The dark shadow looming in the swamp known as Froggy Bottom Bog was growing, expanding rapidly. It was a responsibility, a duty none other than Red Charge could fulfill. He has been picked by the Lord himself, picked to bring about his glorious return.
A triumphant smile crossed the lips of the red pelted pony as he observed from the high grounds as his followers scrambled about, expanding territory, building, preparing. As though things could not get any better, a little bird told him that Princess Celestia, the one he had considered the greatest of his threats, had left Canterlot. His smile widened as he descended the stairway from atop his pyramid to mingle in his forces.
"Lieutenant Percheron." He purred quietly, and as though by cue the Pegasus in red armor landed next to him, attentive as always.
"Master." He replied with a bow, which his silver armored leader ignored. Though he knew Red Charge was never one for formality, even amongst his finest, he kept his etiquette at the highest level. He respected his master far too much to allow any less of himself, or his subordinates.
"Construction is proceeding smoothly, and time is on our side." Red Charge stated with certain flair to his speech, his tone was slow and deliberate, so that even a casual bystander would have no problem understanding him. "Soon all that we have hoped for, all that we have dreamed of will become a reality." Now more than just Percheron's ears were perked, the followers around them were at a standstill, curious to hear their leader's words.
"I believe it is time to recruit from the locale, we need ponies who know the area, I trust you to find those who can be made loyal, and have no hesitation in making them so." The crimson cult leader stood in place, now all eyes were fixed upon him, such was the effect of his small speech.
"My friends, my brothers in arms, we will not vanish quietly into the void of history, we will not leave without making our stand. When pony mothers tell of our tale, it would not be to scare the young foals and fillies into compliance, but to give them a proud recollection of how the few stood against the many, to return to Equestria the most worthy sovereign!"
As the crowd around him burst into ecstatic stomping, Red Charge turned back to his quarters, "Find ones that are vulnerable, open minded, and make them our brothers Percheron, make this your primary task." He reiterated, and though he did not receive a verbal reply from his lieutenant this time, he knew his orders were understood and would be carried out to the letter.
