Each Zebra Tribe possesses its own warriors. The leader of any tribe's warriors is always the chieftain, who is usually the most experienced and strongest warrior in a tribe. The warriors practice since foal-hood to survive the harsh conditions of the jungle and Savannah in the Zebra Lands. Each and every warrior must pass a rite when becoming a teenager, the rite differs from tribe to tribe; some tribes would demand of a young warrior to hunt a predator of his skill level, only coming back with proof would grant that warrior passage into adulthood and to become a warrior. Another tribe might demand of its warriors to balance on a pole for an entire day without falling, on one hoof. Larger, more picky tribes would conduct fights between young warriors in training to determine who is worthy of becoming warriors and who should continue training and retry.
Zebra Warriors are known for striking suddenly and drawing back even more suddenly. Zebras tend to always use their environment to their advantage and practice many necessary skills such as climbing, swimming, crawling, swinging and other forms of environmental training. There is no hierarchy for Zebra warriors other than veterancy. The young warriors usually form the first wave of attack or defense while the older, more experienced veterans serve as spear throwers until their lines are broken, this gives young warriors the opportunity to fight and gain combat experience, while still allowing the older warriors to take down enemies.
