”Oh, that’s great to hear.” She said with a soft smile, her face scrunching pleasantly which beamed with a friendly pleasantness. She clearly had warmed up quickly, as if she could tell Sylvia was sincere, in fact, she exuded a peculiar aura which almost made the dragon feel calmer in her presence, like some sort of gift in the manner she presented herself around non-ponies. It almost was intoxicating. ”I absolutely adore dragons, even if they can be scary sometimes. Expect my friend, Spike. He’s the kindest, most gentle soul I know. But he’s just a baby dragon, after all. And no need to be surprised, I adore all creatures, great and small. I have a certain knack with them too, it’s my very special talent.” Once more she beamed a smile. ”And don’t worry about me, I may not look like much but I can handle myself against a dragon.” Her reassurance, in its cheerful and happy tone, would feel unsettling and just a tad frightening. It was as if she knew something Sylvia could not picture from such a frail and timid little pony.
As the two conversed, several more soldier ponies approached – all pegasi. They were adorned in heavy armor (for a pegasi) with shields attached to their shoulders. The trio saluted the other two, seemingly out of reflex and addressed them. ”We’re you’re back-up, this goes south; we’ll put the beast down. Our mage has already departed, he will meet us at the cave. We’re moving out, now.” Said the mare with the most military flare on her shoulders as she shot up into the sky, followed by her subordinates.
Fluttershy stumbled her words in a fluster, though the pegasi had already departed and were now high in the air. She bit her bottom lip in frustration, ”A little warning would be nice once and awhile.” She snapped, least as much as mare with her temperament could. ”I’m not much of a flier, so don’t worry about keeping up with me. I’ll meet you there.” She said, softly batting her wings and gaining monochrome of flight. It took the soft yellow mare a few seconds to gain enough lift to begin following after the other pegasi. She would clearly take some time to catch up, if at all, as the three others had already made some headway towards a nearby mountain range. -- After a short flight towards the mountain range, which for Fluttershy took an extra quarter turn of the clock, she and Sylvia would find the care near the summit hidden amongst the rocks and firs and pines of the picturesque mountain side. The cave was unremarkable, except for the certain rumble of something deep inside, mixed with a strong heat blasting its way out from the cave’s entrance. The mineral smell and collected steam on their fur and scales suggested a natural hot springs like resided somewhere inside – though not magma veins, it was the next best choice for dragons – and ponies alike. They felt great and the mineral properties were like magic for anyone's body.
Fluttershy stepped forward, towards the entrance. Her tail was tucked tightly between her legs as she sheepishly trotted towards it. One of the pegasi soldier slapped her on the flank, startling her and forcing her to jump into the air and run in fright, only to be stopped suddenly by the highest ranking pegasi slamming a helmet on her head with a chuckle. “”Don’t die now.” She said, to the amused chuckles of her underlings and the unicorn mage. It was clear they did not trust in her abilities, despite what their commander has said. She used her own wing to push Fluttershy forward towards the cave, while Fluttershy’s hooves dug into the soil in protest, till finally they gave way and she tumbled forward and inside a meter or two.
The soldier looked at Sylvia expectantly while signaling she should follow, ”Well, get going. We’ll be here when the coward screws this up. Just keep her alive, she is an 'Element of Harmony', after all.” Said the leader, to which the mage muttered a, “Like that means anything, anymore.” To which the group responded with snorts and snickering.
Inside the cave’s entrance, Fluttershy collected herself now back on her hooves. She adjusted the ill-fitting helm that was thrust upon her, and with some courage mustered inside her she took the first step forward, ”Just one hoof in front of the other, you can do this Fluttershy. You’ve done it before. It’s just a… a… fire-breathing, pony-eating, sharp tooth and nail, deadly and mean dragon.” She let out a sharp ‘eep’ and tucked into herself, then, once more with newfound courage, stood upright and proud, ”No, I can do this. For my friends, for Equestria. Come on, Sylvia. With a good dragon at my back, I have nothing to fear from this bad dragon. We can do this, I know it.” Even her boast was soft spoken.
With newfound resolve and some deep seated courage, Fluttershy continued forward. The cave itself was rather uninteresting, the occasional stalagmite and stalactite jutting before them. They would have to pass a few corners, down some slippery rocks, and past some unusual fungi as they followed the growing heat towards what must be the hot-springs – as well as the growing sounds of something disturbed hidden inside. Oddly, the threatening sounds they had heard near the entrance had begun to grow into more moans, then groans, then into what almost sounded like crying. It certainly wasn’t as deep and menacing as it had first sounded like, instead turning more juvenile and with a broken voice – pubescence.
Eventually, they came to a final bend. A fait light glowed from around the curve they had come upon. In it’s glow, they could see the shadow of a dragon, though nowhere near fully grown. This was the shadow of a juvey. Their silhouette was awkward, their now clear cries pathetic and whimpering. The intelligence must have been wrong, the reports clouded by scared ponies afraid for their lives and limbs. If this was the dragon who helped attack Fillydelphia, he wasn’t nearly as frightening as Sylvia nor as intimidating as a full-grown dragon. What perplexed Fluttershy was why this dragon was seemingly crying, so much so that she crept closer to the edge of the bend to get a better look. There she saw a teenage red-dragon, draped over the side of a hot-spring pool and surrounded by a sizeable horde of clearly pony trinkets, art, jewels and other valuables. It was a note-worthy amount of loot, perfectly expected for a dragon coming of age, but for whatever strange reason, his reaction to was anything but expected. Fluttershy skirted back and turned to Sylvia.
”Oh my, this was… um, unexpected.” She whispered so for the other dragon not to hear. ”I’m sure this is the dragon we’re looking for but… he doesn’t seem like a mean dragon. It’s… it’s like he’s upset by something. Don’t think it could be from-“ She inquired, looking up and down Sylvia. ”You… don’t think he feels bad about how he got his horde, do you? Or is he upset he didn’t get enough? Oh this is going to be so frustrating. What do you think we should do? He looks really upset.”

