Viper was just about to protest, but was forced to comply when Retort's magic started cleaning up the bathroom on its own. He sighed and walked out of the bathroom when the broom started prodding into his flank, right where his green snake cutie mark was. "Alright, alright." he said, folding his large leathery wings to his side to avoid causing further damage. He turned around to see Retort seemed pleased with all of the feathers he was collecting. He just guessed he will never understand that pony. "Perhaps it is time I get some sleep..Maybe this nightmare will start to wear off by the time I awake.."[/color] he glanced out the window for a moment, noticing that the sun was already in the sky above the horizon, marking it about early morning. Still, he was amazed that this didn't pain him. "Thank you.. again. You have shown me a great deal of kindness. He smiled and made his way upstairs to the room that the kind odd unicorn had mentioned. The hot rocks under the mattress were still as warm as if they had just came out of the oven. He felt strange about just crawling into his care-giver's bed, but maybe he could talk him into allowing him to make his own bed so that Retort wouldn't have to give up his own. He laid down, not even wincing when the hot rocks touched his scales. The heat was even inviting. He thought about maybe asking Retort if he knew how to reverse his cold-blooded-ness, but then thought better of it. His sore wings stretched out and laid over his back like a blanket, insulating in the heat a little bit better than the blankets could do. His head laid down on the fluffy feather pillow and it wasn't long before his eyes shut as well. His mind took him to a dark place. There was no light what so ever. Viper felt himself on the cold hard floor, stretched out on his belly. His wings were gone. So were his limbs. He lifted up his head and tried to focus. His night vision tried to focus, but it was nothing but darkness all around. He imagined himself moving forward and he felt his body begin to comply, sliding forwards on his belly. He had no idea how he was moving, but he didn't think about it too much. He felt his body become elongated and slither on forward. He was getting longer and longer. His tongue flickered out of his mouth and he was able to take in the scents of that around him. The smell was musty and old, like he was trapped in a cellar. Finally he had encountered some metal bars and slithered through toward a warm flickering fireplace. His tongue stuck out again and he scented something else. Dog? He looked up and saw a few diamond dogs standing on hind legs, speaking some unknown language. Next to the dogs stood a smaller pony that was black with bug-like wings and odd spherical eyes with no pupils. It was almost as monstrous as he pictured he himself would be. A snort sounded from his right, and when he turned his head, he saw a large reptilian creature curled up sleeping. It was similar to a dragon, yet there was something different about it. He slithered toward it filled with curiosity as to what this thing was. It awoke and lashed out at Viper with two long talons on it's paw. Viper fell backwards and snapped out of his dream. When the stallion awoke, he was shaking in a cold sweat in the bed. It was cold again, so he must have slept for quite a few hours. He stepped out of the bed and looked out the window. Judging by the sun, he had woken up in the mid-afternoon. He walked over to the chair where he had laid down his jacket and attempted to put it on. When he tried slipping it over his wings, the fabric tore and got shredded up by his wings. He sighed and tossed the whole thing in the trash. It seemed like his life was just falling apart.
