Velocity poked around Canterlot, looking for good places to hang up signs. He didn't want to plaster them about like a desperate filly looking for a job, but didn't want them to be so sparse nopony would notice them. He had already put a few in the school, knowing at least three of his current students wanted the extra 'non-approved' training as it was called. Velocity was well known in Canterlot for teaching most students the basic defensive spells, teleportation, shield spells, levitation on living creatures and objects, but what was not so well known, was he was an expert on combat magic. Fire, lightning, ice, illusions, even a few magics thought to be out of his own grasp. This was his gift, and he had plans to share it. He magically sealed a poster to a cafe as he past by, gaining a confused stare from Joe, the pony who ran the place. The poster clearly read: Calling all ponies! Begineer and Advanced training in self-defense combat, both magical and hoof to hoof for Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth ponies Contact Velocity at Canterlots School for Gifted Unicorns for more information He continued on his path, placing posters around Canterlot for the rest of the evening, hoping he would get a decent batch of students.

Apporta was walking through Canterlot when she spotted a poster about some pony teaching self-defense classes. She always wanted to try self defense, not to fight a war, but to defend herself if the need arises. And learning a few spells in the process couldn't hurt. Now she had to find out where the pony named Velocity was...

Cloudfall yawned lightly and shifted his weight, rolling onto his back and stretching out his legs. He opened his eyes and stared out at the upside-down city before him. With a soft groan he rolled back onto his stomach and stretched once again. Just then an small explosion from a few feet below him startled him fully awake as he leaped into the air and went into a free-fall-glide from the rooftop he had been napping on.
"Moon banished Unicorns... Why do they have to be loud with their spells...?" the dark Pegasus asked himself aloud as he glided down to the city street, landing not from a doughnut place he found on his second day in town. Although today there was a flier plastered by the entrance. Cloudfall paused briefly to read it before continuing on into shop.
"Hey Pony Joe, do you know where the School for Gifted Unicorns is?"

Searing Frost what are you doing? the teacher called out to to the light blue unicorn. Oh buck that tone meant somepony was mad at him again. ``A dress saddle for a pegasus, miss Stern´´: Searing said meekly better just get this over with so he could finish the design in peace.
-------------------------------2 Hours later------------------------------
Aagh! extra classes how could Miss Stern do this to him where would he find classes where he wouldnt be bored to death by lectures on advanced spellformulas for levitation spells.
Well the talk was somepony from the guard would be holding after school lessons for self-defense skills the subject at least sounded better than the other options plus who knows if the teacher really was from the guard maybe he would show up in uniform. Lost in thoughts Searing headed for the office of Velocity maybe there would still be space for one more unicorn in his class.

Velocity sat in his office, patiently waiting to see if anypony came. He had already sent his normal students off, after learning that they weren't interested in his 'unorthodox' teachings, but would pretend it never happened because they liked him as a teacher. He let out an almost grim sigh as he glanced out the window of the office, contemplating on a training ground. He knew from the start the school wouldn't allow him to use the training hall, and it couldn't be anywhere out in the open. He had a sizable basement, but most of the spells he wanted to teach would probably wreck the place, and the neighborhood it was in wasn't the best for being loud. He had a spell that would probably work, but he had never used it with more then one pony. It was a spell that would make the area around him seem empty, and would let other ponies pass through, but nothing inside the bubble could be seen or heard from the outside. It would probably work best in an open field, and he could teleport over long distances. Perhaps he could pull it off, but it wouldn't matter if nopony showed up.

Apporta finally made it to Velocity's office. She had an uneasy feeling about this practice like it was somewhat secret. What could be the reason for being secret? She didn't know much about this Velocity other than she had a theory class. The teacher did seem a bit unorthodox, preferring not to focus much on any textbook but with practicing. Apporta approached the door to his office and gave a soft knock.

It didn't take too long to find the school, the building was big enough and Joe had good directions, but that was the easy part. Now all Cloudfall had to do was find this Velocity in the building and, Luna's Mane, was it awkward. He asked for direction at the front desk and it seemed simple enough, but he was not prepared.
Unicorns everywhere, young and old. Many of the younger kids gave him odd looks, like they never saw Pegasus up close before, which was probably true. After only the first few minutes, Cloud had flipped up the hood on his cloak to try and hide from the stares, even if most of them were of innocent curiosity. He just wasn't used to the attention. "Maybe this was a bad idea..." he muttered to himself, but it was too late to turn back down. He was already at the correct hall and he just had to go a few more doors down, and-- "Apporta?"
It was, the mare he had met out by the street. 'What are the odds...' he thought to himself 'Of seeing a unicorn student in a unicorn school? Pretty good, actually.' he thought back, mockingly at himself. He silenced the voice in and head and approached Apporta by the door.

Searing ran down the halls certain that he was late he should have not stopped at the cafeteria to fuel up on that daisy sandwich, and he shouldnt have gone up the wrong tower not to mention he should have stopped to talk at least twelve times to somepony he knew and now he was late.
Hey there were someponies outside the door maybe they too were late whew that would probably mean the teacher wouldnt be so mad at him for being late: ``Hey seen Teach yet? I sure hope hes late too.´´
``Oh sorry I was so busy being late a almost end up being rude Im Searing Frost´´:Searing babbled before noticing that he may have interrupted something important.

Nimble walked around the streets of Canterlot, amazed that such a city actually existed. Being from a small town like Hoofington, he was a bit overwhelmed with the sight and sound of so many ponies in one place. As he walked by what seemed to be a donut store, he noticed a sign in the window. Hmm... self-defense training, that could be helpful. He asked some of the ponies who were walking by, hoping to find somepony who knew where this school was.

Velocity cracked his neck and magically swung the door open, revealing the office to the three ponies gathered outside. "Come in, come in, quickly at that if you would." He stepped around from his desk and stood in the center of the room, patiently waiting for the trio to enter.

Cloudfall jumped a little at the door suddenly opening with no pony behind it. At the voice beckoning them inside, he composed himself, quietly reminding himself that it was a Unicorn school, and this was partly a magical class, so he should expect, well, magic.
Making sure his hood was still up, he just felt more comfortable that way, he quietly, but quickly trotted into the room and made his way over to one side before sitting down, facing the awaiting Unicorn. He took a moment to glance around the room, it seemed to be an office, while the others entered behind him. There was no way they were going to do exercises in here, it was too small. But then again, Unicorns. The teacher obviously knew something he didn't.

Nimble hurried down the hallway, hoping he wasn't too late. As he rounds a corner, he sees an open door. "H-hey, is this where I go for that self-defense class?"

``Hey-a Teach is this the Self defense class?, If it is do we got to wear cool armor ?´´ Searing trotted in to the office scanning the room with his eyes. ``Hey Teach not to be rude but isnt this kind of a small room for four ponies?´´

(OOC: Due to Apporta now being in the Equestria Military with Crystal Lance, she can't be here, so I'm going to wrap up her being here and drop out. Sorry for the inconvienance.)
Apporta, although excited about practicing with Velocity and other ponies with self defense, was now going to be part of the Equestria Military, studying under Crystal Lance. She felt that she needed to tell the professor. "Um...Professor Velocity, I only have a short time to talk to you, but I wanted to say that I have signed up with the Equestria Military. I'm going to be training there for a few years. I just wanted to sat thank you for teaching me and I'm sure your lessons will help me with my training." With that Apporta waved goodbye and prepared to leave for the military. Goodbyes were always a hard thing for Apporta.
