Lone Blaze was exploring the underbrush still, looking for the source of the grunt. Hearing a...strange sound not far off, she was about to investigate it when she heard the cries from behind her. She turned and headed back to the clearing, spotting a young unicorn and the pegasus from before. "You are the monster?" she asked. Abrupt and to the point, as usual. "I figure we have as much right to be here as you. You don't have the right to scare everypony off." she said, a slight scolding tone in her voice. You had to be firm with children.

"Uhhh....are you feeling okay? You uhhhh........" Forget how young the unicorn was, it looked like half his coat had fallen off! Aero still kept Blaze away, not wanting anypony to get hurt, well any more so than they had been at least. Aero looked over the unicorn one more time and took a step back.

Magma looked at the smear of red that had trailed after her fall and slide against the wet grass. "Oh," she said as if this was a normal occurrence. "Do you know what's in the bog?" Magma looked at both of them, still pouty from her discovery.

Lone Blaze looked at the streak of what was apparently soot, and back at the black unicorn before her. She hadn't gotten a good look at her, but from what was left, it seemed as if she had an appearance of actually being made of fire. "I was under the impression..." Lone Blaze said slowly, "that you were the one scaring everypony out of the bog. Are you saying that there's more?"
Lone looked out, deeper into the bog again. It would explain the sound she had heard earlier, and why this young unicorn was so bound and determined to keep them out. Lone Blaze actually found that kind of annoying; if there was something worth sharing, it should be shared. If there was something dangerous, then everypony back in ponyville needed to know about it. This filly was being very selfish.

Aero approached Magma. "So you know theres something dangerous out here? Why are you out here all by your little self then?" Wonderful, the unicorn trying to ambush them was a little foal, and he just made her smack into a tree hard enough to knock it over. How else could she make him look like a complete toss pot?

GREATER WATER ELEMENTAL
None of the three ponies could anticipate what came next, as a massive rush of water erupted beneath them, throwing them all in different directions. The gigantic geyser formed in mid air, towering above them and casting a partial shade all around.
The form it took was that of a massive watery dragon. Before any of them could react it lunged forwards, pulling Lone Blaze right into its midst, absorbing her into the water, where she would be fated to drown.
This creature was far beyond the skills of these ponies, they could not even begin to think how to damage it, let alone how to reach into its core through feet of liquid water to rescue Lone Blaze. If they did not run, it was obvious, they would share her fate, and perish.

As the pegasus accosted the young filly, Lone Blaze looked on, studying the curious sight. She still hadn't gotten over how it looked like a creature of fire more than a unicorn. More than that, she wondered exactly what sort of creature could be lurking in the bog. The fire pony was protecting something-
Before Lone Blaze had a chance to ponder further, she felt a great force send her flying upwards, away from the others. "What was that?" she wondered, turning her body in midair to lessen the blow from the landing. She managed to land fairly neatly, rising to her feet just in time to see the water surging up and taking shape. "The water's alive!" she exclaimed.
Those turned out to be her last words before being pulled into the swirling mass of water. Having only a split second to take in a breath, Lone Blaze was already in danger. She struggled to swim towards the edges, but the current shifted with every movement, pulling her in deeper. It wasn't long before she realized every movement was using up precious air. Already her lungs were begging for another breath.
Still she fought, struggled against the roiling tides inside the dragon. Lone Blaze was a fighter, she always had been. Ever since she was a filly, she had been trying to best her peers, her elders, even fate itself. Today, though, was not her day. The more she struggled, the faster her panic rose; her legs flailed helplessly, hooves reaching for any clear air.
Spots swam before her eyes; this couldn't be it, it wouldn't. Lone Blaze was not going to die like this. Not after all she had done. Her chest clenched as she reached out, hoping, begging that somepony would save her. But nopony came, and bit by bit, her motions slowed. She felt it, felt her body shutting down, starved of oxygen. As her vision darkened, Lone Blaze fought all the harder. She was not going to die! Despite her determination, however, she couldn't escape her fate. The blackness overcame her as she gave a last great kick, before going limp, floating in the midst of the calming water. Her body quickly stilled its last motions as the last sparks of life faded from her.

Aero stumbled to his hooves in time to see Lone Blaze disappear. "Oh my goddess." Aero jumped to help magma to her hooves. "Go on, get yourself someplace safe, you have to tell everypony whats out here." Aero turned to face the beast and looked back at magma. "Go on, I'll be just fine." He lied. He was condemning himself and he knew it, but he couldn't bring himself to just leave such a promising young unicorn to die. The worst that could happen is he could die and magma could escape and one day reach adulthood. If he succeeded, Blaze could fulfill her potential.

She stared at the pony. Magma had just been cruelly pranking him and now he wanted to save her? What a suicidal move. Still, she wasn't used to someone actually caring about her existence unless it was useful to them that she be alive.
She watched helplessly as Lone Blaze was drowning. A water creature. Of all the things...
That no longer mattered, however. Magma jumped and landed beside Aero. "Leave? You want me to leave you? You're going to die, you idiot!" Magma was furious. No one was going to pin their death on her. She looked at Lone Blaze, floating limp inside the creature. "Is she...?" Her sentence couldn't be finished. She was terrified of where that line of thought would lead. "We need to get her out of there!" she tried, looking at Aero. Her expression hardened. "I'm not leaving."

She refused to leave...this changes things. It doesn't do anypony any good for ALL of them to die out there. As much as he wanted to believe otherwise, there was nothing he could do for Blaze now. The best thing he could do is save Magma, but...no, no buts, Magma needed him and he wasn't going to let her down.
Aero shed a tear and took Magma in his hooves and tried to fly them both somewhere safer. Aero tried desperately to shut out the thoughts of having just condemned an innocent young unicorn.

As the two ponies flew away, the water elemental stood still, Lone Blaze's limp corpse floating within it. What disturbed it was now gone, but there was something else here.
From the shadow of the trees a figure emerged, wrapped in dark cloths from head to toe, a large hood casting a shadow concealing all but a metallic snout. From within the depths of the cowl were two smoldering, sickly green orbs, glaring at the elemental intently.
A soft thud on the ground followed by a metallic screech signified the unfolding of the dreaded Shadow-Cleaver. And before the elemental could even react, the figure was already on the other side of it. One touch of the blade was all it took to disperse the entropic creature. Leaving Blaze's body dripping with now sickly green liquid.
The Reaper picked her up by her mane, holding her form face to face with him, a small inhaling sound could be heard in the still silence that fell upon the bog, and with the exhale a puff of green vapors was creeping towards Lone Blaze's face, penetrating her eyes, nostrils and mouth, still open agape in a desperate attempt for breath.
She was not raised, but no longer dead. Her body was being preserved by magical forces now, and would not be damaged further by the lack of oxygen. The Reaper turned, dragging her fallen body along side him as he headed back into the thicket, disappearing.
