Willo nodded, glad that the other pony understood the way that she felt about the night. This whole trip had been become much nicer when she'd found the other pony, although she wasn't entirely sure that it wouldn't be that way regardless; she just was glad that the other pony agreed with her this well.
"I don't see what's so special about listening or understanding," she said absently, still flipping through the book although not quite engrossed yet. "How else are you supposed to know anything? If you're talking then you're not going to hear." she flipped the page again, nodding as she read.
She tended not to think about that particular belief of hers, mostly because it wasn't something she felt needed to be thought about; it was just something she'd taken for fact a long time ago. To learn you had to listen, not talk. She turned another page in the book, her reading picking up speed as she got more engulfed. She'd gone for the Marks book first, since she had never really heard of him.
"This is a really interesting read," she commented when the other mare came back with some water. She nodded her thanks and floated it over to sip it; she was glad the other mare had added the lemon to give it a nicer touch. She liked lemons and limes, it was something of a habit she'd developed. "This certainly wasn't what I was expecting... thanks for the water."
She read for a few more pages, before closing the book and carefully floating it back to the other pony's shelf. She could read more later tonight, after her walk; it didn't look like it would take that long for her to see the entire city and she didn't want to explore the orchard just yet. "Thank you so much," she said happily, her face lighting up. "You have no idea how long it's been..."

The other mare seemed to be just fine and content now, appearing more self confident, just she somewhat missed or avoided what Morrow meant - there is more to a pony than just the special talent. Still, that was probably just a matter of time, as the Unicorn most obviously was not used to much to spend much time with other ponies or even get compliments.
Which sounds just too familiar, doesn't it?, her own thoughts teased her, yet she just smirked softly. She knew how her bio-rhythm somewhat clashed with the awake times of other ponies, but that was just the way things were and she could only do so much about it.
"You know what", she said with a chuckle and patted the other pony friendly with a wing on the back while passing by, "You're a good pony to think like that. There are ponies that just can't listen-" Hm, that was actually quite an interesting train of thoughts she got on there, as she had to admit to herself. "Of course if everypony listens, what are they listening to..." She trotted back from the book shelf to her previous place.
Willo was apparently quite engulfed by what she was reading, and Morrow knew just alright what a book could do, she only just got that often to read more than a certain number of pages a day. She just burned that much energy with her work, but that was also something that added much to her life. Doing work and feeling content she did something. Still, she found the a late afternoon to be sometimes a good time to read and slowly got sleepy over a good book.
"Yes, it sure is-" Fascinated Morrow watched how glass, water and lemon slice made their way to the other mare, magically floating through the air. It just looked so... carefree and elegant. She probably blushed a bit, at least assumed it, as she caught her watching that every-day's use of magic that intensely. "Not what you expect- You meant the book or the water; adding the lemon was right, was it?"
She sweat a bit as she realized she didn't even ask about adding the citrus fruit, what if the other mare would not like it, but then, she seemed so happy! Morrow just hoped that Willo would tell her if something wasn't right to her. Relieved again, she replied the smile beamed at her, just not as intense. "You're very welcome, really, no problem- It's the least I could do, besides", she added with a chuckle, "It's really nice to have somepony over to chat with like that."
Her focus returning back to the table in front of her, she noticed brunch was almost over. What to do- Of course! Motivated to make a good impression on her guest and just to keep her that happy, she almost immediately found what she was looking for and placed a small paper box on the table, opening it with her mouth, "You want some dessert? Candied borage blooms and young dandelion honey drops, I know, I know, sounds quite noble, but it's a treat my mum sometimes sends me- from flowers in her shop", she didn't add how she haven't seen her parents for while after she moved here, since that was a thing of the past now, she had seen them again since. "I can show you around town afterward."

Willo gave the little pegasus a look when she asked what ponies were listening to if no one was talking. Wasn't it obvious? Then again it's always better to ask questions you don't have to think about, so that you don't have to... She cocked her head in the direction of the window, indicating the outside. "To that," she said absentmindedly. The window was shut so not much sound came through, but there was plenty of light, and there were plenty of sights to see. She smiled a little. "There's always something to listen to."
She sipped the water again, enjoying the feeling of it running down her throat and the nice taste the lemon gave it. Most of the time she only got this at restaurants, and in smaller towns she'd had to ask and they'd given her a strange look for it. "It's perfect, I love lemon," she said, laughing lightly at the other pony's worried face. She wasn't somepony to get all worked up about. "But I was talking about the book. I never would've seen it that way..." she trailed off for a moment, her mind wandering.
She really hadn't expected to come across another pony who shared her thoughts like this; it didn't seem like something that she could normally expect. She tended to be open to other ponies about some things, as well, but she had come to expect some sort of sleight of hand from other ponies, and even did a little herself when she was uncomfortable with what she was talking about.
"Oh," she said, coming out of her stupor when the other pony said something to her. She blinked a few moments before she managed to register what the other pony had said. "It's nothing special to talk at all," she said hastily, smiling awkwardly. "I'm glad you like to hear what I have to say, that's all I need." She sipped the water again, doing her best to keep her smile on.
"If you're offering... I don't want to put you out though," she said to the other pony. "I don't really eat dessert all that often." Using her horn she pulled the lemon off of the half-empty drinking glass and squeezed a few drops into the drink. "I kind of lost my interest in sweet things while I was in school. Silly, I know," she said, laughing lightly at herself. "Not that I don't like a little sweetness, it's just... most places use too much, you know?"

