A clear blue sky.
A pegasus was leaving the Royal Palace, carrying two big brown bags on his back; there's always a lot of things to take with you when you leave the Royal Guard: armor, books, clothes, mission rewards, training equipment, etc. He wasn't a quick flyer, it took him a while before arriving in the elegant city of Cloudsdale.
Upon seeing his new home, Rocket Silver softly landed in the front of the Cloudiseum. A big smile appeared on his face, looking around him pegasus walking or flying by, the rivers of rainbow, the weather-making factories. He took a happy deep breath, and saying to himself with a british accent: "This is so... beautiful. So much to see and do, but I must find a new home. So, where should I go?
He looked around him, lost and uncertain. Rocket didn't had the opportunity to visit Cloudsdale a lot of times, his missions would always lead him to earth pony cities or far away from pony civilization.

There was a small patch of clouds where the pegasi weren't grouping around. Cosmos thought her best bet was to land there. Her wings concaved to catch air as she tried to land as she did many times before. Almost there, hang on... she reminded herself as she practised her landing techniques. What she did was start from a high up place, pick a patch of cloud, and then land towards it so she didn't end up bruised. Today was a lucky success, she didn't crash. She let her aching wings rest, nestled across her body and shook her head.
It just so happened that she managed to catch Rocket Silver in her view upon reforming it. The poor guy looked new and wasn't sure where to go next. Somewhat intrigued, she approached him boldly, as if she was announcing something to the general public.
"Hello there good sir, you seem like a new pony around these parts!" Cosmos brimmed ecstatically. "Where you from? Did you just get here? You look pretty dang awesome from what I can see!" She then backed up slightly after realising how much she was prodding Rocket for a response. Whoa, girl. You might be scaring the new guy.

(OOC: I'm going to assume that Sky knows Shinging by now)
Sky Rocket flew by the Cloudiseum, thinking about how much he needed to train for the Best Young Flyers competition. He then saw two ponies of interest, one he knew and one he had never seen before. He flew down, landing in front of the two. "Hi Shinging! Nice to see you again. Oh, and hello to you too. You look like you just flew in. The name's Sky Rocket, epic stunt pony! What's your name?"

The tall and muscular former guard turned his half-closed yellow eyes slowly around and looked down to see two friendly pegasus, his smile became wider and answered with a deep voice:
"Why hello there! I am indeed new in Cloudsdale, and I just arrived here a few minutes ago. I'm looking for a residence, do you know where I can find one?
The wind was gently blowing his black and iron colored mane as he was looking Shining Cosmos and Sky Rocket from head to toe.
"I'm Rocket Silver, I used to be part of Princess Celestia's royal guard, and now I'm looking for a new home to start my new life
He was delighted to finally meet polite and kind pegasus, unlike some members of the Royal Guard...

((Yup Sky, fair assumption))
Cosmos' eyes widened. Someone of such calibre had been kicked out and forced to move to Cloudsdale, or maybe he just retired? The one thing she remembered about the princess was the royal guards that stood in her castle around her. Though with a foggy memory about it, she couldn't quite remember if there were royal guards or not. Regardless, Rocket was living proof that they existed, and thought she should treat him with worship.
With a gulp, she bowed down and looked up at him. "Oh gracious gentlecolt, there will most certaintly be a home here for someone as grand as you are!" she spoke graciously, not borthering to look Rocket Silver in the eye. However, she looked at her friend Sky Rocket with one eye, and then nudged him with her elbow. "Bow. He's one of Celestia's guards," she whispered quietly to him.

Sky was starstruck when Rocket Silver said he was formerly of Princess Celestia's Royal Guard. It seemed that it was every pegasus's dream growing up in Cloudsdale was to be either a Wonderbolt or a member of the Royal Guard. Yet Sky kept his composure, not wanting to seem like a squealing fan foal.
He then realized from Shinging Cosmos that Sky had forgotten the proper ettiquette of bowing. Did he need to bow to a former Royal Guard? Better be safe that sorry.
"Heh," Sky said in embarrassment as he bowed, "I'm sorry. It's not like I see a Royal Guard everyday in Cloudsdale. It is an honor to meet to you."

