Name: Sunset Symphony
Gender: Female
Age: Young Adult
Species: Pegasus
Pelt Color: For the most part, her coat is a soft brown, that fades to a creamy white near her hooves.
Mane/Tail Color & Style:Both her mane and tail are a bright yellow, that are naturally streaked with colors of red, pink, and orange. When she is performing or dealing with media her mane and tail are both done in various styles that are most commonly found in the Crystal Empire, full of many bright blue jewels as accessories, as that is where she was born and raised. When she is alone or with her friends though, she's rather lazy about her mane and tail. During times like these she wears her mane in a messy bun, allowing her bangs to cover her forehead while two longer strands frame her face. She also takes off her tail extensions that she wears for performances, as she prefers her tail shorter, coming to only just reaching her hocks, where as when she is performing her tail is much longer and trails on the ground behind her.
Eye Color: A sparkling ice blue.
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is that of a sunset on the ocean, with the sun being in the slight shape of a heart and with a music note shimmering in the water.
Residence: Crystal Empire (She's not a crystal pony)
Occupation: Singer/Songwriter (She only writes her own songs)
Talents, Skills: Musical talent is one of Sunset's biggest strengths. She has a naturally beautiful singing voice and a talent for making a catchy song that others can relate to. She has no problem sitting down and beginning the work of starting the process of a new song, though she of course has writers block from time to time like any other artist, but through many years of practice and dedication she has become very good at being able to come up top hit songs.
Another strength of Sunset is her athletic ability. She's strong, fast, and agile whether she's on the ground or in the air. She prides herself on her speed and agility mostly though, and can pick up most tricks and sports with few difficulties. For her staying in good physical condition is easy, even when she's not exercising often. She's just one of those ponies who have an easy time staying in shape.
Luckily, a good sense of direction is also one of her strengths, good thing too her many of her adventures could end up with her being totally lost. She has a good memory for landscape, and is rather good at estimating distances. When she's in new territory she's able to locate where she is with a map with practiced ease. Her years of adventuring have also given her a decent knowledge of plants and regions the grow in with also help her in knowing where she's at.
Lastly is loyalty. Without a doubt, Sunset Symphony is one of the most loyal ponies you could ever meet. She would never dream of betraying a friends trust, or breaking a promise, even the thought of such things can cause this pony great anxiety.
Likes: Sunset loves nothing more than being outside in the world, where she can explore to her hearts content. She loves the thrill of finding adventure in somewhere new, or investigating ancient ruins that were left long ago by pony's of old, and scouring them for hidden secrets, that have been long forgotten. When she's off seeking her next adventure, she prefers to avoid the bustling cites, and instead seeks out old historical sites or the untamed wilds of Equestria.
Despite her love of travel and adventure, Sunset also dearly loves her friends and family, an old saying goes that "home is where the heart is" and for Sunset that couldn't be closer to the truth. Her love of her friends and family keeps her adventures short and sweet, for as much as she loves the thrill of discovery, she loves her friends and family more.
Last, but certainly not least is her love of music. For as long as she can remember she's always been fascinated by music and had a deep love of it. Some of her earliest memories are of her prancing around either singing to her current favorite song or making something up that suited her current mood. Her love of music extends to song writing and playing as well as singing. For her she feels that it's much easier to express how she feels by writing lyrics to a new song, or composing music to go with her mood. She plays a few instruments, mainly guitar and piano but rarely does she every play other than for herself or close friends. She's almost always humming a tune or singing whether she's doing chores, taking a stroll, or flying through the clouds.
Dislikes: If there's one thing that Sunset can't stand it's being cooped up in a place for long periods of time. What is a long period of time you might ask? Well for Sunset a long period of time could be ten minutes when she's full of energy or somewhere she doesn't want to be. Being cooped up when she could be off doing something else will drive Sunset to the brink of insanity.
Another thing this young mare can't stand is the media. There is nothing more she hates than when she has to play nice for the camera and face millions of questions, most of which she has no desire to answer. Why do they need to know about her favorite color, who her best friend is, if there's somepony special in her life, or how she feels about the newest trend. As far as she's concerned her personal life is none of their business and her opinions are her own and she see's no reason why she should share them with the rest of the world, just to be questioned even further on why she feels that way.
Being alone. Now that's not to say that Sunset doesn't like some time alone now and again, but generally speaking she hates being by her lonesome. For her while being alone can be soothing and calming once in a blue moon, she finds greater peace and comfort in being with others, mainly her friends. After all what's the point of life if you have no one to live it with?
Character Personality: Full of spunk and energy, Sunset Symphony is not one to sit still and do nothing. Her need to constantly be doing something comes from the fact that her mind is almost always going at a hundred miles an hour. Her thoughts are often so jumbled that even she can't make sense of them and will often change the subject abruptly or change what she is doing as a result of her sporadic thoughts. However not even Sunset can be full of energy all the time and when she does finally crash, she crashes hard often spending a day or two lazing around before she's back to herself.
