Alo, appearing as if simply from the shadows themselves, had come close enough to the trio just in time to hear the one known as Diamond Point to shoot off a round of questions almost faster than one could follow. Giving a soft chuckle, the Earth Pony trotted over, giving a polite dip of his head. "Greetings." He said in his normal gentle and subdued tone. "Might I ask why we're interrogating this stranger?" Today, the navy blue furred being looked more mysterious than normal. Around his body was a black cloak with a hood to keep out the cold that was associated with winter. Other than that, he said and did nothing.

Huruma chuckled at the overly curious mare. She didn't think she would cause this much of a stir. "I come from a village near the border of the Zebra lands, a place I would prefer not to name. I have indeed walked far, but of the distance, do not fret. I am one for the journey, not the destination. I have been through another town in Equestria, Fillydelphia. It was made obvious I was...not wanted there. I decided to avoid Ponyville and go straight through the forest here, which I quickly learned was dangerous. I was lucky to stumble into town and find two kind ponies such as you." She glanced up at the new sound, turning to the new pony. "If this is an interrogation, then I fear for general conversation." She chuckled at her own joke, turning her attention back to the ponies she was currently engaged with.

Diamond cantered in place with excitement, this was just all too lucky. It wasn't everyday one got to meet a Zebra. Although she technically saw three now just this morning, but regardless!
"That's fantastic! And yes, welcome to Hoofington! I just arrived here myself this morning! Did I say that already? I hope not... Oh, you got to tell me about your homeland some time! Quill too! I bet he would love it! Wouldn't you? Of course you would!"
The hyper mare started up again, turning between the other two on the road with her as she talked to them. When a third showed himself, she jumped a bit, already being worked up, she turned her attention to the new comer.
"Oh! Hello there! Where did you creep up from? We're not interrogating, just have a friendly conversion! I'm Diamond Point, by the way." she smiled and extended a hoof to new earth pony.

Quillson nodded in time to Huruma's speaking, making sure to keep a mental note of the Zebra's experiences that she was relaying. "I'm sorry that things didn't turn out so well in Fillydelphia, I would have hoped better from ponies. And that is lucky of you though, to make it here through Everfree! The forest has grown increasingly dangerous as of recent. I do my best to go around it when I can, anymore."
He turned to face Diamond for a moment, at first to answer her question but ended up just smiling. He'd need to learn answering her own rapid questions was a habit of hers.
When the new arrival appeared nearby, Quillson took a step back to face the group as a whole, not wanting to leave anypony un-faced as he spoke. Waiting for Diamond to finish her introduction and excited remarks, Quillson eventually stepped forward to the Earth Pony outstretching his own foreleg.
"A pleasure to meet you. The name's Quillson Oatswrite." Nodding with a smile, Quill stepped back again at the end of his introduction with the pony. "It's quite the exciting morning, isn't it! So many new faces to get to know." He flashed his grin from pony to pony, wondering how he was going to find time to talk to everypony.

Giving a soft smile, Alo shook each offered hoof in turn. Dipping his head politely to each pony and then the zebra, the pony gave his tail a small flick. "My name is Alo. Nice to meet you all." He said softly. That was about all he was going to say for the moment. Instead, the steel blue Earth Pony turned his attention toward the Everfree Forest. Though no emotion could be seen on his face, the red and silvered maned being missed living in the forest. It had been peaceful, if still a little dark. Now however, it was just dangerous and sinister.

"Yes, I do consider myself lucky to have made it through the forest, for there were a number of times I was close to being lunch of another. I do believe I will go around it next time." Huruma said quietly as she turned to face the forest. "My stay in Hoofington should not be to long, I am here to study some of the local flora and fauna, as well as the local culture." She turned back and smiled to Quillson and Diamond, "I suppose you could call me a scholar of sorts, if that is the correct term."
She stole a glance at the newcomer, who had simply introduced themselves and stared into the forest. She had seen that look before, the sorrow of something lost. She had no words to offer to the pony, as she knew just how deadly the forest was, and didn't know what he had lost. "You have lost something to this forest, yes?"

