She smiled warmly at Percheron's pleasant comment. It was good to know something positive came out of her failure in Ponyville. She also liked Percheron already, his qualities were ones that Trixie liked, but she said nothing of it.
"So.. ah." She started to talk when Watermark danced right through their conversation, and continued on, still singing and dancing, Trixie looked over to him, then back to Percheron. "Do you have any idea whats with Watermark?"

"Oh so as soon as a colt lets out his inner singer, there is something with him?" The striped unicorn protested, "I'll have you know that there is never, ever an excuse not to show your inner fabulousness! Just ask that water serpent in Everfree! He'll tell you!" The unicorn said, pointing off in what appeared to be a random direction, but quite in fact was the direction of Everfree Forest.
Getting back to business at hand, Watermark turned to the Pegasus, "Anyway, Percheron is there anything else you need? My new student has much work to do, I myself still have to work on deciphering the tablet."
The sudden switch between the business-like Watermark and the singing Watermark was incredibly sharp, completely unexpected. It did not come to pass only in his tone or wording, but also in his entire presence. While he was singing, Trixie could feel the energetic young Watermark she had first met outside her trailer, but at the moment he was neither that, nor the wise master she had just realized him to be.
It was as though he was someone else, a harsh, diligent taskmaster, with a very commanding presence, much like Percheron's own. A persona he used perhaps when he had dealings with the Pegasus commander? Whichever it was, the sudden changes in the colt were rather intimidating to behold.

'Fabulous...Water...Serpent?'Trixie thought to herself, shook her head in surprise and blinked a few times. Once again she was doubting that this was actually Watermark. Since that seemed rather impossible, she decided to go with the fact that he was very good at changing his character in the blink of an eye.
She gave Percheron another hoof-shake. "Nice to meet you once again, but I do have much work to do. Hope to see you around." She smiled and let go, then turned her attention back to Watermark.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. It's just not terribly common for a pony to have such a split personality, you know?" She frowned as she said this, meaning no harm but still expecting some sort of negative response.

The Pegasus took to the air once more with a beat of his wings, resigning to go take care of some of his own duties in the meanwhile.
"No, Watermark, nothing, just wanted to meet our newest member. I like meeting ponies who have some guts. Make me think there's still some hope for this realm."
With a smile he then responded to Trixie, "I hope you enjoy your stay with us as much as possible, and don't let Watermark drive you mad, he... sometimes makes me question reality." and with that, the Pegasus stallion took off, disappearing into another section of the headquarters.

"Split personality?" The unicorn asked, befuddled by the statement. "Whatever do you mean? I am Watermark, you understood that, didn't you? I mean, here, lemme take off my cloak." He did as he said, "See? Same pony, right here, I brought you here, remember?" He put his cloak back on, "I'll send some memory exercises to your room later on, you'll need them if you're going to memorize spells."

Trixie put a hoof to her face. Contemplating whether or not to explain to Watermark what she meant, but she decided against it, figuring it would end up not much better than the current situation.
"Memory tests?" She asked Watermark. "What kind of material must Trixie memorize?" She rolled her eyes with the question, figuring that learning spells directly would turn out better than memorizing whatever it was that Watermark had in mind. Also, she wasn't terribly good in school, and hated memorization of anything else than magic or show lines.

"Spells you silly filly!" Watermark said, "The more spells you remember, the more surprises you have in your sleeve. And that's one of the most important things for performance magic!" Watermark cracked his neck muscles a bit before turning round.
"Everything you'll need, including a basic spell-book and an exercise program, are in your hut, which is that one." He pointed over at a nearby hut, with a large T at the entrance, "Currently you have no roomies, but that might change so take that into account. Also, you'll have to go out and do some research." He said, "Everything you need is, and I say again since your memory is a bit fragmented, it seems, in your hut." At that, the colt began walking off as simple as that, no explanations offered.
She noticed the watery creatures were still running about working, interesting little things. One pushed against her hoof to get her to go into her hut.

She noticed the small entity pushing against her hoof, and then looked back up for Watermark, who had now disappeared. The fact that he could keep these creatures intact even when he wasn't in the area was astounding, that is, if they were controlled by him. She followed the little one's instruction and headed to her hut. The T at the entrance didn't seem hastily tacked on, however, it was expertly crafted and placed, as if the members of the cult had known she would sign up. She walked inside the nicely sized hut, there were four bunks, a bathroom, and a small living area with two chairs, a sofa, and a small table. On the bottom bunk of one of the beds were, as Watermark had indicated, the spell books and a short exercise plan. She looked at the plan, and noticed it had her name stamped on the top, which meant it was custom made for her and her only. She tossed the plan back onto the bed next to the books, deciding to thoroughly look it over later. Trixie took off her large wizard hat and robe, and tossed them onto the bed aswell. A small piece of paper caught her eye, sticking out of the robe's inside pocket. She went to pick it up, and realized it was the picture of Twilight, smiling back at her with Spike, her small dragon assistant, on her back. Trixie frowned, not out of anger but out of sadness. She could have been such good friends with Twilight, but she messed that up royally. She took the small photo and stuck it partway under the slats of the bunk above her, so that she had a place to put it, away from the other ponies and her possible room mates. She wanted to keep it hidden, though, because she had no idea if the cult even knew about Twilight or what they thought of her.
