers jacket and ballcap, whistle hanging from his neck as he waited for Crystal Lance to show. This wouldn't be a long session, the guys up top just wanted to be sure she was staying physically fit.

Why overexert myself when I could simply cast a spell? Crystal Lance always thought. Even in her days of foalhood, she had never really been much of an athletic filly at all. Horn over hoof was the mare’s lifelong motto. It was for that very reason that she could not have felt more out of place stepping into the Training Hall of HQ her first time.
Crystal had already been well acquainted with the Magic Training Hall up in her own division of HQ, but this room was totally unfamiliar to her. Surveying the large interior around her, the mare could see a variety of training and exercise equipment, though there was only one other pony inside the room. Thankfully, Crystal had been lucky enough to get the room reserved for her and her overseer the entirety of the day.
“I trust you aren’t ordered to keep me here too long, stallion? Honestly, I was never very excited to be sent here,” Crystal asked to the overseer stallion by the door as she trotted by.

The stallion slowly shook his head as he moved away from the wall past Crystal, "Course not maa'm, just standard procedure. Ponies up top want to make sure everypony is in good physical health." The stallion took his hat off and laid it on a nearby table. "Right, this won't take to long. Just 5 laps around the room, then some weightlifting to see how much you can lift without your magic, then ending with a few laps across the pool. You can swim, right ma'am?"

“No… I’m afraid I don’t swim,” Crystal responded in a displeased tone. The higher-ups expecting her to lift things was one thing, but expecting her to swim through rivers was another. She could not help but let out a short groan, though immediately released her complaining would simply get her nowhere. Crystal quickly trotted up towards the starting line of the training facility’s course, preparing to take on her first challenge of the day.
Galloping five laps couldn’t have been too hard for her, she thought. After all, teleportation magic was not the mare’s specialty. While Crystal used magic for a lot of things in her life, she typically moved from place to place using her own four hooves.
The mare immediately began her first lap. Swiftly transitioning from a light and easy trot to a smooth and well-controlled canter, Crystal Lance paced herself along the perimeter of the course as such. The mare was fully aware of her physical limitations, knowing more than enough not to needlessly tire herself out sprinting at an unnecessarily intense gallop. It took her a while, but she eventually completed her fourth lap. Crystal could by then feel the nasty sweat around about every inch of her body, but she continued to press on. Entering her fifth and final lap, the mare sped up to a full gallop as she began in nearing the completion of her task.