The trip went by rather smoothly. Sylvia felt a bit better knowing armored Pegasi were with them, but wasn't very fond of the way they spoke about her brethren. She hoped no blood would have to be shed today, and she was more irritated as they showed the Pegasus very little respect. The dragon had half a mind to smack them with her tail, but knew to do so wouldn't be the best idea...the armored ponies most likely wouldn't take it lightly.
One of the things she caught was their talk on "Element of Harmony". What did that mean? They didn't seem to be too impressed with the yellow winged pony...did she have some sort of importance before? Sylvia was about to bring it up, but the cave was looming before them, and she had to follow Fluttershy into the cave.
When Sylvia rounded the corner, she had readied herself for a fight, but upon seeing the weeping dragon, she couldn't help but raise an eye-ridge. He was around her age, a bit smaller in stature. And to hear him cry, it was odd. She had never seen a dragon cry before...of course, the only other dragon she knew was her father, and he never shed a tear, nor showed much emotion at all besides anger...
At Fluttershy's rambling, the dragon looked down at the pony, surprised at how brave she was thusfar. She certainly was an interesting pegasus, and the dragon herself seemed to enjoy her company, "Honestly, I'm not sure what can be bothering him...but standing here discussing it won't help us, we may as well ask. Just stay close just in case it's a trick."
Though Fluttershy was hesitant about confronting the dragon, Sylvia slowly crept forward, her wings gently caped upon her back. She didn't want to look threatening, instead wanting to find out what the young dragon's problem was. "Excuse me." She spoke up, her voice soft but firm. Her tail flicked side by side. A part of her was eager to meet this new dragon. She never thought she'd meet another her age before. "You look upset...is there something we can do to help?"

