"Oh I've been t'Apploosa! Had a delivery there just a couple weeks ago! And boy did I get a good ol' Apple Family welcome! Pies and tarts and fritters as much as I could stuff my tummy with!" Firebrand reminisced, "I never felt fuller than I did that evening. They were even kind enough to offer me a ride back, but I had to lose the excess weight, ya know what I mean?" Firebrand laughed, finishing up her treats and going straight back to work. "Now to fix this here mess!"

Throwing her head back and laughing, Applejack grinned at Selenia. "Awh no, sugahcube, they become con-neigh-surs o'the finest apple treats App'loosa has t'offer!" Taking a bite of her own fritter and licking her lips, the mare smiled easily at the unicorn. "Why, ah ain't ne'er seen Buffalo so keen on dem apples as those guys!"
Turning her attention to the little orange pony, she smiled. "An Apple fam'ly welcome's th'best welcome yer ever gonn' get!" Whickering happily and pushing more fritters and a small tart or two towards the other mares, Applejack cocked her head. "Now, why don't y'take these here samples when you're done, Ah'm not gonn' take no f'r an answer!"
Turning back to face the messy orchard, her ears drooped and her whole body sagged. "Well, yer right Firebrand, we best 'ad, if Ah wanna get this bit cleared by t'night!" Hoofing at a bruised apple, the mare looked disappointed when she felt the 'squish'. "Them darned weather ponies, ruinin' mah crops."

"Well, that's good to know the Bison and Appleloosans are able to get along soundly." Selenia took the foodstuffs with a smile, and put them to rest on a bench nearby. She then walked back to AJ with a determined look oh her face. "So... Where do we start with this cleanup?" She looked around at the scattered debris, trying to choose a starting point to cull this mess from. And only after seeing that the mess was literally everywhere on the orchard did she realize what a daunting task it really was.

Firebrand continued her work, not paying much mind to distractions, she decided to go from one edge to the other, griding out the area in her mind, determining the shortest routes from each point, before finding the most effective course to collect branches in. She wasn't an express mail pony for nothing!
At that, she was quick to fill in the other two, explaining to them how to best get it done, and when she finished, she said, "If we do it this way, we should be done in HALF the time!"

"They sure are! Even after tha' darn problem with th'apple trees an' the bison." She crunched an apple from the ground as she stared out at the devastation caused by the storm, pondering... Until the fiery messenger pony explained her plan, Applejack nodding solemnly. "Yeah! Now, Selenia, why don'tcha go get the fallen apples, collect 'em intah one big pile. Ah can sort 'em later!"
Turning her head from where she had been adressing the unicorn, she fixed her gaze on the clever pony who'd planned this method out. "An' you get them fallen leaves again. And twigs. You ponies leave them big branches t'me!" Rearing upwards, a determined glint in her eyes, the cowfilly grinned. "Let's get t'work!"

"Okay, apples... Apples..." Selenia continued to repeat this word while devising a way to collect said apples efficiently into one big pile.
"Aha!" her mind struck gold and her horn glowed softly, levitating a small amount of apples around her and stacking them neatly in a pyramid. Selenia grinned at her cleverness.
"This should work perfectly." She contently smiled to herself as she trotted along among the trees, enchanting the apples so they floated over to the growing pyramid and were stacked up neatly.

Firebrand worked tirelessly, finishing one stretch after another, hop two three, hop two three. Yup, she was mowing down work as though it was a walk in the park. Her speed and determination were unchallenged by the twigs and leaves scattered around the orchard.

Wagon, wandered up to Sweet Apple Acres. He had done his research before heading to Ponyville. Sweet Apple Acres was by far the biggest working farm in the surrounding area. He was confident that a farm of it's size could provide him plenty of work with their carts, ploughs and other tools requiring regular maintenance. His heart sank though as he approached and saw what appeared to be a destroyed field in disrepair.
He decided to have a closer look to be safe, perhaps the scene was just a field they didn't use much, he doubted it but it was worth a look as business had been slow so far.
As he reached the top of a hill he saw the group of ponies hard at work setting the orchard right, he sighed a deep breath of relief before heading in their direction.
"Good afternoon" he called out as he approached, "May I ask who is in charge around here?"

