"Ruffian, brute, and that that termagant! Oh!" Opulent was fuming as he galloped into the forest, rushing past trees and vines. With no one around to see him truly upset over what had gone down the pegasus was raging! How dare a low class mule throw him onto the ground like that! What was wrong with those earth ponies!? Did they all just happened to be raised without an ounce of class? What kind of mares and stallions raised their fillies and colts to be such, such, hooligans?! The white one snorted to himself as these thoughts swirled in his head and blocked him from paying much attention to where he was going. The only thing he could even hear aside from his thoughts was his hooves that beat rythmetically into the ground.
After a good while of galloping, Opulent slowed to a trot before finally relaxing and taking a moment to stop and look around in the darkness of the Everfree Forest. Running off in a random direction hadn't proved to be one of his best ideas, but at least, he was alone to fume and vent. "Oh those.. !" He grunted, still not over the fact that he had almost been hit by a mare, but what was worse, was that the other pony had protected him! The pegasus would snort and unleash a powerful buck on the nearest tree to get those feelings of frustration out and then afterward would take a deep breath and calm himself.
Shaking his head now he would clear his mind of the matter. It wasnt like he had those ponies' names, and it wasn't like, he ever had to acknowledge them again. Yes, that's it. If they ran into each other he would just keep his head held high and pretend they weren't in his vicinity. The pegasus pony was pleased with this idea as he began walking through the woods now, his eyes taking into account the land before him as he started his late search for the gems he needed to keep his business running.

"Ah barely have a name to stain, Sug'. It's not like ah go around advertising myself..." Trace sighed, frowning at the bruise on Ranger's side. Her ears folded down as she felt horrible for hurting him, even going as far to winch when he did out of sympathy and guilt. She looked in the direction the stallion had run and chewed on her lip.
"Alright... Ah'm gonna see if ah can't catch up with him." she looked down at the Ranger as he sat, and nodded, "You rest and follow when you can. And don't worry, ah'll keep an eye on my footing." she forced a smile as she watched him. She didn't really want to go after Lush, but she couldn't just sit here and watch Ranger like this. Besides, he's behind the traps. He'll be fine. Right?
"And don't try to argue, Suga'. Ah put the hero out of commission, so ah got to fill in for now." she leaned down to nuzzle the side of his neck quickly before breaking into a gallop and followed the pegasus' trail.

Ranger flopped down, knowing arguing was futile, but also knowing that he couldn't catch up to Trace if he tried, he gave her a weak wave goodbye. Curse his weak constitution. All he could do now was wait for her to come pick him up. He couldn't limp all the way back to his home like this.

No, no, no.. The Everfree Forest was a poor place to look for gems. It was better to search mountains, but, he wasn't exactly equipped to handle the dragons who usually dwelled up there. Continuing to trot along, the large white pegasus would stop every now and then to search places that looked possible. This effort did score him a few gems for empty saddle bag he had brought with him just in case and he'd put them away in there. Other than the few he got at a time though, this place didn't seem to be all that exciting, but it was getting scarier the further he got in.
"..Maybe.." He spoke aloud his one word of doubt, but didn't finish the sentence. There was no way he was going to turn around and waltz up to those two if he had the choice.

Every instinct Trace had was telling her to turn around, that she shouldn't be chasing a foalish pegasus into a dangerous wood with so little supplies. She slowed after running for a while, panting softly, and glanced around. The trail of snapped branches and vines had stopped. "Great... he must'a calmed down." Then she noticed the side of one of the trees looked like it had been kicked, hard. She smirked at knowing she was still on the right path. She took a deep breath and broke into a gallop once more and called out, "Hey Prissy-Pants! Where are ya!?" she knew it probably wasn't a good idea to start the name calling back up, but she didn't know his real name.

Galloping hooves? The white pegasus had stopped to rest against a tree when he heard the mare approaching. Turning towards what he thought was a monster he lowered his head and snorted. Upon hearing the mare's voice though he rolled his eyes and straightened up. I can ignore her.. He thought to himself and turned away from where he heard her voice. However, he didn't readily gallop off, he just started to walk at a leisurely pace..