Immediately upon Sylvia approaching the lamenting teenage dragon, he turned with a reptilian hiss and scurried over his a mound of his horde to take refuge opposite the hot spring he had been bawling into just a moment before. He peeked out from the cover of the lip, still hissing a threat from his serpentine tongue. ”Back off, this is my treasure!” He clawed at the air towards Sylvia in a half-attempt at a threat towards the larger, older dragon. ”I earned it! You didn’t, not go before I do worse to you than I did to those ponies…” His words trailed off at the end, finishing in a whimper. He growled then, regain his threatening posture. ”Beat it! I’m not scared by you, you won’t be able to just walk in here and take this bounty for yourself – I’m watching you.” He muttered, indicating with his claw that his eyes were on Sylvia, ever watching and aware as she still perched behind the lip of the hot spring like a skittish cat.
”Um, hello.” Fluttershy spoke up as she poked her head from around the corner and stepped forward beside Sylvia, ”I’m sorry we startled you. My friend and I were just concerned. It’s very unusual to see a mighty dragon such as you so sad. We were hoping that we may be able to help somehow.”
Now in her presence, the teenage dragon appeared to relax ever so slightly, letting his guard slip for but a moment as he raised his head up to get a better look at the new pony which addressed him. He stumbled for words for a moment as he tried to find a proper response, to which Fluttershy neatly responded with another warm smile. Even in presence of the obvious spoils of her deceased kind, she radiated a certain glow about her, one which even the distraught beast started to become enchanted by.
”I… uh…” The dragon tried to speak, though couldn’t find the words in time before reflexively hunkering back down as the little Pegasus mare took another step forward, ”No! No tricks, you’re here to kill me. I can tell, I’m smart, you see.” He said, tapping a talon to his skull for them to see.
Fluttershy’s eyes glanced up to Sylvia’s and rolled in response. Her initial plan had apparently failed, but a certain fire in those overly large orbs suggested she wasn’t willing to give up trying to resolve this as peacefully as possible. ”I’m sorry, maybe we’ve gotten off on the wrong hoof-, uh talon, my name is Fluttershy and this is my friend, Sylvia. We were hoping maybe you’d like to talk about what’s bothering you, just us. Isn’t that right, Sylvia.” She looked around to the large bounty the dragon had collected, approaching one pile of fine silver and china plates, much of it crystal and uranium glass, laced in gold and silver. Old heirlooms from numerous pony families now all left in a pile inside a sweltering cave. She tapped the pile with a forehoof, ”An impressive horde you’ve gathered, don’t you agree Sylvia? Must have been difficult, where did you get it all?” She asked, though knowing.
Dejectedly, the teenage red dragon watched as Fluttershy molested one pile of his horde, ”Don’t touch that, it’s mine! And yes… it was difficult. But the Diamond Dogs helped, even if they are a bunch of curs.” He begun to explain, ”Fillydelphia, I burned it down. Burned it all down, everything and one who stood in my way. I worked for it!” He retorted.
Fluttershy nodded, ”I see. Must have been very brave, but why did you have to burn-up ponies for it? I’m sure a big, strong dragon like you could have simply asked and they would have gladly given you many of these things.” She bluffed, trying to judge the reaction of the dragon. ”Did you ask before hurting them?” She inquired inquisitively.
The teenage dragon glanced down, wringing his talons together, ”Uh, no… But the Diamond Dogs said they’d kill me and my kind on sight. They said you hate our kind; and I know you force us away from your settlements. And that you’re a bunch of weak, mean little creatures who would rather use our hides as shields than look at us! You’re the scourge, you deserve all that’s come to you.” Fluttershy looked up to Sylvia, then back to the teenager. ”I think Sylvia would disagree with you. Yes, your snoring can bother us, but it’s just because you can produce so much smoke. We just want you to reside where it cannot hurt us, but it’s not in malice.”
The red dragon eyed Fluttershy with suspicion as she spoke, unsure if he believed what she had said. ”Yeah right. I’ve seen and heard how you ponies deal with dragons, the drakes too. You’re not all sunshine and gumdrops as you like to believe. Is this your namby-pamby plan? Try and make me feel bad for decimating you hooved weaklings, and bringing another dragon here to make me ‘realize’ I’m wrong or something stupid like that? She looks like another declawed pony pet, like all the other dragons that you call ’friends’. Can’t believe I was beginning to feel bad about it.” With a newfound courage and resolve, the dragon rose and addressed Sylvia. ”What say you throw off that dumb pony yoke and get like a real dragon. Let Garble here let you have a slice of this sweet loot I got, and with that yellow runt here, we can have a nice meal before heading back to that smoldering ruin of a city and show them what real dragons can do. It’ll be an all you can eat buffet with a prize at the center of each and every one of those stupid, hooved rats.”
As the attempt to talk the dragon down had begun to fail, Fluttershy let out a low, scared whimper as she skirted back a few steps, her tail firmly tucked between her legs. Her eyes darting between the teenage dragon and Sylvia. Her eyes pleaded with Sylvia to help, frightful from the hunger lust in the other dragon’s eyes.

