Ace had to admit that Golden Light was hard to hear, his voice lacking the standard confidence that most beings, including Sylvia, had.
"Yesterday, huh?" Ace asked the foal. "I'm guessing you haven't made too many friends yet... Well, I would be happy to be counted among one of your first. The same goes to you, Sylvia. It's rare that three beings, all new to a big city, gather together like this. Perhaps we should venture onward together?" Ace's smile stretched from ear to ear, his tone hopeful as he questioned the duo.

Sylvia smiled down at the two ponies. At least they weren't running away from her. They seemed to be giving her a chance. They also seemed to be less serious than most of the beings she had met so far. The griffons, the other pony families, they all seemed so uptight thanks to the war and the trouble brewing. Perhaps she could use a bit of lighthearted fun.
"Exploring seems good to me." The teen dragon said with a smile as she looked down at Golden Light, "If that's alright with you. I promise nothing bad will happen to you as long as your with me." She bowed her head, "Besides, I enjoy learning about your kind. Ponies are so fascinating, but I don't know anything about you."

Golden Light merely nodded a yes to the arriving yesterday thing, he hadn't been outside much when they arrived. Busy with unpacking and all. Course what soon came caused the young pony's ears to perk and his ruby eyes to a bit wide. What?
"B...but you don't know anything about me....I...I thought you had to ge...get to know someone to be...considered...friends?" Golden Light asked.
Was that something he always misunderstood? You could just say we can be friends and that was how it worked? The poor youngster tried to wrap his mind around it quickly but he soon saw that he wasn't going to be able to think fast enough. Considering he was pulled back into the conversation.
"I..It's f..fine by me." Golden Light replied.

Ace grinned at them both.
"We can learn more about each ither while we look around... I'll start; my favorite color is light blue. What's yours?"

Sylvia raised a brow at the little foal's statement. She never really had any 'friends' before either. Was it really so easy? Her head turned to Ace and she frowned in thought, "I'm partial to many different colors. Blues, purples, and greens mainly. I found a cave once that had so many gemstones they gleamed all colors of the rainbow. I could stare at them for hours. My father actually had to drag me out." She let out a low laugh and turned to Golden Light, "How about you, little one?"

Favorite color? A bit of a hard choice really. All colors looked fine though which one stood out the most to him? Listening to Sylvia give her answer, his ears twitched as he stood there. A cave of gemstones? He never saw that before, sure he saw gems themselves but not a cave filled with em. It was no doubt breath taking for anyone there. Course it was soon his turn to share and his ears slanted a bit as he tried to figure it out quickly.
"um....g...gold, j...just the shade of it." Golden Light answered finally.
The same color as his mane and tail, course he didn't really care about how his mane looked. The golden strands that created his mane in the messy fashion it was, was just how he liked it. If he had to have it straight he'd pretty much glare daggers at his own reflection. Course the gold color of it used to cause him to stare at it when he was a little foal.

Ace chuckled.
"See, we're getting to know each other a little more already... Say, let's walk and talk, so that we can keep an eye out for anything interesting..."
He signaled to the path ahead, a street surprisingly clear of ponies.
"Your turn, Sylvia. Ask us a question."

Sylvia stood up on all fours and began walking with the two ponies, the flier and the young one, "Um, well...What's your favorite thing to do? I like flying myself, especially now that I got out of that cramped cave. I'm always afraid of being cooped up again. I have no idea how my fellow dragons can handle sleeping in caves most of their lives. It's so boring." She made a face, almost like a sneer, her razor sharp teeth revealed beneath her scaly lips.

Golden Light followed along, npt really drawing behind them but he was keeping pace. They were getting to know eachother, starting with basics pr the simple thimgs. Flight made sense, birds could it along with insects but not many other creatures could.
"Reading, I like to read books and such. It's...it''s really fun course most don't see it that way." Golden Light replied.

"I love a good book!" Ace replied, "But my all time favorite thing to do is preform... There's just something about having all those eyes on me, while I mystify everypony... It's a rush!"

Sylvia first looked to Golden Light with a kind smile, "Ah, I read up a few books on griffon history when I was in their kingdom. They've had some pretty interesting cultures. Though I hadn't stayed there long enough to read up a lot on them." She then turned her gaze to the pegasus, "Perform? What is it that you perform, exactly?" The dragon had heard music from the griffons, and had seen some amazing abilities from other pony-like beings. She had a feeling their creativity knew no bounds.

They both liked books? That caused a smile to slowly come to his face. He knew others liked books but he normally didn't meet any that did. Usually due to him being so busy reading instead of actually talking to others and those he did try to talk to were just reading to get their homework done and not for fun like he was. Griffon Kingdom? That was something he doubted he'd see.
"Wh..What was in those books?" Golden Light asked, a look of interest was shining in his ruby eyes as he looked up at Sylvia.
Perform? Golden Light was curious though Sylvia beat him to the question and the young stallion merely listened curiously.

A strange glint came to Ace's eyes, a devious grin morphing his features.
"That's my talent. I do magic tricks."
He looked around, identifying what could be used in the environment around himself.
"Hmm, I usually have more to work with..."

Sylvia turned to the small foal first and chuckled, the sound thrumming through her plated chest, "Mostly cultural information on the gryphons. They seem to have an affinity for machines, like odd flying machines I used to see hovering in the air." She turned her gaze to the pegasus and caught his grin. She grew a bit wary of him and raised a brow, "Well, shouldn't a performer be able to use what's around them?" She teased, her tail flicking back and forth slowly as they slowed down their pace.

Magic tricks? Wait...wasn't Ace a Pegasuses?
"But...I thought only Unicorns could do magic." Golden Light voiced his confusion.
His ruby eyes turned their gaze to Sylvia as she answered his question. Flying machines? But why would griffins have those? Were they unable to fly at some time long ago? But...Sylvia claimed she had seen these things, so it couldn't be too long ago...right? The young foal turned his gaze away as he tried to figure it out in his head.
