Ace stared at Percheron for a few moments before nodding, crossing the distance between them, and then mounting the Pegasus. Throughout the act of climbing atop Percheron, Ace was careful not to cause additional harm to his injured side which slowed him considerably. While the unicorn wasn’t fully comfortable with accepting this favor, Percheron’s willing attitude went a long way toward easing his worries. Ace made a promise to himself that he would repay Percheron and the first thing that came to his mind was to develop his combat skills. The fight with the infantile manticore taught Ace that he could not match others on a physical level; rather he would have to defeat his opponents with strategy. He let out a sigh, steeling himself for the mentally and emotionally taxing journey ahead.

Percheron allowed him to climb easily, and adjusted him on his back so they were both comfortable, before shaking his head slowly, stopping himself from laughing, and taking off. He carried Ace quite easily; after all he had been in many search and rescue missions as a member of the Stars, and those he did wearing armor, so what was a single unicorn when he was without?
He took off, but stayed close to the ground, deciding to take the longer route around Everfree, so as to not be followed, this way, even the pesky ponies from Ponyville would not be able to guess where he was heading.
He could only hope Ace was up to joining the cult. It would be truly a shame if he decided against it in the end. But that choice was reserved to him and him alone. Percheron believed he would see the truth and join their struggle. He couldn't do much more than that, believe.