"Where did that colt get off to?" Trace grumbled as she ran past trees, shifting her gaze left and right, trying to catch a glimpse of the Pegasus through the bushes. 'He's white and gold, for Celestia's sake. He should stick out like a burnt tail!' she thought, feeling herself getting annoyed again. No, no... she pushed that feeling back down. She had to keep her cool this time. No pony had to get hurt. She owned Ranger that much.
She rounded a tree, shifting her gaze upward on the off change he tried to fly and got stuck in the branches. Her gaze returned to the trail again just in time to collide with something soft, white and gold.

The two ponies tumbled ever as she charged him and he fell to his side with her more or less on top of him. The white laid one laid there for a moment, and then let his deep blue eyes look up at her. ".. Did you miss me that much?" He questioned with a grin, instantly becoming cocky even though he had told himself over and over he wasn't going to talk to her. The pegasus opened his wing gently to help her get upright and then stood up himself, beating his wings to get the dirt off and turning towards her.
"Honestly, you fillies will do anything to get your hooves on a any pony with a real fortune." The stallion said mockingly to her, just before picking a twig out of his beautiful golden mane.

Trace was stunned at first, and confused, and found herself thinking that crashing should have hurt more. She shook her head and her vision focused, and she found herself atop the very pony she was looking for. She groaned inwardly at his little comment and muttered a thanks as he helped her up. Unlike him, Trace didn't bother trying to dust herself off or remove twigs or leaves. She was used to being dirty and it didn't bother her.
She facehoofed and took a deep breath, letting his comment roll past. "Look, ah don't know why you came in here and ah don't rightly care, but we need to get you out before somethin' finds us."

The white pony barely was listening to her talk, he was more or less just staring at a branch in her hair that was bothering him something horrible. Unable to take it he leaned forward and pulled the twig out of her mane himself and walked around her, beating his wings lightly to dust her off. "What were you saying? You need an escort out of the forest?"

"Hey, what are you...?" Trace started to pull back as Lush moved towards her, but stopped seeing him go past and remove a twig from her mane. Once again, she groaned out as the pegasus had the nerve to start dusting her off. "Ah was sayin'..." she grumbled, facehooving once more, "That we need to go... and no, ah'm gonna escort you out." she jumped away from him, "Now quit cleanin' me, would ya?" she narrowed her eyes at him. He was being way to casual for being where he was.

After brushing her off a final time just to prove a point he came back around to be face to face with her, that smug look plastered to his face. "I can get out on my own silly filly. I have wings, you know." The pegasus chuckled. "But if you insist on me taking you out of the forest, I will." He said as he flapped his wings and soared up into the sky, taking into account which way the entrance was. Landing again he started to trot in the proper direction that would take him straight to the forest entrance. "Come along now, wouldn't want you gettin' hurt out here." He said with a bit of a grin.

Trace rubbed a hoof against the side of her head, trying to fight off a headache she could feel building up and getting worse the longer she stayed around this pony. She watched fly up and out of sight. She took the moment to take a deep breath, "For Ranger. You're doin' this... for Ranger..." she told herself. When Lush returned and started off into the forest, Trace gave yet another groan and reluctantly followed after him.
"So," she called up to him, "what's your deal?"

"My deal?" Opulent asked her, "Whoa now. I said was escorting you out, not making small talk." The confident pegasus chuckled as he continued walking. "But if you must know I really was just trying to have some fun with you earlier. I'm not a thief, I'm an owner of a jewelry shop in Manehattan. I'm out here looking for supplies." The pegasus said as they continued trotting towards where the masked pony was.

Trace tripped over a tree root after hearing what the pegasus did for a living. "You own a jewelry store?!" she practically yelled in shock and annoyance after catching herself. She stared at Lush, her eye twitching a little, "Heh, of course you had to be... Oh, Celestia, help me." she whimpered and hung her head. She could not believe her bad luck, now she HAD to be nice to him. She started crying on the inside.
