Spring did as was suggested. He used his magic to move the objects onto the floor of the freezer. "A pleasure to meet you. I am Spring Tide." He said softly to the other occupants. When the shelf was clear, he helped to move it as gently as possible with his magic. Spring had to concentrate to get the thing to move. He wasn't exactly a heavy lifter when it came to telekinesis. With Bolt’s help the shelf shifted towards the middle of the cooler. There was only bare metal behind it.
Spring helped Bolt to move several more of the shelves, but stopped when he heard the loud boom. The child began to make more noise, which really would not help their current situation. Spring looked to the family, smiled sympathetically and whispered "I'm sure everything will be fine. No need to cry." At least, he tried to smile sympathetically and sound calm. Blatantly lying to ponies' faces was never a good idea, but it probably was not a good idea to give into fear and do something reckless in a tense situation like this either.
"Uh, didn't catch your name," Spring Tide spoke quietly to the red unicorn. He paused a moment to observe Bauble's anxious movements. "Is he going to be alright?" Speaking of reckless actions, Spring really hoped Bauble did not try to do something that would give away their hiding place.

"Dangit," Bolt muttered as moving the shelf revealed no temperature control. "Alright, keep looking I guess," the earth pony spoke, moving onto another shelf.
"You're sure it's in here?" Bauble asked.
"No, I'm not sure. But I'd rather look then assume its not. You could help, you know."
"Well..." The blue unicorn took a step forwards, looking around, "What am I looking for?"
"Anything. Anything that's not a shelf or a box or frozen food."
The unicorn paced around a bit more, glancing in a multitude of directions before stopping near the unicorn family. "What about this?"
"What?" Bolt asked, squinting in Bauble's direction.
"This rectangle thing on the wall. Behind her." Upon closer inspection, there did indeed seem to be something slightly protruding from the wall, in front of the unicorn mother. It was hard to see from anything but a close distance, without knowing it was there. It looked like a thin metal panel, though a thin layer of ice was covering its seams.
Bolt stepped towards it, excusing the mother as she scooted herself and her child to the side. "Try opening it."
"Let me," the red unicorn said, making this corner of the room now where everyone save Spring Tide and Marina were crowded. With the glow of her magic covering the panel, and a few seconds of jostling, the unicorn managed to open the panel, revealing some simple temperature controls behind it.
"There," Bolt spoke, turning a dial all the way down. "Give it a while, but that oughta turn off the temperature control. Good find." Bolt stepped back towards Marina's corner of the room, while the red unicorn turned around to look at Spring Tide.
"My name's Summer, since you asked. Didn't know we were making acquaintances. Bauble will be fine." Summer shot a look at the blue unicorn, who was staring at the control panel. "Right?"
"What? Yeah, yeah. So long as no one does anything stupid," he responded, turning to eye Spring Tide.
Despite their discovery of the temperature controls, the room's coldness wasn't showing any sign of letting up. The air was still frigid and their breathes were still visible. If the sound of the cooling system hadn't finally turned off, one might have been skeptical that they had done anything at all.

Spring Tide gave Bauble a puzzled look. Did that other pony really think so poorly of him? He was probably the pony least likely to do something crazy. Bauble had calmed down rather nicely from a moment ago. Apparently giving him a task to focus on helped to quell his feelings of impending doom and the dread of discovery. He might still be afraid, who would not be in such a situation; but he was no longer dwelling on it which was an improvement.
Spring turned to Summer. "What else would we do? We might be here for a considerable length of time, and will probably have to work together to last the night. I would much rather know your name then have to call you 'red unicorn'."
The cooling machinery had turned off, which meant that they were no longer in danger of freezing to death. Two good things in five minutes was not a bad start to an evening of mass panic and flight. "You spoke of the Rainlock forces a moment ago. I am afraid I am not terribly familiar with them. Do you really think that they can repel this attack on Manehatten?", Spring asked Summer.
