Character Personality: Live Wire is a mare with a carefree heart. She’s lazy by all standards as well, but she blames that on being out of work, refusing to be tied down to the typical job other ponies have subjected themselves too. She's routinely crude, detached, and rather blunt, not the type to hold back punches both emotionally and physically. She's a mare that likes to do whatever she can to be different and against the more conservative norm - shooing the consequences away, no matter what they may be, as she believes, anything is better when it's different and weird.
Bio: Live Wire was born the only foal of a poor family in Canterlot. Her father was a soldier in Canterlot's guard who went missing before her birth while her mother was lowly seamstress. From the beginning, Live Wire had the cards stacked against her, but she never let that drag her down. Even as a young filly, she refused to end up like her mother, working her hooves to the bone in futile. Instead, she practiced her talents, becoming quite good at magic as it related to electricity; all the while, she fell into a seedy and poor crowd of pony gangsters. Mostly petty pick-pockets, they helped supplement her mother's meager earnings. Her mother, not content to let her daughter fall into such a crowd and with her budding talents, Live Wire was able to get admission to Celestia's School for Gift Unicorns.
Schooling never set well with Live Wire. Her carefree philosophy and abhorrence towards authority lead to her butting heads with the teachers and administrators. Coupled with her past gang affiliations catching up with her, resulting in a fight that left her horn damaged, she was expelled from the school despite her aptitude for electrical magic. Since then, she has kept to the streets, both in Canterlot and Manehatten to scratch out a living, too prideful to return to her mother and admit defeat.