Sylvia was at first completely willing to help the dragon, but as he spoke casually about burning innocent ponies and their city, her anger was beginning to rise. The dragon was amazed at how calm Fluttershy was throughout all of this. But the pony stood her ground even as the insolent dragon spoke of devouring the yellow pegasus alongside of Sylvia. She was tempted to pretend to take him up on his offer, but didn't want to frighten the small yellow creature more than she already was.
"How about you take your ill-gotten treasure and shove it down your serpentine throat?" Sylvia growled as she stood her ground. Her powerful tail began to lash back and forth as she crawled forward to stand protectively before the pegasus. "You're giving us dragons a bad name, burning these villages. Do you want our kind to be killed off? The ponies are only acting in self defense, just as we dragons act if anyone messes with our kin." She snorted, smoke billowing from her nostrils. If talking peacefully wasn't going to work, she would try intimidation. She was a bit bigger than this dragon, though she wasn't sure if fighting him was such a good idea either.
"How about you take your blood treasure and get out of here. I am no pet of the ponies, but I am willing to defend the weak and innocent if I must. I will not allow some punk dragon to keep killing and eating these creatures. I suggest you come with us peacefully, or we'll have to drag you out of this cave the hard way." Her claws clacked against the hard ground. Flames darted around her fangs in warning, "I warn you, I'm not to be underestimated."

The red-dragon, Garble, recoiled in fright upon Sylvia's resounding resolve to see this through as true as she had promised back in the city. As Fluttershy witnessed this turn-about, she too grew bolder, stepping up beside Sylvia and slamming her hoof on the stone with an echoing crack.
”Yeah!” Fluttershy softly scolded the young dragon, ”Why, you're just a big bully and worse yet, a murderer. How many ponies did you hurt to get these things? Huh, tell me.” The pegasus stepped closer, her eyes wide and angry. ”They're just material things, I know you dragons like to collect them but was it worth massacring innocent foals and mares for them? That's why you were distraught, wasn't it? You were eating yourself up over what you had done, weren't you?” Further she stepped towards the cowering dragon, once looking back to Sylvia, flicking her head to signal for her to follow behind. ”You're not a bad dragon at all, just angry and misled. Those Diamond Dogs and whoever said everything you wanted to hear and you, for a while, thought you were getting it all, didn't you. Poor soul, but it was too much, wasn't it. The screams, the pleas for life. They eat away at you. It's not your fault though, you were just lead astray by wicked creatures.” She cursed, as best and forceful as seemingly she could, which to say was more of an aggravated whisper.
Fluttershy was now just opposite the bubbling spring of boiling bacteria and water. So beautiful in its appearance, like a immaculate opal of the earth, that it is nearly transfixed the young mare as she approached the edge of the pool and caught for a moment her reflection upon its surface. ”We're not here to judge you, or condemn you, just to find some answers. A lot of ponies just want to know why and you're the only one that can give them it, so if you would like to, if you really want, come with u-”
The young dragon skirted away like a feral animal, crawling lizard like around another stalagmite and hissing at the other two. “Lies! I go out there, you or some other little pony will kill me, or try at least. I'm not stupid. You can walk back out that cave and tell them I ain't coming out, you can tell it straight to the long face on your dumb pony princess, I ain't budging. And I swear, either you take one step closer I will send you back looking like mince meat.”
Fluttershy softly stepped back beside Sylvia as she shook her head in disappointment. ”Oh dear, think I just made it worse. We're going to need to flush him out now...”