Diamond sat down next to Quillson after shaking the pony who introduced himself as Alo. He seemed like the quiet and mysterious type. 'I bet he's got lots of fantastic secrets!' the mare thought to herself with a smirk. Turning her attention back to the Zebra, her smile continued as she listened, "Oooh! You're a teacher type? Well, I'm sure you're going to love your stay here while you study us!"

Quillson nodded to the pony who introduced himself as Alo, then turned back towards Huruma. He thought of proposing more questions to the new Zebra, but Diamond Point seemed to have already taken care of that. He decided to hold off for now, and chime in later if something he was interested in wasn't addressed.
She was a scholar? Here to study the plant life in the area. Interesting enough he supposed, though Quill had little personal attachment to plant life. He glanced down at Diamond who was sitting beside him at this point. She seemed just fine standing out in the street talking. He was too, to be honest. The more new faces the better.
Quillson turned to look at the newcomer, seeing if he was intending on joining the conversation at some point. He'd gone through the trouble of approaching and introducing himself, but then just kept back. He appeared to be looking at the forest, watching it perhaps. Quillson figured he was lost in thought, or remembering something of importance. He was just thinking about asking him a question, when Huruma spoke out.
Intently he listened, waiting for some sort of explanation over this Alo's demeanor.

Alo only came out of his daze of sorts when addressed to by Huruma. Blinking a couple times, it took a moment to realize what the question was. "My home." He replied after a moments pause. "I used to live in the forest itself. But with the infestation of who knows what, I have been forced out. That is why I am now taking up residence in Hoofington." Though his tone still held that calm, his face expressed simple longing for things to return to the way they had been. Yet the steel blue pony couldn't help but think that if he still lived in the forest, that he wouldn't have met any of these aquaintenses. To him, nothing happened for a reason.

Huruma frowned, stepping closer to Alo. "I am sorry to hear about your loss. A strangers sympathy is little, I know, but I hope one day you can return home." She shivered a bit as a cold breeze went by, turning back to Quillson and Diamond. "Did one of you two mention an inn? Might we continue our conversations there, and out of this cold?"

Diamond quietly sat by Quillson as the Huruma spoke to Alo, but hopped up when she turned towards them. "Yep! We did! We just came from the Inn, actually, and we don't have a reason to go to where we were going now, so we got lots of time to show you!" She spoke, while slowly walked backwards, hopping slightly, down the road and away from the group, willing them to follow.

Quillson listened as the other two ponies spoke, turning to face Diamond. If conversation was soon to come to an end, he figured they could just carry on. To where? Well... he wasn't sure, but it didn't matter. He was just looking forward to spending the time with somepony today.
When Huruma directed a question towards him and his new friend, Quill nodded towards the zebra pony. He stood, but was suddenly stopped as Diamond Point began hop/walking her way back down the road. Almost inadvertently he started to follow her, turning back to the others.
"We can take you straight to the inn. Hopefully the environment there will be more comfortable than here in the cold. " He grinned to the other two, waiting for them to follow.

Alo didn't mind the cold, but getting out of it wouldn't be that bad either. Watching the one called Diamond, he couldn't help but chuckle. Was she always that hyper? Giving a shrug, the Earth pony felt like getting in to some fun before they arrived. So using a hoof to get a ball of snow together, he managed to hurl it at the retreating figure of Diamond Point before following her and Quillson. This place is refreshing. I wonder what goes on here during the spring and summer months. Must be much more busy than now I suppose. Alo thought to himself as he strolled after the others.

Huruma walked away from Alo, heading towards Quillson and Diamond. "I hope the inn is warmer. I am still not accustomed to this frigid weather." She stopped as a snowball whizzed by her and flew towards Diamond, turning back towards Alo. She whipped her tail straight and cupped it into the snow, throwing a small wave of the frozen powder at Alo. She chuckled herself and ran to catch up with the others, not watching to see if her 'attack' hit or not.

This was unexpected. And foolish. I mean, really? She was looking right at them. She could see him picking up the snow. She could see him throwing it! But you know who couldn't see her? Quillson.
Diamond smirk as her horn lit up lightly, as she nudged the flying snowball with her magic, changing it's course just a tad, so now it was aimed at Quillson's face instead of her's. Her work done, she quickly turned around, giggling to herself and continued down the path towards the Inn.
