Even after the attackers were gone, Ivory didn't want to stop. She found her legs tried moving without her, even when she tried to stop, which resulted in her toppling face first into Starling's embrace, tears errupting from her eyes as the second wave of realization of what had just happened rushed in on her. She cried hysterically, still quite terrified. She had NEVER been in an experience even one iota that scary her whole life.
And that was the birth of her phobia of all things dead or undead.
At his cooing and attempts to calm her, Ivory found she could not. Not entirely, anyway. She continued to cry, gasping and shuddering with each attempt to stop herself, body still glowing as her power tried activating its self again.
Right when he went to inspect her injured legs, her horn began to spark again, and her body faded in and out of visibility; Like a fluttering, as if someone was playing with a light switch. On, off. On, off. She couldn't control it, let alone was she aware it was even happening!
"I want to go home, I want to go home! Oh please--" She pleaded, shaking her head frantically.

Starling gave her a comforting look, and quickly bent down, shoving her up on his back. "Alright, I'll take you home. They won't hurt you, I promise. They weren't even looking for you." He said, beginning to turn down the road towards Ponyville, "And they never come out of Everfree without a reason. But we'll get them all soon, don't you worry about it."
Deciding it would be best to change the subject, Starling said, "Also when you go invisible, try to make it so your cutiemark does too. Seeing it floating in the middle of the air is going to get you spotted."

After being shoved up onto his back, a wave of guilt washed over her. She could walk on her own, and she knew it; She didn't want Starling carrying her, if he wasn't in top shape yet. For this reason she squirmed briefly, only pausing when he made mention of invisibility.
"W-W--" She stammered, sniffling and speaking between hiccups of tears, "W-What are you t-talking about?" She asked, "I'm a b-blank flank! I have been s-since I was a f-filly.. I was t-too embarrassed to t-tell you!" She explained through fearful stutters, craning her neck to peer at her once-again blank flank, "S-See?"

Starling took a look at her flank, eyes narrowing. "No, I saw a cutie mark on there." He said poking it. "It was clear and crystal. When you went invisible it was floating up there like a lighthouse. I'm telling you."
He poked it again, "It's gotta be there try going invisible again."

"But I--" Ivory paused, panting a bit as she felt her chest tighten, eyes squeezing out a few more tears as she shook.
"I don--" She sniffled, wiping at her eyes, "I don't h-have-- I can't t-turn invisible, S-Starling! I never got my c-cutie mark, so I never got a s-special t-talent like that." She insisted, staring longingly at her own flank, as if expecting his statement to come true.
It didn't.

"What do you mean you can't turn invisible, you turned yourself invisible and I had to feel up your flank so I could see how I could punch the son of a dog in the face." Starling said, "Do it, turn invisible!" He demanded, dropping her to the ground now.
"It was a silhouette of a pony." Starling insisted, "I swear. Why would I lie?" He insisted. "Trust me, I saw it, maybe it's just too bright to see against your fur... an albino cutie mark with no pigments? I dunno."

"AH!" Ivory Flash squeaked as she was dropped, curling into a ball, shuddering, as now it seemed like Starling was turning on her. She wasn't truly afraid of him, but the adrenaline of what had just happened was still pulsing through her veins, making her emotions swell much more than they should have been.
"I can't! I don't know-- I don't know!" She cried.
CRACK!
Her horn gave a sharp cracking sound, and began to spark once again as her cutie mark appeared, flickering like a trashy neon light as she began to turn invisible once again from her horn down.
Ivory Flash opened her eyes just soon enough to catch her hooves vanishing from view--
And she was out.
Fainted.
Without another word, she fainted from shock and pressure, horn dying down as her invisibility faded, leaving the unconscious mare laying in the dust.
