Trace dropped her bloated bag onto the ground next to her cart, falling back onto her haunches immediately afterward. Stifling a yawn, she cranked her neck from side to side, making a small cracking noise. She was tired. After the little adventure last night, mixed with a poor sleep, and getting lost in Ponyville while shopping... she could been better. She groaned, "Never again... Ah'm never bein' some strange pony's pillow ever again." she rubbed the side of her neck with a hoof, "Although, without that mask, he is kinda..." she blushed lightly and shook her head.
With a sigh, she got back to her hooves and took the bag in her mouth and tossed it into the cart with a flick of her head. "At least ah'm done now." she turned to the long dead campfire, "Those supplies should last me the rest of the week." she plopped her flank back down in front of the ash pile. Her gaze wandered to the forest that loomed in front of her camp. She knew there were more secrets that lay within, one's that even Ranger didn't know about. There always were in places like this. Part of her wanted to dash right back into the thicket and go look right this instant, but she knew better. She still needed to scout the place out and get a feel for it. It was only because of Ranger she didn't get lost last night. Yeah, it would probably be best to wait.
Trace Silver sighed again, looking back to the ashes in front of her. Too sore to go adventure, but not tired enough to nap. She settled with drawing in the ashes of her campfire with her hoof.

Descending from the sky was a pegasus pony who was a bit of a priss, but not afraid to get his hooves dirty. Landing softly at the entrance to the forest, his eyes fell first to a mare who was sitting before ashes.
"What's a little filly like you doin' all the way out here?" Opulent asked, not bothering with introductions just yet. "Dont'cha know this here forest is dangerous?" He questioned her, tilting his head slightly and raising an eyebrow as he surveyed the scene. What he thought was a little filly looked exhausted, like she needed to be escorted back to Ponyville! However, when he noticed the cart and the bulging back in it, he realized he had probably jumped to conclusions too fast.

Trace jumped in surprise at the sound of another pony's voice and quickly rubbed out her drawing in the dirt and ashes before turning to face the newcomer. She couldn't believe she let some strange pony, not only wander into her camp, but get the jump on her. She glared at the new pony, "Little? Filly?!" her laid her ears back and stepped towards the pegasus, getting a look at him as she did.
"Ah could be askin' you the same thing," she stopped and stood a foot away from him, "Ya look like ya might break a hoof, or dirty ya shoe out here. Why don't ya just sail off back to your cloud and leave this to the professionals, Colt." While Trace normally tried to keep new ponies at a distance, she normally wasn't so rude. But she was tired and sore, and the 'filly' line got under her skin. And besides, she couldn't stand prissy types, and this pegasus reeked of it.

A slight grin crept up on his face and those deep blue hues would narrow. "Me? Break a hoof? Unlike you, Filly, I'm not so fragile." He pushed his nose to her cheek, patting her lightly in a condescending manner and then walking past her, purposely extending his wing as he went by in an attempt to nudge her just to get a reaction. Circling around, he was now on the opposite side of her.
"My my, temper temper!" Opulent chuckled, "Calm down little one. I can't leave, if I did that, there wouldn't be any professionals around now would there?" He joked as he eyed her. "You look mighty tired after all, a true professional wouldn't be caught in such a state... Clearly, you're just an amateur!" His voice raised at the last four words and he jumped, grabbing her bag and taking off into the sky, just out of her reach where he could shift it onto his back.
"A real treasure hunter knows how to protect their hoard!" The pegasus teased from the air and then turned to the Everfree Forest. He wasn't a very fast flyer, so it wouldn't be too terribly difficult for her to keep up Opulent. However he would be sure to fly high enough to be out of her reach.

A sudden snap around the pegasus' ankle drew his attention to the fact that a rope was now tied to his leg, with a powerful tug he was yanked straight into the thicket of Everfree, the added weight of Trace's treasure not allowing him to be able to resist his aggressor.
As the pony crashed through the branches and into a bush, he heard the soft rustle of leaves before seeing what brought him down. A woodland cloaked pony wearing a wooden mask, withdrawing some device into a hidden saddlebag under his cloak.
"Now, you're not thinking you can just steal around here as you please, do you?" The cloaked pony asked, eyes flaring.

With a soft growl and twitch of her eye, Trace turned slowly to watch the Pegasus, only to have her gaze broken from being nudged by his wing. She stumbled, but quickly recovered and set her glare back on the prissy pony. "Now hold on a minute...!" she hissed, "You can't just waltz in here and--" she cut herself off with a gasp as the flying colt dared to take one of her bags. "Why, you no good...!" That was it. She was going to kill him. No, not good enough. Kill him, stuff him and sell him to a daycare so his stupid gold hair could get chewed and drooled on.
She charged after the thief, pausing for a moment at the brush in front of the forest. She remembered the warnings from before and continued to follow after the Pegasus, though a little slower to keep an eye on her footing.
Trace didn't have to go far before hearing a crash and rustle from up ahead. She couldn't help but chuckle at what she found, "Hey, thanks for the assist, Suga'." she said upon seeing Ranger. Setting her glare back on her thief, she trotted up to him to reclaim her bag, moving it from his back to her own. "This one... caught me a little off guard." she admitted.

