Ranger quickly yanked back on Corsair, pointing a hoof at roughly four forms, moving low and close to the ground. Prowling, advancing. Ferals, and they were too close for comfort. Ranger was quick to act, drawing a glow-stick from his pouch and snapping it, throwing it at the ferals. They had already been detected, stealth served no purpose now.
At that the four ferals charged, snarling and roaring at the group of soldiers. "Eagle Eyes!" Ranger called, moving quickly off to the side, and disappearing in the darkness.

"On it," Eagle Eyes replied in a tone quiet and casual that was nearly robotic in discipline. As the other two had begun to secure the room, she'd intelligently set up overwatch by staying near the wall. Having chosen an elevated position on one of the outcroppings, she had enough time to prepare a hasty position. Now prone and staring intently through the iron sights of her crossbow underneath the veil of her cape which covered her quite thoroughly in this posture, she adjusted her trajectory and led off the movement of the target posing the most immediate danger to the team.
.oO(Aim for the legs) she reminded herself in thought, and shifted her point to the rear flank of the beast. The crossbow's taut ride snapped and let fly an arrow once the sight was clean. Without waiting to see if she'd hit her target, she snapped her head to her shoulder to grab another bolt and quickly loaded it into place, regaining her sight picture for another shot.

All anxiety left immediately. FINALLY, Corsair thought impatiently. He hated the calm before the storm more than a weather pegasus hated the same occassion. It was better to have things run their course instead of drag them out. If a fight was fated, it should be finished fast. Some action! All this silence was making me sleepy, Corsair thought as he smirked.
Corsair was vaguely aware of Eagle Eyes' position as he began a gallop down the room. The twang of her crossbow and a bolt flying past him was a clue that she was somewhere behind him. He peaked over his shoulder but couldn't make out her location. That cloak was serving her well. He scanned the room quickly, but Ranger seemed to have disappeared as well. He sighed to himself.
"Fair enough," he said with a querulous intonation. He stopped his forward march and watched the ferals. They really had only one visible target now: Corsair. "Lets get this over with," he said to the beasts, not really expecting comprehension or reply.
He turned his side toward them and raised his wings to shield his body, crouching down and preparing to dodge. He imagined a parry would do nothing short of rip one of his wings off. He shuddered to think how a pegasus could live with only one wing.

Eagle Eye's bolt flew straight past Corsair, striking one of the ferals straight in the femoral artery, knocking him into a roll. With the loss of his hind leg, he would be left out of the battle for the next few moments. Allowing Corsair to deal with the others.
One of the ferals was about to pounce, but as soon as it crouched, it was intercepted, seemingly out of nowhere by ranger. Wrapping a burlap fabric around its head, and using its weight against it, rolling it to its back, leaving its heart open for Eagle Eyes, should she take the shot. Ranger wasn't strong for an earth pony, or even a pegasus, he couldn't hold for long. Eagle Eyes had better take that shot.
At that one of the ferals pounced, lightning fast, latching on to Corsair's wing and dragging him out of balance, the other however, miscalculated his jump and ended up sliding off and away from them, hurting itself on the floor.

Eagle Eyes took her eye off of her sight picture only for the moment to look to her left and right, scanning her defensive zones since her back was against the wall. At least she didn't have the worry of anything coming from behind. As quickly as it took her to glance, her vision was back on the sights and scanning her field of fire. Ranger's zone was the first she scanned and, watching him tussle with one of the ferals, waited for a clear shot before she pushed the trigger button and let another bolt fly. Without waiting to see where she hit, she snapped her head back to grab another arrow and throw it in the chamber, locking it into place, only to feel the thrum of a feral land on the floor far too close to her position.
A secondary glance before being able to see where her last shot hit, she watched Corsair come under assault. Hunkering down as low as she could get to her platform, all she could do for the moment was hope her camouflage was effective against the nearby beast as she zeroed in on the other feral attacking the pegasus.

"GAH!" Corsair let out a short cry as he was dragged by the wing and toppled over. He was afraid it would rip at the hinge of his armor and the ball-socket joint of his bones. He did his best to tumble so that his wing stayed perspectively aligned like it should. He felt a jolt of pain under the stress on the appendage and grinded his teeth together.
Using every bit of leverage his weak position offered, he shot out his back legs in a buck toward the feral's chin, hoping to remove it from his wing.
