Soon the three were past the entry arch and in the palace proper. Immediately they came into a fork in the road, in which they headed forwards as agreed. In front of them spread a beautiful plaza surrounded by a flowery garden, the sunlight from the hole in the mountain shining on them pleasantly.
"Well ladies, I must admit I've never been in one of these places, so I'll do my best to try and figure out where we're going." He said.
"Graphite Sketch your'e a life saver, with your skill I hope to capture the beauty of the place, quite in fact, perhaps you can start a floor plan and plan our route? You sketched the building from outside yes? It can help determine where we are."

Graph followed her team, and was amazed by the structure itself, including all the decorations inside."I already have the outside of the building sketched out, its just a quick one that I can refine later." She said with confidence before pulling out a very large roll of paper.
"I brought this to make a map with. she explained, unrolling it from the bottom and quickly sketching out the entrance and the three paths."The other teams will just have to help me fill in the blank parts, or I can go myself once things are determined to be safe." she explained, not wanting to go into unexplored territory alone.

Nexus made sure to stay right near the front of the group as they trotted through the entry hall of the palace. She kept a sharp eye out for anything suspicious, like suits of armor arrayed in rows or warrens dug out by potentially hostile creatures. the three of them soon came to a fork in the path, which the spelunker was quick to scout out. Satisfied with her cursory scan, she went with the group straight through it.
"Don't know where we're going? Alright, cool," said Tunnel. She briefly inspected the plaza that she and the others were currently in. It was nice enough, she supposed. More importantly, she glanced at the map Graphite had drawn; it looked professional, at least, so that was good. "Map looks nice," she said.
Nexus looked around the room for any possible doors or passages, as well as possible danger signs. Graph and Hind could figure out well enough where they wanted to go. It was her job to make sure that they got there in one piece, and she would make sure to do just that.

Hind Sight admired the open plaza they were in, and the sunshine warming his coat. "Amazing isn't it? Over a thousand years ago this mountain was not even here, and now it's almost covering the entire structure, yet the garden is growing so wonderfully. It's just like being in a massive meadow..." He said, and as though his words were magical, when the three turned around they discovered they could no longer see the walls of the palace plaza. Only more and more grass and flowers leading on to infinity. The garden was definitely not that large when they came in. Something's changed.

Graph had started to roll up the large parchment when Tunnel spoke "Thanks, trying to make it as accurate as possible. Don't want anyone else who uses this to get lost from a foolish mistake I made." she said, grimacing at the thought of being always remembered as the foolish pony who drew the map wrong.
When the grass closed in around them, and thing started to feel not quite right Graph took a step towards Tunnel, her ears back. "Whats going on Hind Sight?" she asked, worry laced in her voice as she looked around.

"I have no idea!" He said, "The plaza wasn't this big was it?" He asked, moving in the direction they were heading, "It's like we're in a completely different place! I don't get it." He said, a bit of panic in his voice now. Looking around as he walked, but no walls appeared in the horizon.
"It must be some sort of trap, were we teleported? Was the environment changed?" He began to wonder.

Graph was feeling a little uncomfortable, her ears lying flap as she looked around with wide eyes. Fear started to trickle down her spine but she tamped it down and followed Hind Sight, not wanting to cave in a situation like this. 'What would Horizon think of me if I lost my head?'she thought to herself.
There where no walls in site and Graph was positive she had seen some when they first entered the place. "This is definitely not normal, what do you suggest we do Hind Sight?" she asked, keeping close to his side. She didn't want to get lost in this place and wander around in grass for the rest of her life.

"Alright, we apparently triggered some sort of trap, which seems to have either teleported us to here, or trapped us in a pseudo-dimension of an endless meadow." Hind Sight explained, "At least, I think that's what happened. Maybe it's just an illusion?" He started looking around, Tunnel seemed to have entered some form of shock and did not speak.
"Okay then, Graph it's up to you and me to work this out. If this is a pseudo-dimension of course, we're pretty much stuck unless we can find an exit. But if it's an illusion, we need to break the boundaries of it, do something or be somewhere the illusion can't process and it'll break."

Graph listened to Hind Sight intently, but her ears drooped a little."So, you think we should just keep walking till something happens?" Graph asked, looking around at the seemingly endless landscape around them.
She formed an image of them walking along and coming face first into a wall, or falling through some sort of curtain. She didn't voice these visions, she figured this situation was ten times more complicated than a little smoke and mirrors.
"I wonder who they where trying to keep out."

"Well if I had to guess I'd say that anyone that was not supposed to be here. Or anyone with a chaperon." Hind Sight said, "The Equites were very tight with their security." He thought deeply, how do they get out of this conundrum?
"Alright first to test whether or not it is an illusion, but how?" Hind Sight fell silently into thought, "The obvious solutions like digging or flying or using magic would be thought of. Perhaps jump-starting our minds? Yes but how?"
