Name: Inkwell
Gender: Stallion
Age: Adult
Species: Pegasus
Pelt Color: Light gray
Mane/Tail Color & Style: Medium gray with black tips. Messy tail, neatly combed mane that falls over his right eye. (He doesn't bother trying to brush his tail; it's too much trouble and he has better things to do.)
Eye Color: Sapphire blue
Cutie Mark: An inkwell and quill pen
Residence: Manehattan
Occupation: Owner of a small ink shop.
Talents, Skills: His talent is making ink. He also loves to write, and is quite good at it. He writes short stories, mostly, but he's got a finished novel or two sitting around his house. He hasn't been published, but he's hoping to change that soon.
Likes: Chocolate, sunsets, writing, chocolate, reading (especially mysteries), chocolate, and did I mention chocolate?
Dislikes: Flying, unless absolutely necessary. He's not fond of heights, and one of his best friends was injured by lightning and can't fly anymore.
Character Personality: Mostly shy, quiet, and reserved. He's very protective of the few friends he has. He absolutely will not tolerate someone insulting a good friend of his, though if anyone insults him he'll ignore it.
Bio (optional): When Inkwell was barely more than a baby, he was left on the doorstep of an orphanage in Manehattan. He grew up there, only talking to the other children when he had to. He would sit in his room for hours and daydream. He discovered his love for writing when his teacher asked the class to write a short fictional story. He finished the story within a day, then spent the next few editing. He got a B on the project--the second best grade in the class. He was beaten out by a thin green mare, but he hardly cared. He had discovered an outlet and he was going to take it.
After that, he no longer daydreamed. Instead, he wrote. It wasn't until two years later that he discovered that his special talent was making ink, but that didn't discourage him in the slightest. He didn't even stop writing when he got his cutie mark.
Once he got his cutie mark, he started doing odd jobs around the neighborhood to earn money. He entered his short stories into contests in local magazines and newspapers. By the time he finished school, he had nearly three fourths of what he would need to start his own shop. He stayed at the orphanage until he had the full amount, then moved into the store. It was a small, two-story building. The bottom floor was meant to be the shop, where customers would browse his wares. The top floor (which was really the attic) was his living quarters. It was one big room, with some dividers that separated the kitchen, den, and bedroom from each other. That's where he's lived ever since.
