Character Personality: He's a very sharp pony, with a sharp tongue and attitude. He finds most ponies he meets he can get along with, but he's very picky about the company he keeps. He's yet to show real affection for anypony, except Doodle Splodge, whom he regards as akin to the 'daughter he never had'. Bio: Silver ripple was brought up in Canterlot, his parents being journalist ponies who write for 'Equestria Daily', Canterlot's biggest newspaper. In an attempt to push him into journalism they frequently took him into the office when he was a colt. However, he often wandered off into other parts of the building and one time he ended up in photographer's dark room entirely by accident. The old photographer, surprised by this young colt turning up in his darkroom, allowed him to watch him work as he was evidently interested, and Silver ended up spending most of his 'office' days in the darkroom with the old photographer. Several months went past and Silver gained the old pony's trust; One day he allowed Silver to use one of his precious cameras, taking him out to look over Canterlot from the roof of Equestria Daily's headquarters. There he taught him about the innate secrets of the photographer's craft; Light and shade, angles and perspectives of photo taking. The first photo Silver ever took was one of the sun rising over Canterlot, and in the instant of the camera click, light spread over his flank and the camera lens cutie mark appeared. With his parent's blessing, he went into freelance photography, and in the main square of Canterlot there he met Doodle, who was still quite young at this time. She was trying to paint the facade of one of the buildings, and he helped her, showing her how to watch the play of light on the old building and other small tricks. The two have been friends ever since, and they travel together, as a photographer and painter-for-hire.