Sunset is full of playful sass and always goofing off when she get's the chance. Even in the middle of work it's not uncommon for her to be the biggest distraction in the room, often teasing the others or doing something totally random like singing some random song or dancing when she's supposed to be focused on other things. Her general lack of focus can make her difficult to work with of course, but she knows when it's time to get serious and stop fooling around.
Since her busy schedule often keeps her from seeing her friends as much as she would like, she makes sure she never wastes one moment of her free time. On her days off she rarely ever seen alone, and is always making plans with others, often to the point where she's more tired on her days off than when she is working. It doesn't really matter what it is that she is doing with her friends as long as she is with them. From going on one of her crazy adventures with them to staying home to help them foalsit one of their younger siblings she finds the fun and joy in the situation every time.
As much as she loves her friends and making new ones, she often finds it hard to get close to other ponies. This isn't because she has a hard time relating to others, in fact she finds it easy to relate to just about anypony. Rather she's afraid to let others inside at the risk of being hurt. So most often she only lets others get so close and then will keep them their at that distance for a long time before she will truly open up to them.
Bio (optional) : As a young filly, too young to even walk she left alone on the doorstep of a random pony in the Crystal Empire. Nopony saw her being left, or has any clue to who her parents might be or even if they are alive anymore. She was taken to a local orphanage where she most of her youth. Her life in the orphanage wasn't bad by any means, the Mare and Stallion that ran the place were a very kind couple and did their best to take care of all the fillies and colts that one way or another ended up under their roof, but being so busy they weren't always able to spend a lot of individual time with any of the young ponies. So Sunset often found herself left to her own devices.
Sunset perfectly remembers the first time she saw a concert. She was around the age of eight had been bored and snuck away from watchful eyes of her caretakers who had been busy with one of the younger colts who had just fallen off his chair and was now in tears. She had heard about this famous singer that was going to be performing close by, she had asked if she could go but her caretakers had sadly explained that she couldn't because there was no extra money for such things. Well being as stubborn as she was, Sunset was determined to go and see the concert one way or another. So she managed to sneak in and before she was discovered and taken back, she fell in love with the idea of becoming a singer. She already had a love of music, but had never realized that she could make a career out of it. From then on she spent all her time learning how to read music and working on making her own songs.
When she was a little older, around the age of fifteen, is when she caught her first break. She had been doing an audition, and had won. Afterwards though when she had been asked where her parents where she had been turned down, saying that there was no way the company could sign her on if she didn't have someone that could travel with her and be responsible for her. Just then though, one of the volunteers from the orphanage came forward and said that he would be responsible for her, and that was that. She had found herself a family and gotten her first big break in her music career all in one day. Her adoptive father, Winter Gale, later told her how he and his wife had been thinking of adopting her for a while as his wife, Harmonic Moon, couldn't have anymore fools and they wanted their son, Winter Moon, who was her age to have a sibling.
It wasn't long before Sunset's music began hitting the radio and her popularity rose. In only a few short years she had gone from having no family and being somepony that didn't stand out from the crowd to having loving parents and a brother that she was extremely close to along with being one of the most popular up and coming singers there was.
However she is only just beginning to realize the price her new found fame is costing her, and is starting to wonder if this is the life she really wants.

Alright, couple things which need addressing before the bio can be considered for approval. 1. Please change your account name to the name of your character. This can be done under your profile options. This is so everyone can better identify you. 2. We have no Crystal Empire on CD. Story wise, nothing following season 2 of the show has occurred and with only a few exceptions, no elements post season 2 are canonical to our universe. 3. Your character has a lot of talents/skills. The singing/music I understand is crucial to the character and the athletic ability isn't necessarily overkill however, her natural talent for it on top of her natural musical talent is pushing it. You're going to need to counter with something negative, perhaps she has a condition which requires her to keep in shape or an exercise addiction? Something to help towards balancing a strength and weakness else you're going into mary-sue territory and we'd like you to avoid that. Everyone/pony has flaws and weaknesses. The same also goes for her outdoors ability: pathfinding, land-nav, and botany/horticulture knowledge strengths are too much, especially for a young pony who also apparently has other obligations. You're going to have to cut back on these proficiency by a wide margin. So could be learning these things, casual hobby, but I just don't see how she have these strengths based on her background (growing up in a city orphanage does not lead to a firm knowledge of the outdoors). Be sure to read: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/SoYouWantTo/AvoidWritingAMarySue If you're unsure what you may need to do to avoid fringing into this territory. Lastly, since your character is suppose to be famous, I'm going to have to clear them with Red Charge, the board creator. Famous characters can potentially impact the story through retcon (and we also already have a famous singing pony), so he just needs to check if your character in their current famous state wouldn't cause any conflicts.
