Character Personality: Looking to Trip Snare from an outsider's perspective, one would see a secluded, quiet student who seems all too eager to head back to his dorm after class. He rarely seems to talk with ponies, and those he does talk to tend to end up just as secluded as him. To his teachers, he's a student that learns quickly with practical knowledge and practice, but can't hold anything from a book or scroll for any longer than a few minutes. For some reason, new furniture and a few janitors frequent his dorm to clean up after his 'experiments'. Amongst his peers, he's a quirky student eager to test out newly learned spells and experiment with them, but far less eager to pick up a book and try to learn a spell from text alone. While he'll often ask ponies to help him in his experiments, he has gotten himself into a bit of trouble by spontaneously putting them a 'test' between classes without telling them ahead of time.
As for how he views himself, Trip Snare tends to see himself as the sort of student that learns the most outside of the classroom (and the library). As he's often found his experiments exploding in his face or simply going awry, he's gotten a firm grasp of how to keep himself focused enough to avoid unnecessary...well, explosions. However, beyond that, he's well out of his grasp in nearly any situation he hasn't had time to prepare for, which includes 'hangouts' with other students. For that reason, he could honestly understand why ponies think of him as 'secluded'.
