Splatterpaint's family rarely left Manehattan. They were poor, they had a shop to tend to, and Splatters had activities. But when Splatterpaint's mother, Whitepaint, had gotten word of a colt in Ponyville who was in need of an artist, and was going to pay good money, the Paint family had packed their bags and gone on a little trip. Splatters wasn't sure how long they would be there. It had already been a week. But Splatterpaint loved the change in scenary; instead of grey buildings and rude ponies, this place was full of colors and friendly others. She enjoyed walking around, looking at the scenary, and talking to other ponies and colts. There were a couple of other teens here that she had become friends with, and, to her delight, there was plenty of things to keep her busy.
Today, Splatterpaint was exploring again. She had already seen Whitetail woods, a bakery, a bookstore, and some other places he hadn't checked out yet. So she now found herself wandering around in the open, feeling, for the first time that trip, boredom. She blinked her eyes towards the younger fillies and foals who were running around. The day was sunny, so she felt heat beating down on her back. Not that she minded. Warm days were better than cold days, in her opinion.
Splatterpaint trotted over to one of the little cafes, purchasing a strawberry smoothie and taking it back outside to one of the outdoor tables. Taking a seat, she sipped on her drink mindlessly. It was not as much fun being alone, but she was used to it. Whipping out a notepad and a charcoal pencil, she began sketching the scene before her while drinking. She lost herself in her work quickly, scribbling away furiously at her art, completely oblivious to anything going on around her.

N E O N S P L A S H Her shop was days away from opening. After he visit in cloudsdale for her home renovations, she finally had time for herself. Today would be the day she would get to know other ponies. She wondered how the ponyville ponies would be compared to the canterlot ones. She dusted bookshelves in an effort to make her wake up for the day. Nothing like a little house cleaning to get a day going. Or maybe it was just pre-greeting jitters. If this was the case she would be leaning for hours. Shoot, it's already been a couple hours since she woke up. Then again, she was up at dawn.
After she finished cleaning her living space she sighed, "well, there really isn't much for me to do in my home now..." she looked around once more, "I guess I'd better get ready to meet everypony!" now things were starting to set in, she was getting excited. She fixed her mane and tail and trotted down stairs. Her shop was perfect and ready for opening day, now all she needed to do was get through the waiting process.
She walked outside, ponies were out and about now; rather then when she woke up. She wondered where she should begin. The market place? It sounds like a good place to start to get yourself acquainted with everything. Food stands, knick knack shops, a little cafe and a filly all on her lonesome. Wait, a filly? She looked around and noticed she was the only little one by herself. Every other pony was playing or shopping. She smiled, as the filly was drawing. This caught her attention.
She pushed herself off the ground and fluttered carelessly over to the filly. She looked down over her shoulder, she was drawing the scene before her. A little artist pony, how pleasant! "My, my! What wonderful drawing skills you have!"she admired the little fully in a way that reminded her of herself when she was young. "My name is Neon Splash! What is yours? " [/size]

Splatterpaint was the type of pony who lost herself in things. No matter what it was. She could be good at it or bad at it, but when she was focused, the whole world could be overrun with aliens and she wouldn't notice. So when a random pony flew over to her and spoke, she only barely noticed. The voice made her jump, and she dropped her pencil. Turning her head, neon colors swam before her eyes, and it took a moment for her eyes to adjust. She blinked, and was finally able to make out the outline of the pony. She beamed at the warm compliment, "Gee, thanks!" She did a quick scan of the pony. Neonsplash. An appropriate name, seeing as she was, in fact, completely neon colors. Pelt, tail, mane, everything- even her cutie mark was bright.
"Nice to meet'cha, Neonsplash. I'm Splatterpaint, you can just call me Splatters, though!" Splatters grinned again, "So are you a painter too?" It was easy to guess that she was. A cutie mark tells it all. And her name helped. Splatterpaint hadn't known there were other painters in Ponyville. But then again, she had spotted what looked like an art studio a couple days ago... hmm, maybe this was the pony who owned the studio. Probably.
"So do you live here in Ponyville? Do you own a shop or something?" Splatters really never thought of herself as nosy. Everypony always told her she was- her parent especially. But she considered herself more curious. Hopefully this knew pony wouldn't think she was obnoxious for being so, like several others always did in Manehattan.

N E O N S P L A S H She smiled at the filly. It seemed this filly is also a fellow artist. Maybe an artist of a different sort. This one seemed to put her thoughts on paper. Neon on the other hoof is one to create emotion though mixing colors together and painting them on wall or surface.
So "splatters" was her name. How cute! She admired the filly even more so now since she was talking to her. "It's wonderful to meet you, splatters! You can call me neon..." she wondered if her parents were painter ponies. In the back of her mind she was thinking of future competition. She pushed the thought away. Now was not the time for work. Now was the time to get to know other ponies.
She smiled and nodded at her, "I moved here a few weeks ago..." she nodded her head over to the direction her home was. "But I've been busy with getting my shop ready to open... It's a painters shop!" she smiled. She loved the thought of her own shop opening up soon. "How about you, splatters? How long have you been here?"

GingerSnap exited out of Sugar Cube Corner a box strapped across her back. A grin spread across her face as she felt the suns warmth start to heat up her pelt. Humming to herself she began trotted over one of he busier streets. She didn't feel like rushing back home to Hoofington just yet. Not on this glorious day.
"A market!" She exclaimed and hopped forward, she was glad this trip to Ponyville would be fruitful. She continuing to go forward taking in the sights sounds and smells. She was looking at a booth with different sorts of vegetables, when a brightly colored pony caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. It was an unusual color for a pony, it was very bright.
The brown mare saw her approach another filly engrossed into a drawing. Curiousity got the better of GingerSnap and cantered foward towards the two ponies. "Good Morning! How are we doing on this wonderfully warm day?!"

Splatters beamed at Neon. She always loved it when she met someone like her. Another painter- What fun! And she was new in town, opening up her own shop. That was what Splatterpaint wanted to do when she left her parents. She would go to art school, and when she graduated, she would open up her own shop. Maybe she would go to Fillydelphia, or Canterlot, or Trottingham, or Baltimare, or Appleloosa, or Dodge Junction, or Hoofington! (OOC: I had so much fun researching these cities XD) The possibilities were endless. Splatterpaint loved fantasizing about what she woul do when she could do whatever she wanted.
But, anyways... Splatters aimed her focus back on the present, and back to NeonSplash. "Wow, that sounds so cool! If you need a helping hoof with anything, I'd love to help out!" and in response to her question of how long she ha been there, "Actually, I've only been here a week." Suddenly, she realized- NeonSplash must have thought that she... well, her parents, mainly...would be competition. "I don't live here, though. Only visiting! My parents are doing some work here, you see..." she rapidly explained.
The arrival of another pony had come just a startling as the first. She turned her attention towards the new pony. This one was brown, with red and green hair. She looked very friendly. Splatterpaint grinned, "Good morning to you too, ma'am!" Splatter kept forgetting she didn't have to call others "Ma'am and Sir" here, like she did in Manehattan, "I'm doing great, thanks! And you?" She pushed her charcoal pencil to the farther side of her paper. It had been resting next to her hoof, but it didn't look like she was going to get any more sketching down at the moment. Not that she minded, of course.
