"Gosh..." Lightning Flicker sighed to herself as she went about flying through the crystal clean air of Equestria. "I love this place ... It's so beautiful." She smiled to herself as she fluttered her wings. She looked down below and, within a few miles or so, there was what seemed to be a town filled with a big population. Interested, she flew faster so she ould get a better look at the town itself.
She landed on the outskirts of the city, looking at all of the homey looking buildings, the soft lights that lit up each corner, and all of the cheery faces that seemed to give the town its warm, cozy feeling. Lightning put her hood over her head and her bandana over her mouth. She was afraid that, in a town like this, she would be judged. She wasnt around very many ponies very much, so she didn't really know how to talk to them. She walked into what seemed to be a plaza in Ponyville, and it was completely packed with ponies buying all different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Lightning felt like she didnt belong here at all. She was, if anything, a small town pony. But maybe coming here would have been a mistake...

[blue]-♦-Rarity-♦-[/blue] ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ Wander around the plaza for new material was almost a task during the midday rush. And not to mention the fabric cart didn't hold much material, at least not for her shop. Which is why she usually gets it sent to her from canterlot. But since her last client had used most of her common colors, she needed a few replacements for side projects. She smiled at the cart vendor, [purple]"Good afternoon Needle Stitch!"[/purple] she smiled at the mare. The yellow pony smiled back at her, [yellow]"well if it isn't my favorite customer! How are you!"[/yellow] the two have done business since she was a young filly.
[purple]"I'm doing fabulous! I just need a couple rolls of fabric!"[/purple] she blushed, as she knew what the mare already knew what she wanted. [yellow]"Well you happen to be in luck, I have a new spring green, light sky blue and a fuchsia pink! I thought of you when I saw them, so I set the, aside before they sold out![/yellow] she rolled them around the stall. The white mares eyes' lit up. [purple]"They look amazing! I'll definitely take them! Are they the usual running cost? Twenty bits each?"[/purple] she was ready to pull out the sixty bits. The mate smiled, [yellow]"Rarity, dear, you've been a customer for so long! I think I can spare thirty bits off the usual price..."[/yellow] she prepared herself to load them into her wagon. She smiled, [purple]"it sounds great to me! But I can't leave without your tip!" she payed her old friend and helped her load her wagon up. [purple]"Thank you so much Needle Stitch!"[/purple] she placed a small bag of bits in the tip jar. She happily trotted away, knowing she left sixty bits at her tip.
On her way back to her boutique she quickly pushed herself through the hustle and bustle of the plaza. Nearly everypony looked the same to her. Different colors. But the same happy expression. It was the usual ponyville. Down home country folk. Where everypony knows everypony. But one pony caught her eyes, she hadn't seen them before. And conveniently enough, the pony stood towards the outskirts of the crowd. A perfect place for two to have conversation! Every new pony deserves a pleasant hello!
She trotted over to the distant newcomer, [purple]"hello there, I don't think I've seen you around here before! Are you just visiting?"[/purple] she made sure to put on her most welcome smile. The pony seemed nervous, which was easy in this atmosphere. [purple]"Don't worry about it, it may seem intimidating, but it's really an easier crowd than it looks..."[/purple] then again she was acquainted to canterlot crowds.
