Bygone Era took one last glance at the fliers that he was about to distribute, making sure they was perfect. Satisfied, he slipped them in the mailbox, so they could be posted across Equestria.
Attention Explorers!
My name is Bygone Era, and I am a student of history and lore at Canterlot University. I have recently come across mentions of long-gone civilizations in the deserts around Appleloosa; therefore, I am organizing an expedition to look for the ruins of this culture.
Any explorer or adventurer is welcome to come, but let it be known that I have no way to adequately reimburse you for your services; since I am only interested in the historical value of this quest, any objects of value that we happen to find will be distributed amongst the members of the group and will serve as payment.
As this part of the world is extremely dangerous, those interested should begin training for hazardous environments and deadly monsters. If you would like to come, send me a letter and I will organize the adventure; currently, there is no date set for this, just that it will be at some point in the future.
-Bygone Era
((OoC: Please post here like you were writing an actual letter reply if you are interested.))

Early in the morning Salmana wakes up, She gets up and looks around her room and everything is in order, map of canterlot on the wall, picture of her mother and father, and her fathers old katana in a display case.
She walks down stairs to her kitchen and has a apple before she goes outside to check her mail, she notices a piece of paper inside of her mailbox and she starts to read it, her eyes light up with joy.this could mean a lot of gems and artifacts, and magical artifacts, but there are the dangerous things in the desert. as salmana thinks to herself as how she is going to do this, so she thought of researching healing magic, but she still had no way of fighting, then a thought pierced her mind.
She ran upstairs and removes the case of her fathers katana, Sorry father but i must. she picks up the katana with her telekinesis and starts practicing.
After 2 hours she wrote a note to bygone Dear Bygone Era hello my name is Salaen Mana, but i am know as salmana, i wish to join your adventure in the desert, and i can prove as a asset to this adventure, though i am not trained in combat i am trained in protecting and healing magic, so if you are ready to go to the ruins that you spoke of please letter me and anyother pony going on this trip, Signed Salmana

Dear Salmana,
It would be my pleasure to have you join the adventure! Healing and protective magic would be quite useful, even if you don't have much to offer in the way of combat.
At the moment, I still do not know when the quest will be, so in the meantime I recommend training your magic and perhaps your stamina as well, as the desert will be a harsh environment.
Thank you kindly, -Bygone Era

Dear Bygone Era,
My name is Ruby Nights and I am very pleased to tell you that I have been an adventurer since foalhood. I have years of experience exploring the more hazardous regions of Equestria—be them wilderness, ruins, dungeons, or whatever. I can even say that my very first journey had been a trek through the very Appleloosan deserts you now desire to explore. They certainly proved to have been much less dangerous back when I was a filly, but nevertheless I am familiar with the terrain.
Either way, I am experienced in the field and I would love to join you on your quest! In terms of combat, I am skilled with a dagger and more than capable of holding my own in a fight. Alongside the other adventurers that may join you on this quest, I am certain that I will be able to maintain your safety.
See you then…
Ruby Nights

Dear Ruby Nights,
I'm glad you'll join us on the quest! Having a pony with first-hoof knowledge of the area will be key, and your experience and skills are an excellent addition to the group!
Judging by the responses I have gotten so far, I believe that the quest will most likely take place within one or two months; further information will be sent when I come by it.
Thank you, -Bygone Era
((OoC: I mean Equestrian months, not Earth months.))
