The Diamond Dog Invasion Army
The Diamond Dog Invasion Army is far less organized than it seems. The Invasion Army does not use expressed rank, but instead opts for battlefield promotions. Every warrior is a grunt, with veterans being superior to the recruits. Grunts who excel in the field of battle (or have their superiors killed) are promoted to officers. Each officer has their own unit which can range from 10 to 50 dogs. Officers have no established hierarchy and all are under the Generals.
The Invasion Army has little in the form of logistics, preferring to loot and use their enemies' supplies against them rather than carry their own equipment across large distances. There are logistics centers spread around the Diamond Dog camps and those handle the rationing and equipment of the army.
Even in the invasion army the Diamond Dog caste system of Warrior, Digger, Gemtender is existent. Warriors take to the front lines, diggers clear the way for reserves and Gemtenders take care of healing and magical support. The elite hybrid units are often much smaller and have no need for large organization or caste separation.
All in all the Invasion Army is just what it seems to be, an invading horde of somewhat disciplined warriors. Most of them obviously in it for the violence or the loot. Sharp and his Generals truly managed to do wonders in turning the disorderly violent mob into an effective fighting force.
