Back to this place Man it feels good to feel this way.
The sun beamed through the sky, warming everything it touched including one feathery white creature who was flying through its rays. It was just one of those perfect days for him and his mood couldn't haven't been higher, Well maybe it could have been but this was the best he had felt in months.
Rustie hummed to himself as he flew a speedy yet somehow leisurely pace to his flight patterns. The few tricks the where preformed where more in the line of spurts of energy than actual performances even if they did have some kind of art laced into their movements.
It didn't take long for the feathered frame's pace to increase a grin quickly forming on his face. He was having fun flying again and it seemed he was planning on stepping his fun up slightly. As he gained more and more speed under his wings his talons stretched them selves out a feeling of freedom overtaking his body once again. With a quick flick of his entire body he began to dive through the clouds, dispelling them with great speed, a cry escaping him his grin growing even stronger with each cloud.
"Best day Ever!" He cried, tucking his wins in to gain speed before fanning them out once more, curving his flight into a straight line once more, his body spinning itself in a circular pattern in the sky after its decent.
He had quickly forgotten where he was, to engrossed in enjoying himself again for a while, the Gryphon instinct for flying fuelling him forwards, a great deal of speed still pushing his along. He would have to be careful if anypony saw him, he knew gryphons weren't the post popular creature to ponies and if one of them saw him he might be in a fair it of trouble for being here.
I know its sad but I never a Dang about the weather and it never gave a Dang about me.

The golden-yellow pegasus with the cherry-red mane flew lazily along towards Manehattan. She planned on stopping there for a few days, hopefully to build up a good reserve of bits. Currently, she was running dangerously low, despite the few generous contributions she'd gotten recently.
Nothing was ever able to bother her much, though, when she was in one of her lazy moods. She could fly around or sit or walk or think for hours, just enjoying being there. Although, it was best when she could be lazy with other ponies. Not as lonely that way.
Mute paused to rest on a cloud, looking around at all of the openness that the sky afforded. She sighed as well as she could, feeling a bit lonely amidst the vast, empty-
Was that a pony over there? The mime squinted to try and make out the form of the flying creature. No, it couldn't be a pegasus... it was too large for that. Then it dawned on her.
A griffin? Here? Hm, that's odd. But, hey, if you're lonely, you gotta make do with what you've got.[/i]
With that in mind, Mute began to fly leisurely over towards the stranger.

At first the blitzing white blur didn't notice the figure that was now watching him, He was far to engrossed with feeling the wind through his feathers. Occasionally he caught the clouds with his sharp talons, enjoying the feeling of dispersing them, even so much as ripping chunks off of them as he flew. However when he finally decided it was time to rest he noticed a small yellow pony drifting towards him.
Shrugging at the scene the Gryphon landed on a particularly large cloud, flopping down onto its embrace. Slowly he fanned out his wings to let the sun get to them before using his tail like a small motor, propelling him slowly towards the lone Pegasi. Not enthusiastic at being spotted, let alone by a pony.
He wasn't expecting a warm welcome, Pony's weren't often too keen on having Gryphons in their lands, let alone so far in. Oh well, if they wanted a fight they'd get one, If not? Then he was more than happy to chat.
Nodding as he grew close to the other airborne creature, he tried to seem friendly, smiling and extending one of his fore talons towards the red maned mare.
"Sup Pony"

Mute continued to fly slowly towards the white griffon, who settled onto one of the larger clouds. He relaxed casually, spreading out his wings and using his tail to propel the cloud towards her. As she got closer, the yellow mare saw that he didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about seeing somepony, although he smiled friendly enough.
He offered a talon, she assumed for shaking, so the pegasus took it in her hoof and did so. She tried to read what he said, but his beak made it quite a bit more challenging. Mute was pretty sure he'd said something like "Upony", but not wanting to take any chances, she whisked out her notepad and wrote down:
"Hi, sorry if I disturbed you or anything. I'm Mute, nice to meet you!"

The Gryphon couldn't help but feel surprised at how the pony replied, It was strange to say the least. Pausing for a few moments even Rustie could understand that there must have been a reason for this, so this time he decided to speak more clearly. Hopefully the Filly would be able to understand him.
"Uhh, no its fine. Nice to meet you Mute" He smiled retracting his talon back onto its fluffy rest. Remembering how much she had seemed to study him when he last spoke he had an Idea, Instead using his talons to write a message in the cloud.
"Im Rustie, Nice to meet you to" He wrote, rather slowly to as he was writing it all upside down...not his best idea. Hopefully this would help her, he still had next to no idea why they where writing but there had to be a reason.
"What are you doing all the way out here?" He continued quickly running out of space on his cloud.

When Rustie, as he introduced himself, spoke again, Mute could see him speaking in a much slower, more deliberate fashion than before. Ponies- well, Griffins too, she guessed- usually only spoke so clearly when they were really mad or trying to be helpful. When he smiled, she assumed helpful, and grinned a bit wider in return. She read what he'd written on the cloud, and for upside-down scrawling it wasn't half bad. She wondered if he'd had any dealings with deaf/mute ponies or griffins before, since he seemed to adjust rather quickly to her written response. On her pad she wrote down her reply as quickly as she could. "I'm not really doing much of anything, just making my way to another city. Manehattan, specifically. I move around a lot.
Oh, and thanks for writing your replies. I'm deaf; usually I'm pretty good about reading lips, but I've never had to read a Griffin before. "Mute handed him the paper, then whisked off to gather up a cloud for herself to rest on. She placed it next to Rustie's puffy pearch and plopped down on it.