Rocket's eyes snapped wide open, looking at the two welcomers in a very surprised way, loosing his smile.
The smile returned with a friendly chuckle as he replied:
"Oh please no, there's no need to bow, my friends!I'm not part of the royal family, no no! I'm just a pegasus like you two, and being a former member of the royal guard who decided to leave by his own will and Princess Celestia's permission doesn't make me any different from both of you."
He invited them to rise, while still chuckling.
"If I decided to leave the royal guard, it's because I want to live something more... well, joyful! I mean how can you enjoy life if you have to risk it everyday for duty?"
"Anyway, it's a huge pleasure to meet you two. Now that you're here, can you help me finding a place where I can live, in Cloudsdale? I don't want to hold you back if you have already something to do right now.
His eyes were once again half-closed with a calm smile.

Somewhat abashed from the embarrassment of unneccessarily bowing and the fact that she was training all morning so she could get used to space travel, Cosmos quickly darted up, standing as tall as she could. She tried her best to wipe off the flustered grin off her face, somewhat succeeding.
"No, I just finished doing what I had to do, sir! Well, I'm not a real estate agent or anything, in fact, far from it, but I think that a tour around Cloudsdale is in order! You know, before you settle in, you should at least know the town like the back of your hoof," Cosmos offered as a piece of advice, holding out her own hoof as a demonstration, mockingly pointing out certain areas on her hoof silently.
And upon remembering common courtesy, the blue mare placed her hoof down. "But before we go anywhere, I think it's time to introduce ourselves. My name is Shining Cosmos, but everyone calls me Cosmos," she nodded, hoping that Sky would follow.

"So nice to meet you, Cosmos. And please, do call me Rocket! I think taking a tour in Cloudsdale will be a brilliant idea. Even if it has to take more than an hour, it won't be a problem at all, even with those two bags."
He pointed the two big brown bags hanging from each sides, under his large wings, with the tip of his nose.
"I feel like doing the basic exercise when you start your military training: walking, or flying in my case, long miles with heavy packages.
He laughed quietly and briefly. He could smile for hours when he's talking with new ponies.
"May I ask what is your profession, Cosmos? I'm curious."

(Um Rocket, I think you skipped me, but if you want to post gain after me, the posting order should be back to normal woth You-Shinging-and Me)
"Well there are several places in Cloudsdaledepending on where you want to live. Some are in the shopping area, some are by the Rainbow Pools, some are by the Stadium. There are many choices. I agree with Shinging that you should get a sense of the city , and if any place sparks your attention, that that can be where you live. Oh, and I think that I introduced myself before, but just in case my name's Sky Rocket, but you can call me just Sky."

Cosmos smiled at Sky when he took over most of the conversation for her. She barely spent enough time in Cloudsdale as it is, for she was sometimes in Ponyville, sometimes she was in the sky and beyond. She was glad that there was someone who knew every little thing about the town.
To answer Rocket's question about her profession: "Sometimes, I do a few odd jobs around the city, but they're just to pay for my hobby, which is flying into the sky and studying it. I'm a one-pony-astronaut, if you will."

Rocket nodded at Cosmos' answer with a smile.
"Interesting! Now that I know what both of you do for a living, let's start that little tour in Cloudsdale, shall we? Where should we start?"
He was very looking forward to start visiting like a little filly that wants to go at a party.

Cosmos stretched out her wings for a sec and started flying for a bit. "Sky, what do you think is the best thing to see first? How about the stadium? Or maybe where you can go for a nice meal? I'm not really sure what's the best thing for our royal friend to see," she asked Sky Rocket, but not in a condescending manner. The best idea wasn't to fly off and leave Sky and Rocket there.
She never was used to introducing ponies to her town before, even if she knew it backward and forward. She just instinctively guessed they could work it out on their own, so the idea of being a tour guide was somewhat foreign to her. She didn't want to back down though. It was better to help him out.

"Hmmm... what to see first?" Granted Cloudsdale was not nearly as big as Canterlot, but there were still many things to see. "Well I suppose that we can start at the stadium since it's right here. What do you think Rocket? After all, you're new here."
