The Pony EliteIn the Equestrian Army/Royal Guard there are several units who are heard of far and wide in both Equestria and the rest of the world. These units are either specialists or elite soldiers willing to give up everything for their home land, here will be detailed several of them. Click the name of each unit to view them. The Yellow FlashesThe Yellow Flashes, founded by THE Yellow Flash, one whose alias is known as Double Crescent (Real name unknown), are a unit specializing in rapid teleportation and precision striking within battle. Yellow Flashes work best when teleporting in and out of a battlefield, striking, retreating then striking again from another angle. Yellow Flashes can teleport quickly, efficiently and numerously with little effort, which is why they are feared by many, as they can pop in at any direction at any time and attack before most get a chance to react. CUTIE MARK UPGRADE - Yellow Flash Cutie Mark background. The Red GuardThe Red Guard are the direct descendants of the Equestrian Battle Mages. The art of Battle Magic died with the great Destrier and his students in the Prism Wars. However, unknown to Equestria, one remained. Red Charge, once deemed traitor and rebel by Princess Celestia is now Princess' Luna's Royal Advisor and Right Hoof Stallion. He had already taught his protege Watermark the art of the Battle Mage but has now begun to train a new elite unit. Their purpose - heavy assault, artillery and defense all at once. The Red Guards are not only extremely magically potent, but also physically powerful and capable of great feats of strength. CUTIE MARK UPGRADE - Red energy aura around the cutiemark. The Rainlock Security ForcesThough not truly an Equestrian military unit, the Rainlock Security Forces are their own private army. Fanatically devoted to Dr. Gale Rainlock, most of these have military backgrounds, some coming out of elite units. Unlike Equestria itself, Gale makes sure to stay ahead as far as equipment and technology goes, spending her best coin into producing and procuring the best weapons and armor money can get for her soldiers. The Rainlock Security Forces are often enlisted to assist law enforcement and military forces in need, they consist mostly of pegasi but have an assortment of all the pony species.