Occasionally, Applejack wished she could do what unicorns could. Watching Selenia's ease with which she gathered apples was, for a good instance to her, a great use of unicorn magic, and one she could certainly use! But, then again, unicorns just didn't have the ability a good old Earth Pony had when it came to growing things. And she did love her apple trees like they were her own foals. She wouldn't trade that for easy apple picking! Even still, she can't help but comment to Selenia, "Gee, havin' that magic sure makes apple pickin' easy, don't it?" all with a cheerful grin on her face, remaining optimistic despite the damage, her head canted upwards slightly as she surveyed the trees once more, before looking back down at a large limb that had come down. "Applesauce," she murmurs, though still tries to look optimistic. It's quite an impressive feat, but just like she doesn't like letting ponies down, she also doesn't like to bring them down.
Lowering her body, she thumped a shoulder against the limb, leaning her weight into it to start shoving it out of the orchard. A normal walk becomes quite an effort when one is pushing a limb that weighs nearly the same as oneself! But Applejack is a work pony of power, and stubbornness, and thus the limb yielded to her efforts to shift it, sliding across the ground with a shuffling of leaves against grass. "Good goin' there!" she shouted to Firebrand, noting the zealousness and speed of the other earth pony, before giving another heavy shove against the limb, gaining several more feet of movement, before she ceases, her ears picking up another voice from the crowd, straightening up once more before seeking out the origin.
"Oh, howdy, there!" greeted the orange work pony, shaking her head once, sending a spray of sweat off to the side, her hat miraculously stable upon her head, her bobbed mane flipping over one of her shoulders as she looked towards the newcomer brown pony, tail swishing behind her a couple of times. "Ah'm th'one in charge!" she continued, closing the distance with the brown pony to meet halfway out, jutting out a forehoof in an offer of a hoofshake. "Name's Applejack, nice t'meetcha!" Good old welcoming Southern greetings.

For a split second, a rainbow colored contrail was visible between two of the orchard's shaken up trees. Rainbow Dash slowly peeked out of her hideout. Nopony had seen her yet, good. That was the best part about scheduled storms in Ponyville. AJ's Sweet Apple Acres always dropped tons of fresh apples from the strong wind, and somepony had to help her pick them all up, and then just maybe some of them slipped into that fortunate pony's mouth. Accidentally, of course. "Act natural now." Rainbow Dash murmured to herself as she jumped out from behind the tree and trotted towards AJ. Hmm, she has guests... Oh well, there's enough apples for everypony.

BashfulOnyx spotted Rainbow Dash, her pony hero. "Rainbow Dash!" she said in her tomboyish voice of hers. She quickly flew over to her. "You are my hero!" she said happily. "I guess you are busy....are you? Need help with anything?" he said calming down. "Oh! Sorry, I'm BashfulOnyx. You can just call me Onyx, please?" She said stretched out her wings then bringing them back in. Onyx smiled and flipped her silver bang from her eye.

"Oh, uh, hi... I guess... Onyx?" Rainbow Dash's head turned back and forth between AJ, who had just noticed her, and the dark grey pegasus. Who would've thought I have this many fans? First Scootaloo, now this Onyx mare. For just a second, her facade of a helpful neighbor slipped away, but she was quick to put on her best smile again. "Well I guess you could help me help AJ. Poor mare had her orchard all shaken up in last night's storm, by the looks of it." She replied, walking up to the orange earth pony. "Hi, AJ. How's it going?"

Wagon walked forward taking the Orange ponies Hoof into a confident shake,
"Hi, my names Wagon. I was just swinging by to say I have just moved into town and setting up shop, I..." He trailed off a bit looking around. He turned back to Applejack. "Wowee, it sure looks like there has been a bad storm here. I was going to say I do wagon and equipment repairs but right now it looks like you have bigger problems." He thought for a second before continuing. "Say, I don't know too much about farming stuff but I can sure move heavy stuff." He flexed his muscles a bit. "Kinda get used to it lifting carts all day and whatnot. Would you like some help shifting these branches? Oh and if you need anything repaired please ask, im sure we can work out something if the bits are a bit tight this year."
Wagon heard a voice from behind him and saw that two pegasus had arrived, he smiled making way as it became apparent that at least one of them knew Applejack.