Sylvia's golden eyes narrowed. She kept close behind Fluttershy, ready to intervene if need be. The young pony did have a point, perhaps he was misled, but it didn't excuse him for what he had done. And if they were to leave him, he would most likely continue his old ways. No, he had to face the consequences. Perhaps if he was truly sorry, the ponies of Fillydelphia would take mercy on him. But she would not stand for the murder of so many innocents for treasure. Even though she loved the precious gems and gold, she would not stoop so low to take them by such force.
"You can certainly try, young dragon, but you and I both know that you would not get out of here unscathed." Her tail flicked side by side as she spread her wings within the cave, making herself appear larger, more intimidating. Sylvia's forked tongue darted out as she hissed, "I do not wish there to be a fight between us, but if you will not cooperate with us, I'm afraid I have no choice." She crouched low, ready to pounce at a moments notice. Her voice grew a bit more threatening, "If you do choose to fight, I promise you things will be more difficult in the long run. But if you show the ponies that you will change your ways, perhaps they will be merciful in their punishment for you." Her eyes watched the other dragon closely, "It is your choice."

A sinister little chuckle erupted from the young dragon, slow, cackling, and with a unsettling pop behind it. He peered out from behind the stalagmite, his slanted eyes fell upon Sylvia, narrowed and beamed as he glistened a spot of white from the fangs in his maw.
”Why do I need atonement when I got my own Mercy Seat right here a top of mound of gold. So I'll take my chances right here, love.” He hissed out, mockingly. ”And forgetful are we? I'm a red dragon just as you, your fire is useless. In fact I'd welcome it, so invigorating, like the warm blood of mammals.” He snaked to the far side of the cave wall, his shadow enveloping Fluttershy from afar as the red light of deep magma shone from deep within the cave. ”You're also larger, I'll give you that and normally I'd be shaking in my scales, but you're in my den and guess what, you got no room to move. I could be upon you in an instant, right under your scales, claws and teeth deep, just like I did to those pony saps. Just like I'll do to that yellow piece of meat beside you. Bet she's as tender as yearling.”
Fluttershy recoiled in both disgust and fright, inching her way back towards the edge of the chamber with her ears flat against her mane to block out the words of the other dragon. She was seating, quivering, obviously unable to handle the wordy onslaught – her mind a flutter with the abject horrors she imagined at the claws of the dragon. Her voice shook and failed her, it was clear she wanted to scream and run but was too frozen to do it. ”Sylvia – help?!” She spoke as she hyperventilated, now frozen in fear, completely locked up.
Garble grinned, ”What a scared little pony, can't believe you'd dirty yourself with such second rate creatures of those.” He slinked closer, rounding another stalagmite just a breath closer than before. His attention was firmly planted on the pegasus and shown with a hunger in his eyes. He always stayed just out of reach, behind a pillar of earth and with the many such objects between him and Sylvia, he had room to maneuver unabated. ”I'm getting closer, little pony.” He taunted, and as he had, a great plume of steam exploded up from deeper inside the cave and blew out and choked the chamber with its intense heat and boiling droplets of water. The steam obscured the chamber, Sylvia losing sight of Garble, and in the momentary chaos, Sylvia could hear a ear piercing scream of pain and fright erupt behind her.

Sylvia did her best to keep a close eye on the dragon, her head moving with every slither he made. Unfortunately, she allowed herself to be distracted by his words, her own anger rising at how he spoke to the pony behind her. As steam flowed forth from the cave, concealing the red dragon from view, Sylvia let out a fierce hiss. Her heart sank when she heard the pained scream and she began to flap her wings as much as she could to clear the area behind her. She didn't want to pounce and hit the yellow pegasus by accident.
She kept an eye out for any sign of the red scaled-dragon, wanting to fight him off or away from her new companion. She yelled out a challenge, "Leave the pony out of this you little coward. Why don't you take on an opponent that can fight back?"

As the steam cleared. Sylvia found Fluttershy laying spread on the floor, her legs out at all sides and eyes twirling in their sockets in a daze. She had been knocked down, trampled perhaps, but aside from some likely bruising, no other damage was apparent. The pegasus's head rocked as she tried to keep the world around her from spinning. It took her a moment but she eventually looked up to Sylvia and faintly smiled, but in that moment, her face turned to shock and she gasped. Another eruption from a steam geyser blasted the cave and showered it in a cloak of mist.
In the instant the steam suffocated the cave, something jumped onto Sylvia's back with a howling screech and planted itself on the crook of her neck while two strong talons grasped at her horns. ”Oi, missed me, love?” The teenage dragon mocked as he pulled her by the horns, as if trying to steer her to his whim. ”How about we cook the pony together; give me a good ol' whiff of that fire!” He demanded as he pulled her head to the right and down, straight at the last spot where the little butter-yellow pegasus has been knocked silly, and in that moment begun kicking at her neck and chest as he tried to yield a fiery reaction from the older dragoness, racking his talons down her scales.

