I followed the lore and history as best as I was able, so please point out any discrepancies I may have made.
Name: Starstorm
Gender: Male
Age: Teen
Species: Unicorn
Pelt Color: Cyan
Mane/Tail Color & Style: Dark brown color, with a messy mane that reaches down in front to eye level and a tail that just goes wherever the heck it feels like going. It nearly touches the ground.
Eye Color: Brown, like his mane.
Cutie Mark: A small brown book and quill, showing his passion for studying the arcane.
Residence: Fillydelphia
Occupation: Travelling researcher of magic
Talents, Skills: Very intelligent when it comes to magic, and is rather skilled at Divination. He can use spells from other schools, but only at an extremely basic level.
Likes: Magic, magic and more magic. The study of magic is practically what brings meaning to Starstorm's life. He also likes meeting and talking to others, plants, singing (poorly), history, and trying to solve puzzles (even though he's utterly inept at them most of the time).
Dislikes: Heights, due to crippling acrophobia. Minor dislikes include bugs, oversleeping, and ghost stories.
Character Personality: Despite his expertise regarding the arcane, Starstorm is actually a bit slow on the uptake otherwise. He gets lost easily on any in-depth conversation regarding a subject that isn't his own area of study. This is not due to poor intelligence, but a very fickle attention span. Most of the time, he is very flighty, cheerful and brash. However, when he talks about magic, he undergoes a complete transformation: He stands up straighter, he gains a look of understanding in his eyes, his vocabulary expands vastly, and he even sometimes exudes an aura of leadership depending on the situation. Either way, it takes a lot to anger him. He likes to imagine himself as a powerful wizard despite how silly it may seem, and as such often wears a dark blue cloak. He also likes to make puns and deliver long speeches when he feels them appropriate.
Bio: During Starstorm's childhood, he was a bit of a troublemaker due to his flighty nature. At first, it was only minor things that were easily fixed--a messy floor here, a drawing on the wall there. However, as he grew older, he started getting a bit more creative. His favorite thing to do was to blast the walls with his magic, cracking the plaster slightly and causing his parents quite a headache. It wasn't long after this began that his parents began to desperately search for something to keep him occupied. Starstorm ended up scribbling doodles in library books, stomping all over game boards, smashing vials, and more. His parents first discovered his obsession with magic when his father used a spell of his own to extract a dangerous chemical from a mess on the floor after one such incident.
In the years that followed, nearly all of Starstorm's time was spent learning the ways of his species. He sat still for more than five seconds at a time to read books on the subject, honed his abilities towards constructive purposes, and asked his father for lessons. His parents were naturally relieved at this new development. Starstorm's cutie mark appeared when he successfully analyzed the magic inside his parents' wedding rings. For him and his family, life was good.
Unfortunately, it was not to last. Things changed when Fillydelphia was invaded during the Diamond Dog attacks. Starstorm and his parents were driven out of their home and were forced to live as refugees. There, they barely got enough food and water to survive, and they often feared that the Diamond Dogs would find them and wipe them out. Life was hard, but fairly uneventful, until they were finally able to return to what was left of their home following the city being retaken. Starstorm, now a teenager, decided that he'd had enough of being helpless and that he wanted to make a difference. With his parents' blessings, he set off, becoming a wanderer and doing what he can.
