Gender: Male
Age: late teens
Species: Unicorn
Pelt Color: Black
Mane/Tail Color: Silver w/ black tips
Eye Color: black
Cutie Mark: A red, serpentine dragon dragon wrapped around an eight-point star
Residence: Canterlot

Talent/ skills: Martial Arts, strategy
Likes: Training (especially at night), gazing at the moon, his rare glimpses at freedom, fighting,
Dislikes: being forced into situations by others, crowds, using magic
Character Personality: An introvert, who turns all his thoughts and feelings inside only speaking when it is necessary and even then tends to hold back relying on persona to mask his natural uneasiness. He is very nervous around other ponies, but is able to hold his composure as long as they refrain from touching him and there aren't too many surprises. Magic was never a concept he could quite grasp, he could understand how to cast a spell, how to summon the mana around him, but the problem was control. Even as a foal, the simplest spells went horribly awry (levitated objects becoming projectiles, light spells blinding everyone in the room, transmutations exploding, etc.) this dislike for casting causes him to relate more to earth ponies than to other unicorns, prefering to do things with his own hooves.
Bio: As the son of a noble, nothing was too much for Quickhoof, the best tailors, the best cooks, the best teachers and how he hated it. The sheltered life of a noble was too far from what he wanted in life, freedom. Everything was chosen for him, his classes, his friends, his 'mates,' his entire life was planned for him. As a child he would often sneak out of the watchful eyes of the housemares and run about with the commoners' children. He of course loved playing with them and it was during one of these excursions that he discovered his odd talent, fighting. Eventually his parents took notice of this need of his and decided to add martial training to his list of classes "Every noble should know how to defend themselves should the need arise" his father said, "Yes should the NEED arise," his mother stressed. It appeared that they truly wanted to help him grow, but as it turns out they merely wanted to "take the fight out of a young colt," as Quickhoof's father so put it at a time he believed his son not listening. These classes turned out to be quite dissatisfying for the colt and only further frustrated him. To Quickhoof, it seemed like the teachers didn't understand the essence of martial arts so he spent all of his free time teaching himself, using the classes a way to test what he'd developed. He dreams of one day opening his own school, but knows that this is just wishful thinking.