Sylvia was about to open her mouth to ask Fluttershy if she were okay, but then the steam obscured her senses once more and she felt the dragon land on her back. She snarled in anger as her head was force down, her snout aimed at the dazed pony. Thankfully for Fluttershy, though, Sylvia contained her fire breath even though instinct wished her to. She dug her claws into the ground before letting out a fierce roar, giving a powerful leap into the air to either try bucking the dragon off, or scraping his head across the ceiling. Her powerful tail snaked towards her back to try and wrap around the teenage dragon's hind leg that was digging its claws into her side. He may have gotten the surprise attack, but Sylvia was going to prove that she was no pushover, even when it came to battling other dragons.
"You have no idea who you're messing with." She snarled in anger. There was one thing she learned from her father, and that was to defend herself with every fiber of her being. And this was one of those times.

Sylvia's reaction startled the dragon upon her back, as he believed he had the upper hand with his tactic, he found the dragon he was astride to be more ornery than he had originally anticipated. With her bucking, he dug into her hide harder as he tried to hang on the ride. Even as she struck the ceiling, brushing the male dragon's head against the stone, he still was firmly embedded upon her, though his grip begun to slip with each flailing motion. So concerned was he on staying upon her, he failed to notice the other appendage now wrapping around his ankle and in an instant, he was caught by her tail and lost his grip upon her. He swiped with a talon at it, and in the process found himself free and fell, landing with a crack and thud on the cave floor.
The dragon recovered quickly but, as he attempted to scamper to safety upon all four, he bumped into Fluttershy who blocked his path. The pony didn't appear so timed now as her eyes were imbued with a certain ferocity, one that would seem impossible for a soft spoken pony such as she. ”Hold him down!” She commanded as she stepped forward towards the cowering youth.
”Wait, wait, I was just playing around.” Garble pleaded, scratch back away from Fluttershy. ”Honest -” Upon his last word, his talon swept out and flung some dirt and rocks at Fluttershy's face as he tried to bolt to the left, away from between his two advisaries.

Sylvia was surprised at the strength in the small, normally shy pony's voice. As Garble threw dirt at the pony's face, the female dragon roared in anger and charged after him, ignoring the stalagmites on the ground as her scales scraped against them. As she drew near enough, she crouched low and pushed against the ground with her powerful hind legs. She pounced rather cat-like as she tried to pin the enemy dragon to the ground with her powerful claws.

Too flustered, battered and still reeling from being knocked around as he was upon Sylvia's back, the teenage dragon could not physically move quick enough to avoid Sylvia as she pounced upon him, pinning him to the ground. He reached out from under he claws with one of his own and grabbed upon a stalagmite in a futile attempt to pull himself free from the larger dragoness's clutches. When that failed, he refused to relent in his struggle, pushing, jerking and tugging in protest, though it was clear it was futile no matter how desperate he cried or pleaded, he was a trapped there, in their two grasp and at their mercy.
Fluttershy fluttered over and landed softly before Garbles and took a few steps closer, her gaze was intensely upon the struggling dragon as she approached. Never breaking it and as his eyes met hers, he stopped his struggle against Sylvia and appeared to become transfixed as he suddenly went quiet. ”Turn away, Sylvia.” She commanded as her eyes glanced up to meet Sylvia's for just a moment. ”You can't see this. I'm sorry. It's for your own safety.” She returned her attention back to the sniveling dragon, waited a moment to be sure Sylvia had adverted her gaze, then let her eyes grow wide as she stared Garble's down.
The dragon beneath Sylvia's grip went slack, relaxed, as if he could no longer control himself in a drug-like induced stupor. There was no more resistance, he couldn't, not against the butter-yellow pony's stare. The dinning silence broke then as Fluttershy spoke, ”Now, you're going to play nice, right?”
Sylvia could feel Garble mutter some jumbled words and nod in agreement.
”And you're going to come quietly with us and explain yourself? And then you're going to beg for forgiveness from all those you hurt?” Fluttershy demanded sternly.
Once more, Sylvia could feel Garble mutter some inaudible words and nod.
”And then you're going to return everything you took?” Said Fluttershy.
And again, Garble simply muttered something and nodded.
”See, wasn't that much nicer than fighting? Ok, I think we can let you up.”
Fluttershy broke her stare, shook her head and regained her composure. ”Sylvia, it's ok now. You can look and you can let him go. He won't be troubling us anymore.” The pony stated, rather confidently. ”I'm sorry you had to witness that, it just makes me feel terrible to have to resort to such a thing. Just-” She scrunched her muzzle in frustration and shook, till she took a deep breath and calmed herself. ”But, it had to be done. I'm sorry.” She apologized to Garble, as if she was ashamed at whatever it was she had done to him. Garble merely replied with a incoherent mumble from his glazed over state. ”I think we should get him to the others outside.”