Following the movement of Willo's head, Morrow looked over to the window nearby, nodding her head slowly as she felt sunbeams tickling on her face. It was funny how somepony could take something as granted until she payed attention to it. There was Saddle Lane outside, the wooden buildings along it and one could make out ponies passing by on the other side of the street, but most dominant, yet so subtle that ponies could almost ignore, the sun, Celestia's gift to ponykind, "I know- I mean, you know it and I know it..." She left the sentence open as it didn't feel right to her to judge all those ponies who did not, they probably would, eventually. With some help?
Yes, the delivery Pegasus could be relieved now that she knew that the lemon was alright. It was funny, wasn't it, as she thought to herself, how she could get so worried about so little things, but when writing the pamphlet, it came all so easy off hoof, compared. "Swell, that's wonderful then that you could enjoy both, and really, I know, that book can be quite an eye opener..." Was she trailing off now, she sure did hope not do so, "It's fascinating how he explains the idea, mind and material world in connection-"
When did she, if even ever talk with anypony about that like that, of course there had been some ponies in Manehattan who shared the ideas, but plenty then were just not that enthusiastic to dig deeper into the material. She didn't blame them though, they were all still young, and much more so back then. Now here though, there was a pony who thought about things, just as much and in a way like she did, without getting lost while doing so and the Unicorn knew how to set her priorities.
"Oh, sure, I do like", the mahogany Pegasus replied, honestly, maybe sounding a bit too excited about it as she admitted to herself in thoughts, "Really, no worries,... It's quite a pleasant conversation, we should have more like it". That didn't sound as clam and smart as she hoped it would, but good enough, right?
She listened patiently to what Willo had to tell her to nod then, again, "It's not silly at all, I know that some places in the Big Apple had sugar on it all, apples, oatmeal, bread-rolls, I bet Canterlot is just like that", she picked on borage blossom out of the box and in her mouth, the candied petals softly breaking on her tongue. She placed the box then aside from herself, so it wouldn't look like as of she wanted to eat it empty, and close enough to Willo to keep up the offer. All fair. "It's sometimes-food, just something for a right moment, and that usually never ever is alone. It's more fun when one can share, but if you don't like that fine as well."

"I wasn't paying too much attention at the time - I was just a little filly - but I think that it became the popular thing to sugar everything," Willo said cheerily, laughing and making a face. It was nice to have someone she could relax and just talk to, even about silly things like this. "All the other fillies seemed to love it, but after one day and two sugar-dusted croissants..." she stuck her tongue out. "Give me lemon any day." She laughed again, finishing off her water once she was done.
It felt very good to laugh; she tended not to for some reason, usually because she found very little to laugh about in her day-to-day life. She supposed it made a certain amount of sense; she didn't have a home or money or even a warm place to sleep, what was there to laugh about? She was happy enough with the sleeping world to explore, but not really prepared for any sort of joviality. "It feels good," she said aloud, sighing a little contentedly. She didn't even bother trying to explain, assuming the other pony would understand.
"I never would have tied equinity to the process of creation," Willo nodded eagerly, once she had finished relaxing. "I'll make sure to read them boht later tonight, since you're showing me around," she said, smiling. She really did intend it too; she hadn't really thought of philosophy as something practical before. Aristrotle & Neightzsche both were focused more on epistemology; while it was certainly important, it was much more about interpretation of the world rather than changing it. She was a passive pony normally so it had made a lot of sense to her.
"I'm.. glad you like talking with me," she said cheerily, "I tend to do more listeninig then talking... for obvious reasons. I've found that more often than not ponies just don't want to listen to me." she frowned a little. "One time I tried to explain what light had taught me to another pony... but then they didn't understand why I was upset when they said straight up that what I'd said wasn't true for them." She sighed a little. "Listening's so much easier.
She noticed the other pony putting some of the candied blossoms near her for her to try, or not, and smiled. The other pony really was pretty unobtrusive now that she wasn't busy; it really reminded Willo a little of herself. She took a blossom gracefully and savored the taste on her tongue. It was a little too sweet for her, and she wouldn't eat another one, but it was still pretty tasty. "So, you want to talk some more? It feels weird, saying so much," she said, blushing awkwardly.