Since the bag was not actually secured to him, the moment he felt the snap on his ankle rolled once in the air, letting the bag drop to the forest floor in a spot that was away from his upcoming crash site. Knowing that it wasn't going to be pretty he quickly tucked in his wings and braced as he broke through branches and slammed into the forest floor. Luckily the position wasn't awkward and those previously mentioned branches had broken his fall for the most part, so, he managed to make it through in one piece.
Rolling from his side onto his stomach, the white pony stood up and beat his his wings twice to get the dirt off himself. Then, he turned and began picking the twigs and sticks out his mane; purposefully ignoring the pony that had pulled him out of the sky until he had gotten every twig out of his silky locks. Only then would he look up at the other pony, his face showing no emotion as he studied the other for a second, just before a grin appeared. "You really think I was stealing from her? What kind of foal are you?" He questioned as shook his head. "I have no interest in what was in her bag, I was just having a little fun is all."
Opulent paused a moment and shifted uncomfortably then turned his head away to pull a twig out of his feathers. "Could it have killed you to use another method to grab my attention? I'm sure shouting, would have sufficed. Woodland ruffians.." Those blue eyes of his rolled and he looked over to the brown filly who had come to reclaim her bag. "Well now that the little filly here has her things, I guess I'll be on my way. I hope you learned a lesson little one." The white pegasus said; turning away and starting to trot off.

Taking a second to tie the bag to herself, Trace then darted in front of the Pegasus, "Now hold on a minute! No way ah'm just letting ya leave after that, ya Colt!" she skidded to a stop in front of him, planted her hooves and headbutted him, not hard, just to stop him from moving as she glared daggers at him.
"Ya don't even know what ya stole and made me chase ya into Everfree forest... for some FUN?!" her eye twitched. She disliking his Pegasus more and more. "Why, if Ranger weren't here, ah'd..." she trailed off, but continued to glare.

Ranger stepped closer to the ponies, "I want to know what makes you think you have the right to come here and grieve other ponies." He said, standing next to Trace, "Especially this one."
He stared at the pegasus, what was he thinking? Why do that in the first place? Who does he think he is? Ranger was always ready to deal with flying opponents, cockatrices and drakes and the likes. This pony thought he could just waltz in HIS forest, and grieve HIS Girlfr... HIS friend, Gosh, this again? He HAS to stop thinking about this mare, seriously. He was a super-hero, and Fluttershy invited him to that thing anyway, so she might take it the wrong way.
Wait, why is he even arguing this, this was irrelevant, he should just keep his stupid brain slip ups to himself and be done with it. There was super hero work to be done now anyway, and he was wasting time.

The pegasus had stopped moving the moment she had decided to run in front of him, and took the headbutt to the chest. Uncomfortable with the closeness though, he took two steps back. ".. What do you want?" Opulent asked her with a raised brow. "A written apology?" A grin spread on his face then. "Sorry, I left my paper back at my estate in Manehattan... Tell you what, why don't you wait here while I go get it? I'm sure your lover colt will keep you company.." He said, turning his his face ever so slightly to make a motion to Ranger who had decided to stand by her.
The pegasus now looked at Ranger with his ears perked and his eyes half-lidded with a grin. "I would tell you who I am and thus my right to do as I please but... Out here names mean nothing and so, I must have even more rights here than in the city! Isn't that exciting?"

That was it. Trace was tired from a day in town, sore from an awkward night, and now extremely annoyed. She had enough of this pegasus and his 'better then tho' attitude. A voice in the back of her head made a funny point about a Pegasus being able to have his nose in the clouds while keeping his hooves on the ground. She shook her head a little, but kept her glare on the stallion thief. "Your right. We do got more rights out here." she smirked evilly. She flicked up her flank, spinning around on her front hooves and aimed a buck right for Lush's chest.

Trace's kick struck home, but not on the blond begasus, but instead she struck straight in Ranger's flank, sending him stumbling sideways and to the ground, before coming back up to his feet and shaking his head.
"That's some kick you have there..." He said, in truth jumping in front of Trace's buck was the last thing Ranger wanted to do. But his job was simple, make sure no pony was hurt in the forest, the earlier bringing down of the pegasus was to prevent him for stealing and was justified. This buck, was not.
"Sorry Tracce, couldn't let you go and sour yourself for this jerk."

Opulent had almost braced for the hit but noticed just in time Ranger stood in the way of her sudden attack. This time he did frown. "What is wrong with you?" He questioned Ranger, "Why would you do that?" Clearly, being protected in any sort of fashion bothered him even if Ranger was clear on telling Trace that it was more for her. Opulent would shift awkwardly as if trying to figure out what to say to the pony that took the hit for him... but the right words would never come and he would get flustered. "Nevermind, I don't want to know!" The white pegasus snorted and began backing away from the scene and then turned. "Goodbye!" With his feathers finally ruffled by Ranger's strange action, the white pony started galloping deeper into the forest so he could start hunting for gems.

Trace turned back around with a smirk, only to see Lush unharmed and unmoved. Confused, she shifted her gaze to see Ranger on the ground instead. That snapped her back to her senses and she found herself agreeing with the white thief, "Why did you do that?!" she gasped, worried, but her voice still held a hint of angry, though it was now aimed at the foalish masked pony.
"Ah'm so sorry!" she circled Ranger once he stood, forgetting about Lush for the moment as she inspected the damage she caused, "'Sour myself'? Oh, you foal... Look at you! Are you alright?" she frowned, mentally beating herself up.
Trace only looked up when she heard Lush's 'good-bye' and watched him run deeper into the forest, "Wait!" she called after him, but she knew wouldn't. She looked back to Ranger, "...Should we go after him?"

"I'm alright I guess, I just didn't want you to stain your good name over that annoying attention horse. He's not worth the effort." Ranger sighed, "It's alright though, don't worry." He winced a moment later, obviously not as fine as he said.
"As much as I don't like the idea of him being in there, I don't know what we're going to do about it. I don't think we can drag him out without a scuffle." He said, turning around with a visible limp, from Trace's buck.
He sat down, "Maybe in a couple of moments, I haven't seen any monsters around." The masked earth pony craned his head to look at his bruised side, frowning. Sometimes being a hero was just not fun. Not fun at all.