Sylvia was amazed that she was able to pin such a slippery enemy. She was equally surprised when Fluttershy strode up and advised the female dragon to glance away. "For my own...safety?" She blinked her large golden eyes but did not question the pony any further. Her serpentine neck tilted to the side in order to keep from looking in the yellow pegasus' direction. She listened to the exchange, unable to believe that it was the dragon she had pinned that was speaking back and agreeing with the pony.
After the dragon agreed to turn himself in, Sylvia was hesitant to release her grip on him. But at seeing the glazed look in his eye, she was taken aback. How was the pegasus able to do such a thing? Sylvia was both impressed, and a bit frightened. Fluttershy seemed so helpless most of the time, but she was able to hypnotize the dragon and subdue him. Sylvia helped the dragon up and prodded him forward with her head to shoo him in the direction of the cave mouth, wondering if he would ever go back to the way he was before Fluttershy's odd ability.
"How did you do that?" She asked the pony in a whisper, as if afraid that Garble would hear her.

Fluttershy beamed a smile to Sylvia upon her inquiry into that strange talent she just displayed, ”Oh, it's just my talent.” She said, matter-of-factly, and stepped over to Garble, beckoning him to follow. The enchanted dragon complied, without protest or a will of his own, completely enthralled by the butter-yellow mare as she led the dragon towards the cave's entrance with little more than her words and a friendly smile. Garble followed like a zombie with glazed over eyes with a shuffled step no more than tail’s length as he stammered towards the light of the cave's mouth, with several silhouettes peering into the dark from the outside. They muttered some jumbled words amongst themselves as they saw the scene approach and as the pony and dragon in-tow stepped into the light, the soldier ponies fell silent.
Fluttershy adverted her eyes to the light of the day, blocking out the Celestia's sun with a her forehoof – Garble failed to react to the piercing stimuli of the light, he appeared to be barely coherent to where he was. Fluttershy approached ranking mare and saluted softly, ”Mission complete, ma'am. You can take him back to Fillydelphia now, he won't be a problem anymore – Right!?” She growled the last word, smirking back to Garble who muttered a dazed affirmative before, as if a fog had been lifted from his mind, he perked up – though thoroughly confused as he looked around and wondered how he got outside.
The pegasi and unicorn soldier's appeared suspicious, wary even, as the unicorn's horn alight with magic and bound the dragon's wrists and muzzle with restraints. He put up a momentary resistance, pulling against the restraints before he seemed to come to accept his fate.
”Well, tickle me pink, I'm surprised you did it. Guess you Element Bearers are more than meets the eye. Not bad, not bad at all.” She commended, ”Alright, let's get this piece of trash back before nightfall. Ponies, move out!” Two pegasi grabbed a hold of Garble and lifted him into the air, while the unicorn enveloped in a teleportation spell and disappeared. ”Can you handle the big one? The commander will want to debrief you both.”
Fluttershy replied in a warm smile. The officer accepted the answer and took to the air after her underlings heading towards the city. As they left, Fluttershy turned towards the cave entrance and waited for Sylvia to emerge. ”So, ready to head back. I mean, if that's alright with you... I suppose you could just leave, if you wanted. I won't stop you.” The little pony said sheepishly, the fire she had inside her waning once more.
