Gilda’s beak hung open, she’d been had, totally had. She sheepishly and dumbfounded landed with a less than grateful thud. Her eyes were narrowed and she furled her brow as she stepped forward. ”Oh very funny, you jerk.” She snarled and if it weren’t for that armor, she would have punched Starling right in the ribs. Then in a sudden turn, Gilda broke into a laughter. She was utterly tickled by the prank. ”Ok, I admit, that was pretty good. Ya got me, bravo.” She clapped, deep long slaps of her talons. ”Didn’t know you had it in you, I’m impressed – though I might of whooped your flank, you dewb!” Indigently raising her beak, ”I mean, I bought it for like a second, at most.” She was becoming increasingly awkward, scratching her head feathers. ”I do like a good prank, how’d ya know? My heart is still going; alright, well let’s bolt before you get anymore wise ideas.”

Starling wrapped a hoof around her in a tight hug, "And you thought I was too uptight." he said, smooching her before letting go and laughing all the way out of the house. "You don't really need anything for a scare prank other than the power of suggestion." He said, "Works like a charm every time. You tell a spooky story and it gets inside their heads, that's when you pounce like an angry manticore."
"Of course, that specific prank needed a bit of build up, but it was certainly effective."

Gilda rolled her eyes as she slipped into the hug, ”Well, sometimes that can be a good thing.” When Starling laid one on her, her checks erupted in warm fire. If she could show blush through her feathers, it would be bright and glowing. She rubbed her check, feeling giddy with the soft flutter of butterflies in her stomach. ”Yeah, yeah, I’ll remember that. Next time, you’re mine, not going to let this go.” She devilishly smirked then affectingly rubbed her beak against his armored neck.
When the hug broke, Gilda, still feeling flustered, shot Starling coy eyes. ”We don’t have to go yet. It’s nice to find a pony who gets me for once, if you know what I mean.” She lightly licked her beak and leaned into Starling. ”Starting to get a little hungry so perhaps we can order to go? I’d hate to miss out on any more ‘build up’ and ‘pouncing’ you have stored up.”

"Heh, can't say no to take out." Starling said with a wink, "The dining room here is pretty fancy let me tell you. I especially like the shaggy carpet." He admitted, leading her to said room. The room was wide and long, with a long stretch of carpet from one end to the other, in the middle a dining table, surprisingly enough only big for about six ponies or so. Not what you'd expect from such a huge towering mansion. "See? A good place to eat as any." Starling said.
